You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. The trails were wonderful to walk on, definitely a stand out part of this stay. One of the owners was out for a long time working to lead blow them so they were easy to follow. Also, the fire pit with plenty of wood. And the friendly dogs. All of it was lovely.

Had a great time this weekend at the Corn Crib! This cute little cabin was a perfect getaway for me, my partner and my dog! Will definitely be back!

We added an additional canvas top to keep you completely dry and sheltered. This site is totally private among the rhododendrons and has a creek you can hear while sleeping.

1 night at Singletrack Shack

Christy’s place suited my needs perfectly, I was just looking for a place with basic amenities to get out the cold for one night before starting my backpacking trip. Two things I wanna mention though, if the temperature is dipping below 40°F make sure you have a warm enough sleeping bag or quilt because the little heater they have in there didn’t do much at that temperature, and secondly, I just had a 2 wheel drive truck and the driveway is very steep getting in and out and I was barely able to make it so just keep that in mind. But otherwise, it’s a beautiful place on a beautiful property and I would have loved to stay another night. Only took me about 15 minutes to get to Brevard for some dinner.

It was nice and private. You really feel safe on the property and the host are great. They provide a lot of things that you may need as well, such as cooking utensils. The trails on the property are a nice touch too.

1 night at Nero Coffee Camping Spot

My husband and I enjoyed the peace and sunshine at the A-frame! Directions getting there and to parking were easy, just noting that the road itself (last two minutes of driving) is a bit gnarly, but manageable (driving a RAV). And everything in the cabin felt secluded and sweet! We're grateful for the coffee and treat, as well as the noon checkout to fully enjoy the solitude of the surroundings. Would stay again!

A great place on the river. The bed was broken and not comfortable at all. It does not have a k cup just a regular coffee pot. Bring coffee filters and not k cups. There is 2 pieces of wood going on to the deck that was rotten and I almost fell through. We only seen one porta potty for about 15 sites.

Awesome spot near both Pisgah and DuPont trails. Everything was as advertised. Host was very easy to work with, and she had two lovely dogs! I was only stopping through, so I didn't get to test out the single track on the property. However, next time through I'm definitely going to stay here again!

My husband and I loved this whole camping experience! The tent is super spacious with a beautiful view of the creek. We'd wake up to the sound of happy ducks playing in the water too. I have back problems and was worried about the bed at first, but man! It was SO comfortable. I was even able to use the swing yoga rig at the pavilion to do some decompression for my back. Vicki was so kind and very communicative with any and all questions. I also loved all the little signs that give detailed instructions for any and every thing. 100/10 can't wait to go back!

My little family and I loved Christy’s lil Cabin in the mountains so cozy and warm even in late October, we enjoyed the fire pit and loved the proximity of the outhouse. My toddler was begging to go camping, and this was a perfect option for our first kid-friendly go at it. The ability to cook some warm meals on the stove was helpful, and not have to deal with a tent was very convenient. Mattresses on the bunks were comfy. Fantastic property and stay! The Sylvan Sport Go was ready when we arrived, in an excellent location next to the creek. The host, Beth, was responsive and made it a point to come by and meet the guests. Highly recommend!
