Welcome, to Black Locust Hops Farm Brewery! We are a small, commercial hops farm (the largest in MD) and brewery located on 24 acres in Northern Baltimore County, just minutes from the North Central Railway hiking and biking trail and Gunpowder Falls State Park.
We have our own, small, private hiking trail that leads down to our wetlands area (and beaver pond). The best time of year to view our hops (and join a farm tour) is between mid- June and mid- August. The best time of year to enjoy our beverages is ANY TIME!
Our taproom is open Thursday- Sunday all year, with live music Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. We have 16 taps of craft beer grown and brewed onsite and always a good array of hard, non- beer beverages, like our famous hard limeade! By law, only alcohol made by us may be carried/ consumed on our property.
We are a working farm and do not allow pets on our property.
Close attractions include the Gunpowder River, Prettyboy Reservoir and Prettyboy Dam, The Markets at Shrewsbury, and the Northern Central Railway, scenic railroad.

Welcome to creek-side camping on our picturesque 16 acre farm! Here are a few ground rules to help with your stay -PLEASE READ SO NONE OF THIS IS A SURPRISE-:
-Dogs are permitted if they are friendly and are trained well enough to listen and stay at your site. Again, they must stay at your site unless walking with you on a leash. If your dog inflicts damage to the sites (digging holes, chewing up piles of sticks, chewing up toys to bits etc. please clean up after your dogs. We will provide shovels, rakes if you need!)
- OVERLANDERS: You can bring your overland camper if you want, but you must park your vehicle in the parking spot across from your site at sites 1-3. It is a safety issue to block the entryway/exit lane. Site 4 is large enough to accommodate your vehicle and these rules do not apply there.
-This is a place for relaxation and reflection by the creek. No loud groups, or partying allowed. If your neighbor can hear your music it is too loud. If your host can hear it, you will be asked to turn it down or off all together.
-This is a pack it in, pack it out site. This includes food waste, dog waste, and any garbage produced. Please respect that :) DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BURN ANY WASTE IN THE FIRE RING BEFORE CHECKING OUT. DO NOT THROW FOOD SCRAPS IN THE CREEK!
-There is NO FISHING, kayaking or boating. Go for a swim and float, no prob! But please float in the vicinity of your camp, so as not to disturb other campers.
- Please do not invite visitors to your campsite. This is an insurance issue, no exceptions. If you want friends and family to experience our beautiful spot, please have them sign up and book a site, wouldn't that be more fun anyway!? People coming to our land who are not booked at a site will immediately be shown off the property.
-Due to virtually every booking asking for earlier arrival and later departure times, we are strictly adhering to the posted check in and check out times.
You can enjoy the following on our sites:
- Free, unlimited wood for your campfires. Each site comes with a fire ring.
- Seating arrangements (picnic table, wrought iron loungers and chairs and wood benches).

Secluded River View is a flat grassy space on the banks of the Conestoga River ideal for tent camping. Guests will enjoy 0.4 acre of grass to themselves surrounded by a creek, river and woods.
The site includes a fire ring, picnic table, hammock overlooking the river and swing for kids. A natural sandbar in the river provides a fun place for children to play, and explore (and throw rocks into the river as every kid seems to love to do). The river is normally slow enough to paddleboard, canoe, or kayak. Tubing is popular and there are several places that you can drive to and access upstream and float back to your campsite. Common fish species for fishing include bass, catfish and carp. It’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature!
Firewood is available at the campsite for $5 per bundle.

Note:
For the winter months we are closed, we reopen in march. The furthest we are open at any given moment is about six months. We close when hunting season comes in during the fall.
Description of camp:
This is not a glampsite! There are limited utilities here. No Drinking water, just water for the fire. There is a self serve firewood store, you may also forage dead wood. Here only one group may camp at a time. The campsite is a big level hilltop clearing surrounded by acres of woods. There is stone driveway that leads to the site that gets you back into the woods. The driveway is wide enough for trucks, trailers, vans, etc. Since the site is up high it gets a great breeze which helps on warm days and gets good cell service.
The campsite gets great sun and has shaded areas along the sides that make for good tent pitching. We have had people set up hammocks, tents, tarps, or camp in their vehicle. We provide a privy (outhouse), an outdoor showerroom/changing room, picnic tables, and a metal fire pit with grill rack that you can put in the fire pit if you wish to cook/grill over it.
The woods are hilly so biking is not recomended. On the property we have 2+ miles of hiking trails. PLEASE feel free to contact us for any questions. Also please look at our pictures for a better idea of what we offer.
Nearby Activities: A short drive from here will take you to Gettysburg, York, or Hanover. Codorus park offers great hiking and is next to a lake. There are many excellent restaurants and brewpubs nearby, including the award winning Warehouse Gourmet Bistro and Brewpub. For more information read our activities section to find out what other things we provide or have nearby that you can do.
Pricing:
We have a weeknight discount for the site which is 29 dollars (Sunday-Thurdsay nights). Friday night and Saturday night we charge 35 dollars. Any additional guests after five we charge 9.50 dollars per person. We allow up to 10 guests total.
Rules:
Extinguish camp fires that are unattended and to only make them in the designated fire pit, no noise past 9 o'clock, discharging of firearms and fireworks are prohibited, do not bring firewood (to prevent invasive bug spread), keep your pets attended/on a leash, clean up after your pets, no cutting down trees

Enjoy 8 beautiful, secluded acres on the Conewago Creek at Bald Hill, Northern York Co. My homestead was once part of the Conewago Turf Farm. It borders the creek a length of 1100 feet, mostly maintained with easy access. Camp is at the base of a steep section of the Conewago Mountains, creating privacy and protection from wind and afternoon sun. This is not a whole house rental. I have a one bedroom, queen size bed, kitchenette, private restroom and outdoor shower with on demand hot water. There's plenty of room for tent or van camping. Please see pictures for detail. I live in the house above the glamping quarters.
Plenty of good fishing and paddling here. I offer shuttle service for 1 or 2 day float trips, paddle in one day, paddle out the next day. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and PFD's are included in the price of your stay.
The Conewago is very beginner paddling but remote, very clean and full of wildlife. Gifford Pinchot State Park is 7 miles away. I have two paddle boards if you want to paddle the 3 mile lake. This adventure would require a short hike out to a parking area.
Relax in a wood fired Norwegian sauna and cook in a Peruvian wood fired earth oven or cook under the stars over an open fire. Firewood is also included. Foodies will rejoice here.
I live and work here, part time blacksmith and wood worker. I'll assist you in any way or do my best to stay out of your way.

Welcome to our fifth generation, mini-valley, woodland, and rolling hills. Empty Cupboard Farm has been family owned since 1918. It is presently planted in soy and corn.

Woodland trails are accessible and new tree plantings can be observed.

Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.

If you want an amazing memorable experience close to home literally 30 40 minutes tops! You have to come here! When I say this renewed my soul I mean it with all of me! The beautiful land and I can’t say enough about the absolutely beautiful people Gini and her husband Kelly are. When they say they have everything just bring yourself and food they mean it! I had such a wonderful time I extended my stay and skipped the third spot I was going to go too. Every part of being here was everything! I didn’t want to go home! Lol this place is a must!!!!

The camping spot was lovely under a big trees spread out and great for birding. The sites are pretty close together, if you have neighbors you will see them. Ours were great and respectful. Bill the host was super kind and helpful. He offered us to walk in the property, which had field, meadow, forest and a pond. Super quiet out there, along side a road with very minimal cars on it. We paid for wood and there was SO much for the campfire. Port a pot clean.
We had a great night and fire, but a rainy next day- so we went to New Oxford town and super enjoyed wandering so many unique antique shops and the coffee shop Deja Brew had SO many gluten free pastries/ desserts. We had a great experience at Ponderosa and also enjoyed the quaint town like 10 min away as we got out of the rain.

I was able to tent camp overnight with my dog. Mary was very helpful and the location is so pretty and relaxing. It was easy to find a level area for the tent. I cut my trip short due to weather but even with all the rain the ground stayed “dry”. I hope to go back soon to enjoy more of the area.

We loved this campsite!!! Scott’s directions were very helpful on how to get there and where to park (especially as someone with parking anxiety lol). This spot was the perfect size for my partner and I, and even with all the rain this weekend, we had a lovely time. The platform overlooking the creek was gorgeous and the firewood and umbrella at the picnic table were SUPER appreciated! We would love to come back 💛

Excellent site! Owner checked on us to see if we needed anything which was awesome. He even dropped off a dozen warm glazed donuts! Clean site. Looking forward to staying here again next time we visit Gettysburg.

Beautiful as always. This is our fourth time and its always clean and very well maintained. Ben is a great host !! Had a great time camping with our neighbors and enjoyed the trails. Loved seeing the farm dogs - Hopper and Rosie ❤️

We loved staying at Romeo Acres and would stay again! It is very peaceful and private. As pictured. We only had time for a single night away, but our dog loved a romp in the cow pasture and we had space to play Frisbee, cook over the fire, set up a hammock, and the tent pad was more than enough space for our large tent! 😊

I had an amazing stay at Fiddlers Green Farm. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, with beautiful open land and a true countryside feel. It’s the perfect place to unwind, relax, and enjoy nature away from the noise of the city.
The campsites are clean, spacious, and well-kept, with plenty of room to feel comfortable and private. Everything felt well organized, and the surroundings made the whole experience even better—especially during sunrise and sunset, which were absolutely stunning.
One of the best parts was how quiet and safe the area felt. It’s great for families, friends, or even solo campers looking for a calm getaway. The farm adds a unique charm that makes this spot stand out from typical campgrounds.
Overall, I highly recommend Fiddlers Green Farm to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable camping experience. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

This site is wonderful, we’re already planning our next visit. The site sits at the end of a long, gated driveway past David’s home. It was secluded, with an open, fenced field for our toddler to run freely in. The toilet was clean and stocked with toilet paper and the site sat on mulch, which helped for a smooth sleeping surface. There’s also cold, clean well water available closer to David’s garage. You’ll hear their shop running, but it wasn’t disruptive. David and his family were very kind and accommodating.

I had such a great experience staying at this campsite. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for, which made the whole stay feel really comfortable and relaxing. One of my favorite parts was the small dock/platform! It was so cute and added a really peaceful touch to the setting.
My cousin and I stayed here together, and we both genuinely enjoyed ourselves. It was the perfect spot to unwind and spend some quality time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to stay!

A quaint and charming little site with a variety of farm animals to gawk at. The owner was friendly and touched base with us as we arrived which was nice. Everything listed as an amenity was made available as described. We had pets and the landowners dog was off-leash and met ours, there was no incident but the owner should be a little more careful. Luckily our dogs are as friendly as theirs was. We enjoyed our time and would come back! 10/10!
