The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable. Only friendly dogs allowed and leashed or under voice command.

Glenada was incorporated in 1912 and disincorporated in 1922 after the town's sawmills burned. This side of the river was pretty bustling before the Siuslaw bridge was built in 1936, being quite a transformative event considering the ferry from Glenada to Florence was the main way across the river. River View is located up on Glenada mountain, on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood bundles and farm-fresh eggs available for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you have your own porta-potty set up. This is a beautiful rustic property close enough to Hwy 101 to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! Learn more about this land: River View is located on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere. We have 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land just below the campsite. We offer firewood bundles and farm-fresh chicken eggs for an additional fee. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you have your own porta-potty set up. This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway but once at the top, it is flat and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red tail hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). Walk down to Old Town for dinner or bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Pricket state park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by! No bathroom or running water but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available.

We've recently finished building a barn workshop, a covered timber frame deck in the meadow, and a very unique woven tree net that you'll be sure to enjoy! No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote. Fern Ridge Lake is 10 minutes down the road for walking trails, boating and paddling, plenty of other outdoor activities nearby. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.

This breathtaking Rivers Edge Getaway overlooks the beautiful Umpqua River, providing a special and private little getaway the whole family (including your pets) can enjoy! This location is a honey hole for fishing Smallmouth Bass, Catfish, and seasonal Steelhead, and Salmon. You can also enjoy a majestic swimming hole with a little sandy beach at low tide providing a peaceful and private feeling for swimming, tubing and all around fun water activities (Bring your swimsuits, kayaks, paddle boards, water toys, and floaties! We do have some water toys available as well!). If you can pull yourself away, it's just a quick drive to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean, Winchester Bay dunes, Loon Lake, Dean Creek Elk Viewing wildlife recreational area, and so much more. If you’re an avid hiker, in just 30 minutes, you can be at the John Dellenback Dunes Trailhead for some great hiking. If you’re looking for biking trails, not only are the Dunes a great place to start, but you can also ride in the William M Tugman State Park. You can restock for supplies in Reedsport, and just a couple miles down the road visit Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, which is basically a stone's throw away from the beautiful Pacific Ocean! Scenic HWY 101 also provides great views for a relaxing drive as well. Please know, due to the adjacent highway there is some traffic noise. There is also construction noise going on during the week just down the road on the Scottsburg Bridge.

Your campsite is 10 private acres surrounded by the rest of our 200 acres. You are welcome to hike, bike, forage, and enjoy the whole 200 acre forest. Your 10 acre campsite is private for you and your guests. So let your pets off the leash, laugh, play music, have fun! Your site comes with a propane bbq grill, fire pit, patio set, table and chairs, and check out our electric tube and boat rental list. There is plenty of flat, open area to maneuver several RVs and place tents. It is open and grassy. Our driveway is quite long to get you into peacefully privacy. Our driveway is part gravel and partly dirt that we grade as needed. RVs, tents, boats, bicycles, horses and pets welcome. We have a small horse corral if requested. We have many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. For large events some extra arrangements may be possible, just ask. We look forward to sharing our piece of our heaven with you. Glenada was incorporated in 1912 and disincorporated in 1922 after the town's sawmills burned. This side of the river was pretty bustling before the Siuslaw bridge was built in 1936, being quite a transformative event considering the ferry from Glenada to Florence was the main way across the river. River View is located up on Glenada mountain, on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood bundles and farm-fresh eggs available for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you have your own porta-potty set up. This is a beautiful rustic property close enough to Hwy 101 to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! Learn more about this land: River View is located on the upper level of our three-acre lot. We have a free-range farm atmosphere. We have 2 children, 2 large dogs, a cat, and 12 chickens. This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway but once at the top, it is flat and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red tail hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). Walk down to Old Town for dinner or bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Pricket state park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by! No bathroom or running water but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available.

Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable. Only friendly dogs allowed and leashed or under voice command.

11 Mile River Camp

Welcome to the river! This beautiful 10 acre property is located on the scenic main Umpqua River. Enjoy excellent, year-round fishing, kayaking, and swimming right from your private and secluded campsite. Our property is located between 2 boat ramps which makes kayak, canoe, or raft floats a breeze. The property features beautiful, mature trees, fun bedrock to explore, and an amazing swimming hole (in the summertime when the river level is low enough). Sit at the river’s edge and enjoy the sounds of the water. Be sure to watch for soaring Eagles, jumping fish, and the occasional mink on the opposite river's edge! There are multiple wineries nearby and lots of hiking trails within a short drive. There is no cell service at the property - please plan ahead and check local burn ban policies before you go. The "owners area" camping spot is a large, graveled, gated area that has trees between the road and parking. There is a port-a-potty for use in the summer months. There is also a fire pit on the lower level overlooking the river, a hidden tree swing, and deck with picnic table. The "site 1" camping spot has a driveway that is hard-packed grass and is not gated. There is a small fire pit on the path by the river. There are areas under the trees both up top near the road and down near the path that are suitable for tents. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a fully manicured campground. There are bushes and grasses that grow year round. We do our best to keep things trimmed and accessible. Sometimes (especially in the spring) things grow more quickly than we can get to them. Please don't expect this to be a perfectly mowed, backyard-type site.
