The nearest town, Menard, is about a 12 minute drive from the property and has a grocery store, gas stations, a couple restaurants, a pub and a bakery. Lovers of history might enjoy visiting the Presidio de San Saba, about 20 minutes from the farm, as well as the historic Pioneers Rest Cemetery in town. The cabins are some of the last old fishing camps from the 1950's that have been remodeled. They are very up to date and come fully furnished. Very spacious and comfortable for a nice relaxing stay. The house is very spacious. So much room to spread out and not be cramped up. Large patio with a table and chairs, gas BBQ grill, very nice large round fire pit, boat ramp if you bring your boat, and fully equipped kitchen.

We keep a constant flow of bird seed located in feeders around the ranch, and we have seen all kinds of birds making this a great place for birders. The ranch has nice elevation changes with a wet weather creek that traverses the property. There are some trails to hike or mountain bike. The cabin is rustic without plumbing or electricity, but we enjoy it and it's fun to think it's everything we would need. Weekend Trip to Angela L'S Land

Did tent and car camping on Angela's land and appreciated how quiet and peaceful it was. The stars were out and the sounds of nature surrounded us. There was some light animal activity, as there should be in mostly untouched land, so be sure to hang up your trash. Angela was so hospitable. So were the more long-term residents at the front of the camp. We felt like we were in our own little oasis at our site but where the shower and restroom was was always very welcoming.

We absolutely loved the dome! It was so private and serene. Beautiful views of the sunset in the evening and deer passing by in the morning. The dome itself was clean, well designed, and well appointed (down to the airfryer and adjustable desk with a monitor!). The bed was really comfortable with no shortage of linens and the A/C was nice an powerful! It was a very short drive from Llano, close to Enchanted Rock, and just far enough from Austin to feel like a true getaway. Hands-down an amazing experience!

Had an amazing stay! The host was very responsive and welcoming. The campsite was peaceful, private, and surrounded by tons of wildlife — exactly what I was hoping for. We loved camping out on this Beautiful Camping site! The night sky's and night city view are absolutely Amazing and the views during the day are breathtaking! Their cows are so cute and add that little texas feel to the whole stay, we love how maintained the property was and the campsite was cleared and clean! Absolutely Recommend to anyone!

Wow! Loved the drive to sites. So easy to locate your site and the views are incredible! I specifically booked for the stars and it did NOT DISAPPOINT! Felt like we were under the milky way! Plan to come back to stay at all the different sites and bring a crew too!

1 night at Low Gear Farmstead

We loved our night here. We went swimming in the river, it was the perfect temperature. Bjorn the dog hung out with us all night and got along great with our dog, he was fantastic we were so sad leaving him in the morning. Nice and shady area, felt very private!

Hosts were friendly, hospitable and communicative. We enjoyed the shade at the River View location. River access down the road was convenient. Would recommend for someone looking for a rustic, truly primitive experience
