I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2. We have a Wildlife Exemption on the property and enjoy managing native song birds. We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. This is off-grid living all the way, and we are constantly learning new and better ways to do things. Boulderdash is quite amazing! We usually camp in tent campsites because we have a tiny camper, and we don't like to be among huge RVs. Boulderdash is a quite small campground but the design is great and RVs do not face each other and are not lined up, so everybody has privacy. We stayed for the first two nights in the RV site 3, and for the last night we moved to tent site 1 by the river. The tent campsites are the best for who likes nature. While they don't have water or power at the campsite itself, they have a great outdoor washing area with potable water, electricity and a picnic table. There's a port-a-potty besides the bathrooms on the hilltop. Our campsite had a fire ring, a grill, a great picnic table, and you're steps from the river. Water was pretty low but it was running because there are some springs that feed into it. Everything at Boulderdash is well thought out, the bathrooms are super clean and cute, shower is FANTASTIC! Every picnic table has a flower arrangement and a jar of corn to feed the deer, and a small shop. Wi-fi made camping bearable to our teenage daughter. Also fantastic are the hosts: Carole-Anne is super friendly, and received us with a pumpkin bread that she baked to all campers who were there on thanksgiving. That really set the tone right. She was super accommodating to our requests, and is just an overall nice person. Their dogs and cats are super sweet, as are the deer that come every day to get sone corn. We had a wonderful time!

I had the best time with my little family in our very first camping trip here. Everything was well kept the most beautiful views and scenic river. The evem owners checked on us and asked if we needed anything and I had rembered that our kids cot stayed behind and could use an extra one which they graciously brought by for kiddos. We loved the community feeling, yet still with had privacy and the convenient amenities. We will be back again 100%

My husband and I both enjoyed our stay at site 2! The host was friendly and the campground was overall clean. There was a beautiful view of the river that provided a great place to see sunrise and sunset. The river was accessible, but by a hill so I would keep that in mind if you have difficulty with steep inclines. Clear, cool and clean waters! Little to no light pollution allowing for an incredible view of the stars at night. It is by a county road so there was some road noise but not frequent. We will definitely be back in the future!
