Fishing and Tent Camping on a beautiful privately owned naturally spring feed 2.5 Acre pond. Pond fully stocked with Catfish, Yellow Carp, Buffalo Carp, Bass, and Brim. We do allow eating size catfish under 5lbs to be taken from lake. Large catfish and all other types of fish are catch and release only. No fishing license required. Typically caught fish weigh in at 20lbs plus. Some catfish as large as 80lbs. Enjoy peacefully fishing all night with your friends and family on a lighted fully stocked pond. Each campsite has its own fire pit so you are welcome to bring firewood and enjoy cooking out or having smores by the fire.

Jen and Joe moved to the South Carolina Upstate in 2023 and discovered they were within minutes of the Foothills Trail. The trail is 76.2 miles of waterfalls, rivers, and mountains stretching from Oconee State Park to Table Rock State Park. As soon as the oldest child moved out of his room above the garage, we started hosting thru-hikers hostel-style. Fair warning: it’s an “open concept” bathroom, true studio style. Great for one person but could be awkward for two.

FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site.
Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog.
We also have a small orchard and a garden.
Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails.
As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives.
We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Though fairly close to our house, the campsite has a very private feel due to being completely surrounded by a hardwood forest.

Located on the grounds of the Duckpond Pottery, The Quack Shack is a secluded treehouse perched along the banks of the French Broad River. The structure is an 8x10 A-frame that transforms via a hinged wall into an open-air cabana with a charming deck that affords spectacular views of the French Broad River and surrounding countryside. The interior of the Quack Shack, with its vaulted 11-foot ceiling and earthen plaster walls, provides a warm glow in a rainforest environment. It is furnished with a comfortable seating area surrounding a coffee table that can be easily converted to a full-size queen bed at night. On the outside deck are beach chairs and a chimenea available for use. The quack shack has electric power (1 outlet only).
Amenities include a bathroom located a short walk away at the main building as well as an open-air on-demand shower located off the bathroom on a deck overlooking the French Broad River. This site is accessed via a short trail through the trees down a gentle, sloping hill, and finally by a short stairway, and as such it may not be easily accessible for campers with limited mobility.
Located on the grounds of the Duckpond Pottery, The Quack Shack is a secluded treehouse perched along the banks of the French Broad River. The structure is an 8x10 A-frame that transforms via a hinged wall into an open-air cabana with a charming deck that affords spectacular views of the French Broad River and surrounding countryside. The interior of the Quack Shack, with its vaulted 11-foot ceiling and earthen plaster walls, provides a warm glow in a rainforest environment. It is furnished with a comfortable seating area surrounding a coffee table that can be easily converted to a full-size queen bed at night. On the outside deck are beach chairs and a chimenea available for use. The quack shack has electric power (1 outlet only).
Amenities include a bathroom located a short walk away at the main building as well as an open-air on-demand shower located off the bathroom on a deck overlooking the French Broad River. Morning coffee and tea is available at The Tea Hut located just a hop, skip, and jump from the treehouse. A new two person wood fired hot tub and cold plunge is now located just off the steps of the treehouse. (Contact us if you’d like to reserve it during your stay. NOTE: The Duckpond Pottery is a working studio pottery and gallery that is open to the public. It is also home to occasional open-air house concerts on the deck at the pottery. We started the campground in 2016 after friends of the family pitched their tents down along the creek. They shared their enjoyment with us, and we realized how much we enjoyed knowing they were down there camping. We both have a great appreciation for God's creation and decided to open our gates to you. Lynn is a true Blue Ridge native and we both hope you enjoy the proximity to our towns, the mountains, rivers, streams, and waterfalls. The local apple orchards are also amazing! Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and rafting are only a few of the activities available within a short drive. A truly healing stay. I traveled from Charleston to Greenville to revisit some meaningful spots and say goodbye to old memories before moving. This campsite was not only affordable but felt incredibly safe which was important since my husband was on a work trip and I was camping with just my dog. I’m so thankful for this location, it was exactly what I needed. It was a camping experience but near the city.

Me and my fiance camped at the Mountain View and Hot-tub site on Clayton and Tiffany's land and we woke up to a winter wonderland! It was absolutely beautiful with stunning views. The bathhouse was very nice and a great addition! Both of them were very kind and helpful. The animals were adorable as well and one of the highlights of the entire trip!

Great spot not to far off route 25 but far enough you don’t hear the road. I personally Car camped and camp site 1 was perfect because you get your own parking area. Pup friendly! The host was super helpful with suggestions in the area. If you are traveling with a pup make sure to stop at the Carl Sandburg NPS site for a Bark ranger Badge! It’s less than 20 mins away and a great place to walk your pup! Would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the Flat Rock area!

The site was clean and spacious. With no leaves on the trees in the winter, we had a lovely view of the mountains and the sunset in the evening from the hot tub. The bath house was a short distance away and was heated, which was great after the hot tub. The stars at night were fantastic! The hosts were helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this spot!
