The Beaver Lodge is a single-site glamping retreat tucked in the woods just outside Honesdale, PA. The site features two ponds and roughly five acres of quiet forest. In October, the surrounding hardwoods turn, and you’ll have a front-row seat to peak Wayne County foliage from your Adirondack chair or the waterside fire circle. Our site sits beside Spinner Pond. You’ll arrive by a short wooded walk (about 3 minutes), or catch a ride in on the UTV — we’re happy to shuttle guests and gear. At the waterfront, there’s a fire circle, Adirondack chairs, and multiple watercraft: canoe, kayaks, and a rowboat, all with paddles and life jackets. Fishing is excellent in both ponds — bass, pickerel, crappie, and panfish are active throughout the season. Wildlife watching from the pond edge is excellent: bald eagles, osprey, beavers at work, deer, ducks, and turtles are regular visitors. On a clear night, the sky above the pond is as dark as it gets this close to the Poconos. Inside the canvas bell tent you’ll find a real queen-size bed made up with sheets, pillows, and blankets, LED camp lighting, and a footlocker stocked with cooking essentials: cast iron skillet, pot, utensils, and dinnerware. The site includes a two-burner propane stove with fuel, picnic table, and a fire pit. Potable water, a composting toilet, and a gravity-fed outdoor shower are all on-site. Optional extras include a propane Buddy Heater, two additional cots, and firewood bundles. The camp is tucked behind our home, so you’ll feel completely private — no other structures in view. We’re nearby if you need anything, and we mean that. Past guests have called this the best campsite they’ve ever stayed at. We aim to keep it that way and ask you to practice Leave No Trace to help. Lovely. Located on beautiful grounds. Perfect camping cabin. FYI, there are no provisions. No coffee, no sugar, no paper towels, etc. You have to bring everything in. Like a campground basically.This is not a complaint- but important to know. Plan ahead. It’s a wonderful cabin with a great, “vibe” Clean and very comfortable- cozy! Host is communicative and gracious.

4 nights at Cat's Camp

Hands down the best camping setup and the best host we’ve ever encountered! As frequent campers, our group is used to roughing it and doing without, but Cat’s Camp blew every expectation out of the water. It was everything we hoped for and more for a 5 day/4 night Labor Day Camping Trip. Vincent is a top-tier host; stand-up guy, helpful, and exceptionally communicative. He answered every question via the app in under 30 minutes. When we asked about firewood beforehand, he arranged to have a half-cord delivered directly to the site before we arrived so we could immediately dive into the campfire vibe. To top it off, he brought in an extra porta-potty to comfortably accommodate our group of 12. And trust me, we put that Porto through the wringer! (See kitchen review below). Standout Highlights: The Kitchen - The lean-to has a fully STOCKED kitchen that we put through SERIOUS work. We cooked up everything from scratch - gumbo, pumpkin chili, tacos, breakfast burritos, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, fire-smoked eggplant, hanger steak, Italian hoagies, and grilled cheese. It handled it all effortlessly. The Bathhouse - LEGENDARY. The ingenious, homemade setup with a keg mounted over a propane burner for hot showers is pure genius. The Atmosphere - Incredible elevated views from the top of the site paired with the soothing sound of the babbling brook made the whole trip. Vincent is officially the gold standard for hosts. We can’t wait to come back!

I took my 6yr old with me this time and he had a blast riding his bike all over the paths. It's all close proximity to the cabin I felt comfortable with him going alone. He enjoyed the hammock and swing. The cabin, area, outdoor shower and sink were very clean. Porta potty was spotless and smelled fresh.

Weekend Trip to Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Perfect Family Getaway We had the BEST stay at this rustic cabin on the lake. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax, and spend quality time together in a beautiful setting. The sunset over the lake was picturesque and serene. The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The cabin fit my family of 4 and 2 dogs easily with space to move around. Our kids especially enjoyed spending time on the water, and we are very grateful to our generous hosts for allowing us to use the boats and kayaks. Paddling around the lake and exploring together created memories our family will cherish for years to come. Our only regret is that we wished we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend this cabin to families looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway. ❤️🌲🛶🌊

We loved the Cubby! Cozy little cabin with a comfy bed. Great private deck that feels like being in a tree house - perfect spot for enjoying morning coffee and the sound of Elk Creek. Not fancy but well equipped. Russ, who manages the campground, was friendly and helpful. Great location near World's End state park. We will be back.

Weekend Trip to Elk Creek Escape/Sawmill Woodzie

This was a quiet spot tucked away from the road & other campers plus it is near woods. Perfect place to mimic camping without the tent! Comfortable beds, an indoor gas stove to heat water & firewood provided. Was clean and Russ, the Manager was very helpful. Remember, no telephone or wi-fi service in the area so get very specific directions to the camp office! It's not well marked from the main roads.

2 nights at Canvas Private Glamping Yurt

Honestly, we absolutely loved this place! It was so beautiful and the perfect place to connect with nature. I loved how every little corner had something special that reminded us to slow down and enjoy every moment. Everything was so clean, and we were extremely satisfied with our stay. The farm was incredible too—I especially loved the chocolate milk, it was AMAZING! 😂🥛 We’ll definitely be back! 🤎🌿

Weekend Trip to Mountainside Waterfall Retreat

The campsite was really nice. We had the one that was further up the mountain which I believe is site number one. Adam and his wife were very nice hosts and hooked us up with everything we needed. The waterfalls will be lighter than normal in some seasons, but still a nice asset to the campsite. Be prepared to bring your stuff up to the campsite as it is a little bit of a walk but if Adam is available is happy to help bring your stuff up would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Daydreamin on Dyberry Creek

The campsite was amazing, I stayed there for 2 nights and enjoyed every second there. The water in the creek was cold but we were still able to go for a quick swim. We were a group of 7 and everyone had a great time even with the rain. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a private get away.

The cabin has an energy about it that feels cozy, comfy, protective and magical - sitting there nestled into the the woods. The property - with a trail to a creek full of waterfalls, swim holes and much else to explore - is perfect! No need to leave to find things to do!

Weekend Trip to The Dam House At Beaver Pond

Amazing spot with super responsive and helpful host. Brendan was great. And his camping spot is perfect. Between two beaver ponds with various types of fish and wildlife. Comfy bed, awesome amenities, and plenty of watercraft for fishing and exploring. We'll be back! Amazing weekend trip.

4 nights at Pocono Cabin With No Name

Such a great place! The cabin is bigger inside than we expected. Beds and even the sofa were comfortable. Loft is super low but was fun for the kids. Theres plenty of inside games to try but bring your own outside games. Kitchen had pretty much everything. Fire pit was great and having local dry wood to use was definitely key. Creek walk was super fun, we went every day it wasnt raining. Spent one day at Lake Tobyhanna nearby. Feels like youre in the woods but Aldi is 10 minutes away. We would absolutely come back. Saw 2 fox, 1 salamander, many slugs, butterflies and caterpillars. Wish we could take the fresh air home :)
