Lake Front Campsite !!!

We have a beautiful campsite with 300 feet of lake frontage, private waterfall and a beautiful dock. This spot has an electric hookup for your camper with a flat gravel pull through or back in pad. There are two picnic tables and a fire pit with a grilling top. Your spot is very private and you are can barely see the next place on the pond. The dirt road is great for walking and bike riding. If you want a place to relax and get back to nature, this is your place!!! We do provide a porta potty that is cleaned out once a week.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. The Season House, one of the two foreman homes, features additional guest accommodations while Doug resides in the other foreman house. Visit and experience a piece of PA history! We have luscious fields of sustainably produced vegetables, fruit and flowers. Explore the Delaware river from our boat launch or one of the great canoe rental companies. Hike Mt. Tammany, Ski Shawnee Mt, walk the Appalachian Trail, visit America's oldest jazz club in Delaware Water Gap or visit the dozens of water falls surrounding our farm for a swim. We have 3 camping locations which you can park near with your vehicle. They are all private camps and out of sight from others.

Oh! Pear Orchards

Within a half-hour of our campsites are the Merli-Sarnoski Park and the Lackawanna and Salt Springs State Parks--which offer hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Although our check-in process is generally to go straight to camp, if we're onsite, we do offer the option of a meet and greet. While we respect the privacy of our Hipcampers, we also love to meet our Guests and are very conversant if you choose to grab our ear! If you forget something and we're on-site, let us know--we might just be able to help!
For Holidays and Special Events (i.e., Harford Fair August 14-19)), we do require a 2-night minimum stay, there will be a cost of $20 for each additional Hipcamper and we operate under a SUPER STRICT Cancellation policy.
For non-Holiday/Special Event weekdays, we offer a 20% discount.
We limit to what we believe suitable the number of Hipcampers at each of our campsites. If, however, you are interested in adding to the limit, please feel free to contact us beforehand.

-HANNAH'S HAVEN:
This is our original campsite--which began our Oh! Pear camping legacy. The campsite is a short walk downhill from where you park (please refer to the short video provided, when booked, for more information) and it is remote. Rugged, majestic, and serene sites (4) are spatially set alongside the picturesque stream. Each site is outfitted with a Big Horn 47" Wood Burning Ranch Fire Pit (with grill grate), a picnic table and the potential for an outside adventure. Bounded on one side by an escarpment and on the other side a mountain, this campsite is irrevocably secluded--and has been voted the #1 Hipcamp site in PA and in the nation--as evidenced by the nearly perfect positive reviews from those adventurers who have stayed here.....and our many repeat Hipcampers.

I teach yoga and have a super cool loft space. A class can usually be arranged during your stay. Regular classes are held Monday evenings at 5:30pm and 7:00pm and Friday mornings at 5:45am for the early birds.

A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door.
The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool (summer only), a playground and picnic pavilion, and walking trails. There is a community dumpster.
Shopping, eateries, ice cream, pizza, a brewery-restaurant, groceries and laundry in Hawley are within a 7 minute (3 mile) drive. The Lake dam at sunset is popular. Walt’s Landing marina on Lake Wallenpaupack is within a 4 minute (1.5 mile) drive. The interior campground roads have speed bumps and an owner-enforced posted 5.5 mph speed limit.
A leashed pet and a supplemental tent for those in your party are allowed. There are evening quiet hours.
