Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there.
This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

Incredible camping location. Hannah and Andy were so incredibly nice and the site was no different. We appreciated how large it was, how they had some kayaks for us to use, and even let us fish in their stock pond for some dinner. We honestly didn’t realize how badly we needed a place like this until we got here. From the moment we arrived, we were completely overwhelmed by how beautiful and peaceful the property was. The pictures truly don’t do it justice.
Being right on the river, surrounded by trees and mountains, listening to the water all day, sitting by the fire at night under the string lights, and waking up to that view was incredibly relaxing. We spent so much time just sitting outside, watching the river, letting our dog enjoy the property, and actually slowing down for once.
There’s something special about this place. It didn’t just feel like somewhere we rented for a few days; it felt like an escape from everything. We came here expecting a nice getaway and left realizing it was exactly the reset we didn’t know we needed.
If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, private, beautiful, and genuinely relaxing, this is it. We absolutely loved our stay and already miss sitting by that river. We would come back without hesitation. 5 stars, easily.

Great spot! Totally secluded. Loved seeing roosters and cows. Kim includes drinkable water, and fresh eggs are available for purchase. The site has a bathroom with a little sink, multiple tables, chairs and fire pit. A hiking trail right off of camp as well. Definitely recommend!

Hannah and her husband Andy were extremely accommodating to our requests and went above and beyond with providing firewood, river toys, and even fish food for their stocked pond. The site felt very private and the access to the river was amazing. I would love to stay at their Hip Camp again, and highly recommend to anyone in the area!

This campsite was everything we hoped for-one of the best we've stayed at in our many years of camping. It's private, beautiful, spacious.Just amazing! We and our pups had a blast playing in the cool creeks. Mark went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. In fact, we had to run out to the store when an unexpected storm popped up. We had left our tent top off and it was completely opened up. We rushed back to try and beat the rain only to find Mark already there putting the top on our tent. So thoughtful. The cute little Snack Shack was great for ice and snacks. And we enjoyed seeing all the animals on the farm, especially Braxton, the friendly donkey.

We loved this campsite so much! It’s a pretty spacious area with a 2nd water and electric hookup if needed (our friends rented it with us) and having direct access to the lake was incredible. We spent so much time swimming and even rented their pontoon for an afternoon, which was a blast.
The property is gorgeous, and the hosts (and their adorable dog!) were so welcoming and helpful. The site is pretty private and quiet, but gets full sun most of the day, so the boathouse was a great place to hang out and play games when it got too hot.
The lake was pretty low by Labor Day, so the water in front of the site was too muddy to swim, but it was just a quick walk down to their main dock where we swam all afternoon. We honestly would have camped longer if we could! We’re already looking forward to coming back in May when the water is higher. We loved it!

If you have feral children like us then this is a great place to go relax and unwind by the creek with a large area to do so without the worry of having other campers right beside you like most campgrounds.
Very nice and well kept we will definitely be back! Awesome place to splash around in the creek (watch for snakes it is a creek lol) ,with some nice trails at the site and Elrods falls/Clinch river close by as well.
Very easily accessible from the road with a little road noise but still quieter than a big packed campground.

It’s very beautiful here. Host was perfectly kind and flexible from afar with my needs/questions. I loved hearing the horses throughout the night even if they scared the crap out of me at first lol fire flies aplenty. the electric cars going by at night sound like UFO’s. Which I personally enjoyed. It is very chill here and absolutely perfect for an affordable drop by place to camp if you’re not looking to spend 40-50 bucks on a campsite elsewhere. I would say it also seems great for a longer stay but this is what I used it for.
