We are located in northeast Tennessee, near the Cumberland Gap where TN, KY, and VA meet. Our campsites sit on the Powell River, offering a peaceful retreat alongside one of the longest free flowing rivers in the eastern US! The Powell River is recognized as one of the most biologically diverse aquatic systems anywhere in the world.
We're conveniently located 2 miles off of highway 25E, making it a simple 13 minute drive to the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park Visitor Center and a 12 minute drive to the historic town of Cumberland Gap. Stay with us and choose between spending your day on the water or hiking the mountains!
We offer 2 individual campsites with access to a shared riverfront and outhouse.
Private Booking: If you are interested in reserving the entire property for a private experience or group-camp, please contact us for availability.
Water: There is no potable water on-site. We recommend bringing your own or we will be glad to leave you water if you select this as an add-on!
Pets: Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome. Please clean up after them.
Alcohol: Adults of legal drinking age may consume alcohol responsibly. No glass bottles are permitted.
Firewood: Available as add on/extra when booking.
Parking: The gravel driveway leads into to a grass field which is our designated parking area for all guests. You must have 4wd to drive to your site. The sites are visible from the field and only about a 100 yard walk from the field.
Gate: Our entrance has a well-loved farm gate, and we are working on building a new one. Please close the gate behind you upon entering to help maintain privacy during your stay.
Footwear: While the riverfront is glass-free, we recommend wearing river shoes or sandals for safety.
Lifejackets are not required, please swim and float at your own risk.
Fishing is permitted; however, proper licensure is required. For the safety of all guests, fishing is not allowed in the beachfront area where guests swim and walk. Please walk upstream or downstream before casting.

Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

We are gladly sharing our 25 acres of land with two campsites and one vintage camper for others to enjoy. There are two remote camping areas with plenty of space between them for privacy. They both have access to a cleared field with plenty of space to relax and unwind. This is a beautiful place for stargazing away from the city lights. We are located in northeast Tennessee, near the Cumberland Gap where TN, KY, and VA meet. Our campsites sit on the Powell River, offering a peaceful retreat alongside one of the longest free flowing rivers in the eastern US! The Powell River is recognized as one of the most biologically diverse aquatic systems anywhere in the world.
We're conveniently located 2 miles off of highway 25E, making it a simple 13 minute drive to the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park Visitor Center and a 12 minute drive to the historic town of Cumberland Gap. Stay with us and choose between spending your day on the water or hiking the mountains!
We offer 2 individual campsites with access to a shared riverfront and outhouse.
Private Booking: If you are interested in reserving the entire property for a private experience or group-camp, please contact us for availability.
Water: There is no potable water on-site. We recommend bringing your own or we will be glad to leave you water if you select this as an add-on!
Pets: Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome. Please clean up after them.
Alcohol: Adults of legal drinking age may consume alcohol responsibly. No glass bottles are permitted.
Firewood: Available as add on/extra when booking.
Parking: The gravel driveway leads into to a grass field which is our designated parking area for all guests. You must have 4wd to drive to your site. The sites are visible from the field and only about a 100 yard walk from the field.
Gate: Our entrance has a well-loved farm gate, and we are working on building a new one. Please close the gate behind you upon entering to help maintain privacy during your stay.
Footwear: While the riverfront is glass-free, we recommend wearing river shoes or sandals for safety.
Lifejackets are not required, please swim and float at your own risk.
Fishing is permitted; however, proper licensure is required. For the safety of all guests, fishing is not allowed in the beachfront area where guests swim and walk. Please walk upstream or downstream before casting.

The spot was spacious and beautiful. Our kids spent the entire day playing in the creek.
We brought our own camp toilets so it was fine, but the portable toilet on site was full of maggots, so maybe avoid that if you're squeamish. Also, the site does collect water when it rains, so choose the spot for your tent carefully! Overall we had a really lovely time!

We’ve decided to stay another night due to some technical difficulties, and the managers of the property have been absolutely fantastic and more than helpful. Loved our stay with Andrew. The site is easy to get to (some winding roads but not bad), the setting is beautiful overlooking the river, and Andrew is a great host. We were there during a late Sept heat wave, so having full hookups meant we could run the AC for our little dog during the day, and the night time breezes were wonderful with the windows open. The sites are out in the open and close to each other, but we didn't mind at all. We would definitely recommend Andrew's sites!

This is literally a field at a quiet little horse farm, and it's exactly what I wanted. Its perfect if you like tent or truck camping. Its safe and secluded, no frills, close to town, and cheap. The bathroom and shower are built into the side of a shed and is mostly outdoors, but is still private and the water is hot. The shower stall could use a bit of cleaning but is serviceable. I will defiantly definitely return.

This was a perfect getaway for my husband and me. The property is beautiful and very private. Well other than some animal friends that live next door, which we just loved- horses and a mule. There is water at the site and an outhouse with everything you need. He even has firewood available. Maynard was great with communication and super friendly. We definitely want to try to come back again.

Ellis Cove offered us an amazing campsite! The campground is close to Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, but it is remote enough to offer peace, quiet, and a sky full of stars. The area is clean and well -maintained and right on n the river. We plan to return next year with friends.
