Fantastic camping spot! We booked out both of the river spots so that we had more room and privacy. It was perfect! The walk up to the bath house wasn’t bad at all. Facilities were nice and clean and cared for. We didn’t use the WiFi. The sink and electric were very conveniently located. There was an issue with the outlets, but the hosts were super quick to respond and got us set up with alternate electricity sites in the meantime. Incredibly accommodating. Being next to the water was perfect! The dogs loved it. Plenty of flat spots for tents and parking. Beautiful site. I’ve camped quite a bit within about a 3 hour radius of Austin, and this has been the best! Loved it

Woody’s land was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and completely at ease. The property is spacious, peaceful, and beautifully maintained perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends. We especially loved how private and quiet it felt, surrounded by nature but still easy to access. The campsite had everything we needed and more. The views were stunning, and the stars at night were magical. Woody was a fantastic host friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We made some unforgettable memories here, from campfire chats to exploring the area, and we’re already talking about coming back. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect and recharge with good company, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Even though there was a huge storm Friday night, we still had a great time! We stayed at site 7 and the quiet and seclusion was nice! It also helped the site is on higher ground so we didn’t get flooded. We did a short hike while it was dry and saw a lot of cool things around! Our dogs had a fun time and loved exploring. We definitely plan on going back in the future! Thank you for having us :)

3 nights at Dos Rios - Hill Country Adventure

We enjoyed our stay in the big cabin. It fit our family of 7 and we had plenty of things to do! This place was perfect for kids, even toddlers. We felt safe the entire time and the property manager was there if we needed anything. We’ll definitely come back, but with friends!!!

We were met by Al himself and given a tour of the land and then upgraded to a better spot complete with a phantastic Merry Prankster inspired bus to hang out in! Had to leave a night early but will 10/10 return!

We had a full group out this weekend and this spot did not disappoint! The views throughout the property were amazing and the drive in was a site to behold. Fritz and Ken were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The property is beautiful. Looking forward to taking my wife out later this year.

Fantastic camping on some of the most beautiful land in Texas - this place seriously rivals all Texas state parks. Beautiful topography combined with natural springs and diverse wildlife make this ranch a must see. We saw quail, turkey, whitetail, red stag (including an albino), javelina, horned frog, bass, sunfish, etc. The landowner and his assistant were extremely helpful when it came to booking the reservations, driving directions and navigating the property. Also, there are no cattle on the property, which is nice when it comes to walking around (no landmines to avoid).

We loved staying in the Ultimate Privacy Jupe. We swam, fished, paddle boarded and explored all day. The river access was awesome and we enjoyed the site a lot. The bed was comfy and we stayed warm and dry during an evening thunder storm. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Tentrr 5B. Great camping site. The river nearby is awesome/clean water and good fishing. Very remote and was quiet at night. Campsites are very close together so not really private. Hosts are nice. The bed was comfortable. Downside is the public restrooms and showers are absolutely disgusting/dirty. It’s worse than a nasty truck stop. I would not advise anyone much less a woman use them. Overall, though it’s a good place with great river access but if you’re looking for somewhere that you have a little privacy this is not it as there are RV’s/campsites stacked right on top of each other and people are everywhere. If you don’t want that then you should go somewhere else. Also the James River Icehouse is right across the road from the campground and it’s excellent!! Great burgers and people there are super friendly!!

About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. NO FISHING Free firewood for use during your stay and can make a good deal if you want to take some home! As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2.
