It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you. The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes. You may see some wildlife throughout the property (including a milk snake that lives in the cabin wall, but is harmless). It is a quiet, rural, farming area. Once at the cabin there are only two to three houses within a half mile (through the woods), so you will have a private space all your own. Winter camping is special - cozy wood heated cabin, hundreds of acres for snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or snowmobiling. Plan ahead, we do not plow the driveway in winter; plan to shovel an off-road parking space, and transport your gear up to the cabin (1100'). Wood is provided. Onsite: water pump, 2-seat outhouse, wood stove, campfire ring, wood, & propane grill. Exclusive access for nature hikes, streams, forest, pond, swimming, bird watching, star gazing, etc. A wheelchair that can navigate grass and some ruts can enter the cabin, but not the outhouse, and the sleeping loft is up stairs (there is room for a cot or mattress on the first floor); the porch is accessible through the cabin. When you book, you are confirming your understanding of the following: there is no electricity, running water, or std. bed/mattresses. You bring own air mattress, bedding, and gear you will need. All-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. We welcome special events, family reunions, or weddings, if your plans do not require utilities (you may bring a generator or other battery operated items, as needed). Note for winter guests: We do not plow the driveway in winter, you need to be ready to shovel an off-road parking spot, and transport gear to cabin (e.g. by sled, snowshoes) Here's a brief list of the basics to bring: Light source: Lantern propane or battery. Air mattress or cot and whatever bedding you need. Paper products (cups, plates, utensils, toilet paper, etc.) Matches/fire starter (there is wood on-site, and a propane grill for cooking that has a self-starter). Bug spray. Cooler and ice. Lawn chairs. There are a few tables, several chairs and benches. There are 2 picnic tables (one outside and one inside). The benches can be moved outside if you'd like, just move them back inside before you leave. The propane grill should only be used outside. There is a hand axe in the cabin to shave kindling, and the wood is already split to be the length for the wood stove, as needed. Gas: 5 miles away. If you plan to grocery shop when you get to the area, the closest store is at East Hill Plaza in Ithaca, about 9 miles past where the cabin is (I can give you all that info if you like). There is lots to explore/see/do in the Ithaca area if you decide to come down off the hill one of the days. I'll have some brochures and things in the cabin, and can answer questions (aka where is the best ice cream, dinner, etc.).

We absolutely loved our stay here :) Marie was very kind and welcoming. The area was very cute and it was secluded from any other campers, and the bathroom/shower space was nearby. We were given plenty of wood / fire starting equipment, equipment for the grill, and the tent also had a fire extinguisher and bear horn which was really nice. The creek was also very cute and we had fun exploring it. Overall loved our trip and would definitely come back here :))

This is a great 'glamping' basecamp for all the area has to offer (which is a lot!) Off grid with a generator for power that is easy to use when needed. Gas stove available for cooking, microwave, toaster, and drip coffee machine. There is some water provided in 5 gallon jugs for washing and drinking. There is also a water cooler that was full providing fresh, cold water for drinking. For just the weekend this was more than enough for myself. Firewood can be provided for $10/bundle or purchased in town. It is illegal to bring wood from out of state due to infestation issues. The outhouse is clean for an outhouse. You could just relax at this site if you wanted listening to the birds and the creek with nearby mini waterfall. It's extremely peaceful. The cabin is close to the road but there are rarely cars. For waterfalls and amazing hikes, Treman State Park and Buttermilk Falls State Park are closer to the camp (15-20mins) and worth the $10 alone. If you go a little further to Watkins Glen State Park (35 mins) you won't be disappointed. Aaron is very responsive and easy to communicate with and has lots of recommendations. Definitely worth staying here, I'm looking forward to returning!

Weekend Trip to Starry Fields

We had such an amazing time at Wendy and Tommy's site! The tent is 10/10 stars, super roomy and cute, with a comfortable bed and a nice little covered porch for morning coffee or yoga. We were there in June with overnight temps in the 50s or so, and stayed plenty warm inside. And we were super impressed with the toilet, outdoor shower, and kitchen set up too — they have everything you need, down to coffee grounds and a french press. We didn't get a chance to make use of the fire pit, but maybe you will. Great location tucked away on a quick road with a meadow view and a creek running behind it, just a quick jaunt up the road to Ithaca or some fun state parks. Highly recommend, we had a fabulous weekend stay!

What an absolute gem! I had the most lovely, secluded getaway at The Dam House. The host truly thought of everything—having all the right cookware on hand made prepping dinner a breeze. My absolute favorite part? Waking up and sipping coffee right by the peaceful pond. I'm already counting down the days until I can stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Book it! I felt so peaceful and safe while I stayed at Wendy’s place. I can tell she put so much thought into every little detail. The tent was clean and very comfortable. The outdoor kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies and coffee. The hot shower was amazing and included soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels, and washcloths. Bundles of firewood were $5 and came with a bucket of kindling, fire starter, and a lighter. The creek was beautiful and the woods were full of fireflies! I really hope I can come back!

Weekend Trip to Daydreamin on Dyberry Creek

Very nice- it’s glamping meets regular primitive camping. This was perfect as a pride month and anniversary surprise for my girlfriend. She camps in tents bc “you (me) love camping and I love you” so this was a perfect meet in the middle. We loved being lazy in the crick on the raft and I especially loved bathing in the water and just being free in the buff! Quiet, close to stuff for food and drinks and perfect for a cute couple getaway. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if we’d taken our boys, Sunshine Daydream and Chance.

This was a fantastic experience! Starry Fields is in a lovely setting and I absolutely loved staying in the Crest tent. It was so comfy! The hot shower was amazing and capping the evening by the fire pit was perfect! The outdoor kitchen was also impressive. Much thought was put into this place! Only a short drive to Ithaca and all the area has to offer - gorgeous waterfalls, hiking, wineries- it’s a great place to visit! Would definitely come back and stay at this campsite! Two thumbs up!

This site is amazing! The creek right in front, the hammock, we brought a tube and floated and explored the creek, saw all kinds of animals, has 2 fire pits, a little wooden cooking station and the CLEANEST out house. Ryan is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! We literally can’t say enough nice things about him and we appreciated him being a fabulous host! If you want seclusion and a beautiful spot, this is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!
