Welcome to the Hillside Retreat, a thoughtfully curated glamping retreat tucked into the countryside of the Upper Delaware Valley at the foothills of the Catskills, near Callicoon, Hancock, Narrowsburg, Roscoe, Livingston Manor and Liberty. We are also just 26 miles from summer concerts at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Surrounded by rolling hills, forests and streams, your private tent site offers quiet, comfort and room to unwind. The Hillside Retreat is an ideal escape for nature lovers, with nearby opportunities for hiking, fishing in the Delaware River (license required), kayaking, tubing and wildlife watching. Eagles nest just across the road and after sunset the sky fills with stars while you relax beside the fire making s’mores before drifting off to sleep surrounded by the sounds of the forest. The Hillside Retreat centers around a thoughtfully curated 10’ x 12’ canvas tent perched above the Delaware Valley with sweeping views of the surrounding hills. Inside, you’ll find a queen bed with memory foam mattress and fleece cover, nightstands, a table and chair, a solar fan, a rechargeable camping lamp and solar string lights. Outside, enjoy Adirondack chairs, a hammock, a picnic table, fire pit with grill top, camp stove, cookware, utensils, tableware, seasonings, bug spray, potable mountain water, a private hot and cold on-demand shower and a private loo. The tent comfortably accommodates two adults and can hold up to four guests. Glamping cots for children or additional adults are available for rental. We also offer optional bed linen rentals (no pets), rental Yeti coolers with ice blocks and farm fresh eggs for purchase. Complimentary firewood is provided. Our property is cigarette-free. Whether you’re seeking a quiet escape or an outdoor adventure, the Hillside Retreat offers a peaceful place to slow down, breathe deeply and enjoy the beauty of the Upper Delaware Valley countryside.

Apple orchard mornings, firelit evenings and stars that actually show up. Your 10’ × 12’ canvas tent sits along the gentle slope of our apple orchard and pairs the simplicity of camping with thoughtfully curated comforts. Inside is a queen-size memory foam bed with linens and pillows, solar lighting and a solar fan. Bath towels, Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, filtered mountain water, two-burner stove, cookware, cutlery, plates and drinkware are provided. Complimentary firewood is included for evenings around the fire pit. Autumn stays are especially lovely here. Crisp Catskills evenings are part of the experience, and a heater inside the tent adds warmth and comfort after sunset. The Hillside Retreat is a private glamping site with wide southwestern views over the Delaware Valley, set on our 46-acre, solar-powered homestead in the foothills of New York’s Catskills. Once a dairy and vegetable farm, the property now offers walking trails, a pond, fruit trees and native plantings, with plenty of space to slow down. A private bathhouse, hewn and built on-site from locally felled hemlock, features a hot-and-cold outdoor shower and clean, well-kept camp loo. Guests traveling with pets are very welcome; however, linens, pillows, blankets and towels are not provided when a pet accompanies your stay. Please bring your own bedding and towels. Spend your days hiking our trails or exploring the nearby Delaware River by kayak, canoe, tube or fishing boat. Wildlife is part of everyday life here, including bald eagles nesting just across the road. We’re located in Long Eddy, Delaware County, about 26 miles from Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Nearby towns offer farmers markets, independent shops, restaurants and galleries. Our homestead is also home to organically fed chickens, quail, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowl and one resident goose. Fresh eggs are often available. The Hillside Retreat is best suited to guests who enjoy off-grid camping with thoughtfully chosen comforts and who respect the land and our host guidelines. Tucked where woodland meets meadow, The Woodland Retreat offers a private, secluded glamping experience on our solar-powered homestead in the foothills of New York’s Catskills. Surrounded by spruce, birch and maple, it’s a peaceful place to disconnect from the everyday and reconnect with nature. Mornings begin with birdsong, afternoons invite a walk along our trails or a quiet hour in the hammock and evenings end beside the fire beneath some of the region’s darkest skies. Here, the pace is slower, the air feels cleaner and the night belongs to the stars. Our spacious canvas tent pairs the simplicity of camping with thoughtfully curated comforts, including a queen-size memory foam bed with linens and pillows, bath towels, solar lighting, a solar fan, Bluetooth speaker, Adirondack chairs, picnic table and filtered mountain water. A private hot-and-cold outdoor shower, camp loo, two-burner stove, cookware, cutlery, plates and drinkware are provided, along with complimentary firewood. After a day of leaf-peeping or exploring the Catskills, settle into your cozy tent. A propane heater inside adds an extra layer of comfort on crisp autumn nights, letting you linger a little longer in the quiet of the season. The Woodland Retreat

What an unforgettable stay at the Hillside Retreat on Three Barn Farm! From the warm welcome to the incredibly helpful host guide, every detail was spot on. The views and accommodations completely blew us away—the only downside was having to check out! We booked this trip to pick up our kid from summer camp nearby, but we loved it so much that we're already planning a much longer stay for next summer.

The Hillside Retreat

100/10 would recommend. The hillside retreat was private, fully stocked with everything one needs to have a relaxing worry free and comfortable stay. They even left dog treats for our pup! Additionally, we had the privilege of camping during a tornado warning. Lydia and Robert allowed us to wait it out in a secure location, as we were rather frightened. We arrived back to the site to see everything was fully in tact even among intense winds that toppled trees in neighboring properties. A testament to the stability and security of their tent, platform, and other amenities. The space is also fully manicured, not a single branch on the ground even after the winds! Wonderful weekend, filled with excitement, kindness, and generosity all around.

The Hillside Retreat

Lydia had everything set up and ready to go for us. There were so many little amenities that we weren’t even expecting, like setting out doggie bags and even treats for our dog, a citronella candle, all the dishes clean and set out, a wagon to carry our stuff up the hill. View was breathtaking, It was just amazing and I would love to stay again!

The Hillside Retreat is absolutely fantastic! We loved the view of the mountains from the tent, but we loved the view of the stars even more. Lydia and Robert were very welcoming and were kind enough to bring us another fire starter when we struggled to light the campfire. It was very peaceful, and we got the best night's sleep we'd had in ages. Waking up to the rooster crowing was a nice treat! Absolutely wonderful stay, I hope we get to stay here again!

Had a great stay at the Birch Meadow Retreat! It was private, quiet, and comfortable. It had everything I needed. Lots of fire wood, space for my dog to run off-leash, a camp stove and things for cooking. The tent was cute and comfortable. Thanks for having me!

I can confidently say this place is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and at ease. The retreat is just a quick 2-minute walk from the car, making it super convenient yet wonderfully secluded, offering the perfect blend of accessibility and privacy. The star gazing at night was nothing short of spectacular—we spent hours marveling at the clear, vibrant sky and even captured some amazing photos that we'll cherish forever. The retreat was well-stocked with plenty of firewood, keeping us cozy and warm, and the thoughtful touch of fresh filtered water made our stay even more comfortable. Everything about Hillside Retreat was perfect—a true haven for relaxation and connection with nature. We can’t wait to return to this incredible spot! Highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful, unforgettable getaway.

The Hillside Retreat

We had a great time camping at Lydia and Robert’s Hillside Retreat! The spot was isolated with a beautiful view and is great for stargazing if the weather cooperates, which it did. It was very scenic and a great spot to bring your dog for off-leash playing. They provided all the necessary supplies and more, such as cooking supplies, tent and bed, we just had to bring our own linens. The site overlooked a meadow and was easy to get to, just be aware you have to walk up a hill to get there, and Lydia and Robert offered their help to carry our things. It’s a great spot for romantic getaways, so much so that my fiancé proposed to me while we were there!! We will be back!

The campsite is located up on a steep hill and it was so hard to carry our belongings. They don’t even provide the linens, you have to rent it for $35. It’s a quiet place and the view is nice.
