Camping here was a breeze. Beautiful shaded area to setup tent, quick 2-3min walk across grass to bathrooms/showers and laundry facilities. Quiet even though near a “main” road, we were almost the only ones, with only one other camper nearby but we didn’t hear each other. Would stay again if passing by!

This was the BEST place we have stayed in a long time! Bear Den Cabins and Camp was the friendliest, cleanest, comfortable rental. Tammy greats you upon arrival and gives a tour of the grounds, which includes the cleanest bathrooms and showers. A washer and dryer are available, and ice is available for campers to use. The cabins and tents are extremely comfortable. The beds are great! Two pavilions are available to grill in, or sit and talk to other campers if you choose. The only thing that I would change is that they move the camp to New York. But we will drive 1700 miles again to stay there. It’s so convenient to Custer State Park, Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Highway, Sylvan Lake. If you’re lucky, you might come up on some kids selling iced tea during your travels. We can’t say enough about Bear Den Cabins and Camp. You definitely would enjoy your stay.

The camp site is really nice and far enough away from everything that it’s not noisy but close enough to all attractions. I would recommend staying in the lower sites as upper sites are not as close to the fields. The restaurant next to it has great steak bites, beers and a friendly bar tender.

We had loads of space to explore, views to take in, and plenty of spots for our camp. We were the only ones on this part of the mountain, and we LOVED the solitude! I hope to return again. This place is officially my favorite hipcamp! When we arrived we were greeted and given a tour by Tammy, who obviously puts a lot of time and energy into caring for this place and her guests. She was around talking to us and the other campers and getting to know everyone individually. The bathrooms were super nice and clean, she provides ice, coffee and tea, a microwave, soap, and amazing tasting water! We spent most of our time in the covered picnic table area which was great for the heat! We would love to come back here when there isn’t a heat advisory going on someday!

We showed up just before quiet hours, and left early for our travels, so we didn't get to fully experience the Campground. However we liked the campground, the showers were cool, and the sites were nice.
