Great communication. Quiet spot, especially compared to park sites we passed on drive. Lots of recommendations for things to do in the area. Was great having someone onsite. Would definitely recommend.

Wow! We had the most pleasant time camping. Fred, the host, was so accommodating and friendly. He had freshly mowed an area for our Subaru (we car camp). We were offered water, but we brought our own, and there is an extremely clean portapotty. Even though we were near his campsite, it was still private. The stars were incredible! And the scenery was relaxing. We just needed a campsite within driving distance of Smith Rock (it’s about a 50 minute drive) and we got so much more!! I’m saving this place & telling anyone who cares to listen about it.

Our stay at this campsite was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel very welcomed. He provided a container of water and explained camp rules. The campsite was clean and thoughtfully maintained, with plenty of room between sites with trees and brush to maintain privacy for a relaxing experience.
The location was stunning—I just love the high desert landscape and is surrounded by mountains that lit up at sunset. The skies at night were beautifully dark and clear, perfect for stargazing. It felt like we had a front-row seat to nature’s best show.
During the morning, my son had an absolute blast exploring and catching lizards, while I got to unwind in the hammock and soak in the peaceful sounds of birds and the breeze through the trees. It was the perfect mix of adventure and tranquility. All with close proximity to the lake and adventures in the surrounding area.
I highly recommend this campsite!!

What a lovely host! Our host made sure we had everything we needed, he was friendly and helpful with recommendations of fun things to do. He even let us borrow a pan and lighter as we forgot ours. The camp site is beautiful and close to lake billy, a small corner store and only 35 minutes from Madras. It’s the perfect camping oasis with lots to do near by. The porta potty was exceptionally clean, and is a nice addition to the campsite. Definitely would book again, and highly recommend!

The area was spacious and spread out, campers were not right on top of eachother. We never felt crowded nor like we were so close that our noise bothered other people. This isn't a fancy location, but the porta-jon was always clean and the property was exactly what we wanted. Extremely private!! The host, Fred, was super accomodating, always worried about your comfort and any needs you might have. Very reachable by phone and was a wealth of information about the area! Will definitely go back!

Beautiful and quite area that is amazing for watching the stars. The site was very well maintained and clean with fun things around the grounds. Honestly the host/caretaker Fred was amazing person, especially as a host. He is very friendly, helpful, kind and knowledgeable about the best spots around. Could not ask for a better host/caretaker then Fred, he made the experience easy and safe with all his experience and knowledge. Great place to have a secluded campsite but still have access to a bathroom and the beautiful surroundings.

I was lucky and got the place to myself but can tell that even a full camp would have been awesome! Fred was a great host and hooked me up with a hammock, super relaxing camp!

Perfect for hammock camping, find 2 Junipers and hang in the shade. Fred helped us during our stay and he was delightful, friendly, noninvasive and had a great sense of humor! The landscape was quiet, peaceful and private despite 4 other campers staying around us. The other campers were respectful, diverse and very friendly when we stayed. You can barely hear the occasional car passing by on the main road, and yet you’re a quick drive to the lake! We had a fantastic magical weekend staying at this camp, we highly recommend!

Amazing spot, the drive to the campsite was amazing. And surprised they had cell service (for the people who work from home) communication was on point and answered all my questions needed. Even let us use some of the stuff they had, propane and etc also. Checked if we needed help when we packed up and even said we can stay longer if needed to go to the lake as well. Will def be coming back. Enjoyed the stay very much. Smith rock is maybe 30 min away so was super convenient and bend wasn’t too far away. They made sure we had good spots for tent camping to feel more private as well.

Very helpful for a last minute booking when our hotel told us that they overbooked. Beautiful star gazing and kind host to greet us making sure we were settled on our late night arrival.

Very lovely property. The host was very accommodating. The property was fairly busy with the music festival occupants and there was only one toilet. But I am sure with normal usage that would be adequate. Very nice experience overall.

Host was great. Porta potty was clean. The site was pretty. Directions to get there were clear. Definitely wear shoes at all times, there’s foxtails, broken glass, and I saw a scorpion 😳. But very close to the lake, and beautiful area.

Loved staying here for the weekend! Host was very accommodating, provided perfect instructions on how to get to the property and met us as we drove in. Campsite was well kept and a nice location, we were provided with everything listed and even water for washing hands etc. We fell asleep looking at the stars each night, would stay here again if I’m in the area!

Great, great hosts! Had a great time, very spacious and lots of room for activities. The stars were awesome at night. Super close to Lake Billy Chinook, we went swimming and had lots of fun. Would go again!

Fred made the entire stay such an easy and great experience! He provided us with water, a flashlight, and plastic forks when we realized we forgot ours. The site was set up so nicely for us, with a picnic table, lights to line the walkway to our car and hanging flowers. Access to a port-a-potty with hand sanitizer was really nice as well. Thanks again!!

Beautiful setting. We were greeted personally by our host, Fred, who guided us to a nice level spot he prepared for our RV which was surrounded by trees for shade and privacy. We had our boat at the marina and it was a quick drive from our camp spot. The hosts and a couple other campers were there, spread out enough to have plenty of privacy. Besides the setting, we enjoyed the excellent viewing of stars and a huge red moon

We were hosted by Fred, he communicated well and was very friendly. Campsite was quiet with lots of open space but enough trees to give some shade. We had six people in our group and a puppy, everybody had a good time. Outhouse was clean. Very cool driving through the Lake Billy Chinook canyon.
