2026-04-12 The frogs will keeep you up at night. They are noisy. New ponds, more water, and a bunch noisy birds in one tree or another. Water is on and so are the big guns. Come see some animals and greenery in the high desert. Fires ok if it’s not dry and or windy. Designated spots, and on-site wood. A peaceful retreat on the ranch, lots of open pasture and wildlife. Multiple RV spaces with electrical and well water, and a few tent sites. Lots of open space and sunshine for walks, clear sky’s for starry nights, a frog pond, larger pond with mature aspen grove and bench, campfires*, motorcycles**. birds, deer passing through. Resident cats, Ike, Rose and Haze can be seen out hunting. Streams and ponds June-Sept. Rpod not included. Cameras onsite, but campsites are not covered. Kid friendly with some playground equipment. Very private, lots of spaces to choose from. Kid friendly, including a climbing dome and a trampoline, and some other obstacle course items. Cows and goats to follow around. Afternoon shade on the bench by the main pond next to the aspen grove and a bit of a trickling creek when the pond is full. 10 minutes from downtown Bend and all it has to offer. 5 mins north on Brookswood to the Old Mill District, and the Deschutes river (and trail). Chickens on site for fresh eggs (starting Sept ‘25)

50A electric, and well water faucet. (its from the well, but I dont know how it gets there. Not officially potable). Large open space overlooking the frog pond to the west. Enough trees for shade on the hot days, and lots of sunshine. Deer pass through, the birds and geese can be pretty noisy at times, incredible sunsets and mountain peek-a-boos. Watch out for large holes in the ground and barbed wire.

This peaceful campsite rests at the edge of pine forest with open skies, easy access, and plenty of space to spread out. The site includes level ground with a few central trees and a rustic old plow nearby for character. Sunsets cast long light across the trees, pond and open pasture, making evenings especially beautiful. There’s ample room to park, turn around, and settle in without feeling crowded. The atmosphere is quiet and natural, with forest views and farm sounds in the distance. Ideal for RVs, campervans, and tiny homes on wheels looking for a private stay with essential utilities and a farm-forest setting.

Tucked back in the trees in a private setting, with almost full accommodations. Bring your own bedding or sleeping bags. Upper loft is a queen, second or lower bed is a twin. Gas stove, oven, water heater, basic kitchen with utensils Nice shower and grey water drain. Composing toilet on the way. Mini wood stove to take off any chill. Solar with battery powers everything you need except the A/C. Space for tent, and parking

Fantastic host, great property, and a cat that I can pretend is my new best friend. 10/10 Brett was great! Made sure we had everything we needed, and we felt like we had plenty of privacy.

Great home base for exploring Bend

We are so grateful we found Brett’s property in Bend. We stayed here 4 nights in our 36-foot fifth wheel after our plans to dry camp on public land fell through. We really appreciated the 50a service, and water being available. His property is a work in progress, but we had a nice open space for our rig that looked out over the pastures and perfect for sunset, complete with a nice picnic table. We saw deer every evening. There was lots of grassy areas for our dog to sniff around, and trash cans available. This location is PERFECT for exploring Bend. We went to the Newberry National Monument, did some trails along the Deschutes River, visited Smith Rock State Park, etc. Bend is on our “must return” list and we’d happily stay on Brett’s property again. Brett and his wife were friendly and also gave us plenty of space and privacy. For big rigs, just watch the branches before you turn onto Brett’s driveway. They are pretty easy to avoid but we weren’t paying attention and have some scratches on our rig from it.

We enjoyed staying at Brett's place. It was peaceful and quiet and very private. The views are beautiful, quail at the pond and farm animals in the field. We would stay again.

Great stay on Brett’s beautiful property and a great central location for Bend. We stayed in a 35’ fifth wheel and were able to easily maneuver onto to the pretty dang level spot. 50 amp hookup available or he had a converter for 30 amps. We did share the area for part of our stay and it was still much more private than a campground.

Brett was super accommodating and easy to communicate with! The property is beautiful and very accessible to the centre of town. The well water was perfect for us as we’d been on the road for a while. Highly reccomend to any type of travellers :)

The campsite was nice. We were able to find a flat spot and the location was quiet and dark. But I find the price a little steep for not having a toilet! Also the campsite is advertised as having potable water and the owner admitted to me he doesn't know if the water is potable, it had some settiment when it settled.

Very calm and peaceful spot, quite a surprise as so close to town. While we ate supper at the picnic table by our RV we watched a deer come down to the pond to drink.

Brett's property is so peaceful. It is located minutes from Bend, which we visited several times. We are new camper owners and Brett helped us re-orient our camper so the solar panel was more effective. We will return to this campsite again.

Brett's place worked out great for us and our 27' camp trailer. He had a 30 amp plug in, a water hose and was very helpful and friendly. The place was nice and quiet, just what we wanted.

My wife and I take a yearly trip to Bend to enjoy the town, go on some hikes, do some golfing, and to camp out. Our stay at Calico A on Brett’s property was top notch. He’s an awesome host and introduced himself upon arrival. Has all of the hook ups necessary for your camper, dog friendly, and very peaceful part of town to relax around a fire at the end of the day. Definitely recommend spending some time here!
