A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

Bird Fork Farm is a small regenerative farm located on 55 acres. Enjoy camping in one of the numerous spots in the beautiful pasture or pop into the woods to find the perfect hammock spot. It over 900 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. This property was purchased by my husband and I in 1980 from Margret Cetera mother of Peter Cetera lead singer of the band Chicago. When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines.The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. We only stayed one night at the tent but loved every minute! Grant called before we arrived to give us directions to the site so we would be prepared when we arrived in the dark. Everything was easy to find, just as he said. The trampoline was more comfortable than we expected! Bring extra towels in case of condensation. The area under the trampoline was perfect for food prep and hanging out. Above all, the waterfall was BEAUTIFUL! The short “hike” from the tent to the falls was easy for us and our German Shepherd to navigate. We had a wonderful time- can’t wait to return!

2 nights at Chattanooga Vintage RV Escape

My partner and I stayed just 2 nights but would have loved to stay longer! The camper was so charming and cozy! Devin is a wonderful host… including all the necessities and clear instructions on how to use everything. He responded quickly to my silly questions and made us feel very welcome. The RV park is small and quiet but very close to grocery stores and several cute shops. We had an amazing stay! I’d love to go back again!

Weekend Trip to The Shady Grove @CaveValleyGetaway!

We stayed at Jordan's property while seeing a concert at the caverns. This camping experience was really great! We arrived in the dark, but Jordan gave great instructions to find the sites in the back of the property and left lights on near the tent so we could see to set up our stuff. Despite rain all night, we were very comfortable and dry in the tent provided. We would stay again and would recommend this site to others!

We had such a relaxing time! The cabin was perfect for the 5 of us and it had all the amenities we needed. We loved the lights around the campsite, and the kids took over the loft area in the cabin! Amazing set-up!! Beautiful location and scenery. I stayed in the glamping tent and it was clean, comfortable, and safe. I went by myself with my dog and she loved having all the space to run around outside the tent. We also hiked down to the waterfall and a little further, and I know there were plenty of other trails nearby too. A perfect getaway! Grant and Becky were super helpful and very sweet! 10/10 recommend booking here.

What a value!!!!!!! 😍🤑 Dirk our host was very accommodating. We felt very safe and secure on site. We really appreciated all the communal amenities like the grill, hot tub, fire pit. Being able to bring pets with no additional al charge, also a big plus. Each teepee rental receives their OWN bathroom (away from the teepee) and each teepee has a mini fridge and air conditioning!! Dirk mentioned they might switch them out for heaters in the cold months. Also not mentioned in the listing, there is a stocked pond on site with small mouth and crappie. Special tip, the chilhowee recreation area can be reached in LESS than 20 min via Benton Springs road, which is a mildly adventurous, low speed gravel switchback mountain road. Any vehicle should be fine in dry conditions with minimal clearance. Excited to come back with friends and family!

We really enjoyed our time at Camp David! The Cumberland Plateau is a beautiful place and this property is a great home base for exploring—or just staying put and relaxing. It had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable while still "roughing it." It wasn't quite as private as we'd expected based on photos, but we enjoyed getting to know the hospitable hosts and really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend!
