Campsite is on a second driveway to the front of the house on a wooded, half-acre lot in a quiet neighborhood in Southwest Bend. House lots are big and the area provides nice cool morning walks. There is a curb at the start of the driveway but aids will be provided if necessary. Electrical (110x2; 50A with converter to 30A), water, and sewer hookups are available! The sewer hookup may not work if your drain is underneath your vehicle and low to the ground. There is a fenced in yard that may be used if your dog(s) get along with mine and you help with poop patrol. You will need to check the fence line to confirm that your dogs cannot get out, as I am not responsible if they escape. A large part of my yard is rewilding, so you will see tall grasses and increasing varieties of flowers over the years. A hot tub may be available by appointment. House is enhanced by the use of focused life force energy (FLFE.net), so enjoy relaxing in the higher vibes. There is one cat to rule us all and she may grace you with her presence if you welcome her. And a border collie to guard anyone she deems as part of her "flock." Site is located an easily walkable ½ mile from a shopping center with grocery (just closed but hoping for another to take its place), vet, Mexican and Asian-fusion restaurants, and a wine bar with occasional entertainment. Beyond that, is a park with a climb to a tall hill with a lovely 360 overlook view of the surrounding mountains. There is access to the river and river trail about ¾ mile walk away - this trail can take you all the way to Farewell Park and the Old Mill shopping area. And a bus stop is around the corner, just about a house length away. This is a great base location for all your adventures in Bend and surrounding areas, and a quiet place in which to relax afterwards. 2 nights at Bend Canal Mini-Farm

Easy to find. The view of the canal is amazing! If you pull in nose first, you'll have a better view out the side door of your rig, and a bit more privacy. You are parked right near a road that is only busy at rush hour times, it seems like. The road noise wasn't too bad. Michelle's property is beautiful. Michele herself is a very lovely person to talk to. We met 2 of her children as well. Very nice kids. If you have your pup along, go to Pine Nursery Park. It's not far away and their dog park is awesome.

Great space in town. There are houses around on large properties and the RV space is right on the road. The road was busy at times but not bad, and still felt private. We were working all weekend so we didn’t hang out much. Perfect to come back to rest! Thank you and we will consider it next time we’re in town.

Good spot to overnight if, like me, you arrive in Bend tired and ready for downtime & sleep! The river frontage is lovely. Connor was welcoming, much appreciated! The spot is located right by a lovely (rather busy) neighborhood road, just a note for those wanting any kind of privacy. Beautiful home, nice yard share. Thanks much!

Weekend Trip to Tom's Rest Canyon Retreat Center

My dog, Panzer, and I had a great stay here! We had originally booked site 4, but due to a no-show Cheryl said we could set-up in site 5, which gave us a ton of room to spread out that I didn't expect. It can be dusty, but I'm used to that in Central Oregon - having the gravel road cuts down on the dust quite a bit too (personally, I packed up my tent in the gravel). I was surprised by the complete lack of bugs, which was a great highlight. And I loved how close the restroom was - even being in the furthest camping spot, it's maybe a 2-minute walk. Once we got the lay of the land, the best part was being able to let Panzer run off-leash - he had a grand ol' time traversing the terrain. It was nice that Cheryl kept checking in on us as well - very personable and a great conversationalist.

What a beautiful property! All the sites were really spread out and we had so much space to ourselves. Overall, it was very quiet and peaceful. We loved spending time at the river and the shared beach area and there were a lot of places to walk and explore. I would recommend arriving in the daytime as this site isn't as well marked as some of the other sites. No picnic table or sign to really label it as a campsite. The bathroom is a bit further from this site as well if that is important to you.

Really just a spot in the driveway in a residential neighborhood. That said, it was a nice neighborhood and Heather was very accommodating. If you're looking for a basecamp to explore Bend this is a good option.

Cheryl is a very friendly host and so easy to work with! We happened to be the only campers there when we stayed (I think a recent fire scared people away), and it was fantastic to have a real bathroom all to ourselves! In fact, since we were the only campers, Cheryl suggested we switch to site 5 which is bigger and has more shade. We really appreciated that! Our biggest complaint is no fault of Cheryl's; the land is just really dusty, and all of us and all of our stuff was very dirty. Otherwise, we had a great stay. Thank you, Cheryl!

Nice spot. We used it as a home base for rafting day trips on the Deschutes. About 20 minutes from Sandy Beach. Felt very private and a short walk across the road to hang by White River. Freshly cleaned porto potty. We would stay again. Host warned us about yellow jackets and they were bad. Brought a trap to add to about 6 others already hanging and had to eat in screened in tent. Pretty typical in field like that in late summer in the area though.

Great site! Effortless check-in/check-out. Morning view of the canyon was priceless! Many farm animals on the property along with some guard dogs. Very close to Smith Rock! Bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear the dogs barking through the night. Other than that, great stay!

My family and I loved camping at Cindi’s campsite. She was very helpful with the directions and was flexible with our schedules. There was lots of room for our tents and vehicles. We were able to fish with the river right next to us. Definitely a great spot to get camp.

Wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a clean, quiet spot close to Sisters or Bend with some amenities. Great views and Cheryl is an amazing host. Tent spots are huge with a short walk to restroom and water. Definitely a hidden gem! We'll be back.

I loved camping on Michele’s land! It’s on the outskirts of town on the beautiful Deshutes River, just love listening to the river. Her entire family is just lovely, very helpful and accommodating to any needs that might pop up! The property is beautiful and the camping area is very clean and flat, perfect for tents or RVs/trailers. I will definitely stay here when rolling through Bend again.

I had a big group and we all had enough space to set up our own hammocks/tents. It was very spacious and had a spot for us to hang out on the water and swim, we even caught some big rainbow trout! This spot is a 10/10 and I will definitely plan on staying here again. The camp host was accommodating and gave us our privacy.

Cheryl is amazing! Not only does she have the most incredible story about how this place came to be, but she was thoughtful and caring. My mom, me, and my dog came through just as the fire near Sisters started. She called us to warn us and since we were originally going to tent camp, she offered us the gathering room to sleep in to stay out of the smoke. Her property is absolutely stunning. Wish we had more time on her property and with her and her sweet dog.
