This was the best of all worlds combined! Lake, ocean, alpaca, sheep, mountains, sweet host….need I say more? Lots of birds around and myst in the surrounding hills in the morning. We even paddled around the small lake in our inflatable kayak. Thanks so much!

Absolutely beautiful and serene!! We stayed at site 1, which I highly recommend, it’s just a few steps from the creek. Fell asleep to just the sound of the creek each night. The hosts were very welcoming and have done a wonderful job at making the camp area so special. We have camped in many places and this is our new favorite, such a neat place! We will definitely be back and can’t wait to try out the cabin they are building as well. Thank you so much for sharing your paradise with us and the great conversations.

The site was quiet and well kept. Tobi was a fantastic chat and just an all around great guy. Very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one but it was great.

Clean and quiet, right across from the ocean and you can hear the waves from the campsites. It was fun watching and listening to the birds, redwing blackbirds to bald eagles. Dave was a great host, he met us when we pulled in. Pacific city is right down the road, there’s a great little coffee shop with gluten free goodies that were phenomenal.

We had a fun time camping at The Lake Pasture! Great location just a short walk to the beach (across the road). The sites are far enough away from each other to offer privacy, and everything was well labeled and tidy. The porta potty was getting pretty full while we were there, but otherwise everything was great!

Stayed at this property for 2 nights and it was amazing! The lake is gorgeous and there’s a bench on the dock to sit back and relax. The campsites and spacious and pretty private. The fence blocked some of the wind. There is also access to a porta potty and non-potable water available at each spot. My dog and I really enjoyed this camping site! Between being a short distance from the beach, the animals across from the campsite, and access to the lake I would definitely stay here again!

I had such a splendid stay on Dave's land! From the serene little lake to the red winged black birds singing and flitting around me and the adorable alpaca and sheep. The sites are somewhat close to each other but other campers were also there to enjoy serenity so the ambiance remained peaceful and quiet. The road next to the land was not busy so the occasional vehicle wasn't an issue as the main sounds were the ocean and the symphony of birds and then frogs at night. I loved being a few minutes walk from the ocean and Dave is very friendly and the $10 tubs of firewood were very generous! I can't wait to come back!

If you’re looking for a quiet, accessible and, pet friendly place to unplug and camp at the beach you can’t beat this. Beach access is steps away. Our pup enjoyed the stay as well !

I loved my stay in Dave’s land. Perfect spot in great location. Had a campfire with the generous sized tote of wood available to get on site. Watched the stars and explored the coast. Cleanest Porto-potty I’ve ever been in too. Great hipcamp spot!

A beautiful spot between a quiet lake and an epic beach! We loved listening to the birds in the morning, seeing the llama, and exploring the dune at Cape Kiwanda. The site was clean and private.

This place was wonderful! It is right across from the beach, a short drive into town, along a beautiful scenic drive, and down the road from some calm and stunning hiking. The animals were friend and the land came with all the basics. On top of that, Dave and his wife were fantastic!! Not only were they friendly, Dave came to the rescue when my van was stuck in the mud (my fault—I went to close to the wet lands). Could not ask for a better place to stay on the coast

Weekend Trip to The Lake Pasture

We had a beautiful time camping at Dave's pasture! You just cannot beat the idyllic location. We enjoyed waking up and contemplating the misty lake in the morning hours from the dock or crossing the street to take in the gorgeous stretch of ocean. Incredible sunsets on the beach, spring peeper frogs lull you to sleep after enjoying a campfire. Hanging out with the sweet sheep ladies and their stately guardian llama, Forest was a highlight for me (bring carrots and apples for them!). Dave stopped by on our second day and gave us some great pointers for fun activities and areas to visit nearby. Highly recommended!

This site is great! The pasture has sheep and a llama, who is very friendly, especially if you have an apple! Also, the beach is right across the road. Great hiking and a cute little town are a short drive away. And the host is quite friendly.

Our campground boasts four primitive sites located in an open field between a fresh water lake and the Pacific Ocean. Our campground provides a rustic escape for those seeking solace and adventure. With access to a shared private lake, guests can unwind by the water's edge, kayak, or simply soak in the beauty of the natural surroundings. Please note we do not book group campsites. Powder Creek Ranch is 362 acres, nestled into a valley, surrounded by forest in the Oregon Coast Range. The campground is in a secluded meadow next to Powder Creek, a pristine year round stream, perfect for wading and playing in. If you're looking to unplug and escape from the chaos of city life, we are all about peace and quiet and connecting with nature. Each of our 13 extra large campsites offers access to the creek, a picnic table and campfire ring. All sites accommodate RVs as well as tent camping. No hook-ups or potable water available. There are seven (7) creek side sites, one site next to a pond and all have ample space around them so you don't feel crowded. Our newest addition is a cabin overlooking Powder Creek, tucked away by itself. Solar powered. The Ranch has 1/2 mile of Nestucca River frontage where you can swim or fish, whichever floats your boat. Niagara Creek/Pheasant Creek falls is a nearby hiking trail and there are roads as well as deer and elk trails to explore all over the ranch. If you feel like venturing further, the beach is 23 miles away in Pacific City. Tillamook is 25 miles. We also offer pasture raised pork for sale. A variety of sausages (breakfast, chorizo, Italian, Bratwurst and French Garlic links) and pork chops.

Coastal Farm Sanctuary

Since 2015 we have been steadily regenerating the soils and improving this once completely barren property. We now have diverse plant life on the property which in turns attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better. Our property sits on a sunny bench just back from the ocean and just above the fog line. Our south facing location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. On most days the maximum number of workers on the farm is two people (your hosts). This is a low traffic area. There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Mon-Sat. Sundays are quiet. Site 2 aka Freedom Camp is reserved exclusively for tent Both camp sites can use the portable toilet. We keep it clean and odor free for a safe and sanitary camping experience. Bring your bikes, boards and/or other outdoor gear! Many adventures can be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. Our property is close to town as well as road bike loops, gravel roads and mountain bike trails. We're also close to the beach and that's how we like it. Within 15 - 45 minutes drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is only 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing plant based food and they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of other drinks and treats at The Green Salmon Cafe. Miles of white sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua which is a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes & includes a 26 mile trail system. Relax and enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there.

Trip Camp- Secluded Forest by Beach

Rustic tent and hammock camping on 20 private forested acres, just half a mile from the Pacific Ocean. It’s peaceful, wild, and surprisingly close to Yachats. You’ll fall asleep to ocean waves, not generators. This isn’t a tourist campground. It’s our home. We’re opening a few of our favorite spots to people who appreciate quiet, nature, and thoughtful presence. Our campsites were built for our family, not mass use. If you like forest stillness and a touch of wildness, you’ll probably love it here. If you’re looking for drive-in glamping with full facilities, this probably isn’t your spot. What to expect: • Walk-in campsites (5 minutes or less from parking) • No RVs, trailers, or car camping • No water, power, or trash service: pack everything out • Shared outhouse: use for bodily waste only! • Optional outdoor shower ($10/person) by request. It's attached to our home and rustic (some love it, others skip it - or wish they’d brought a bathing suit.) • Guided check-in required between 4–7 PM. No arrivals after 8 PM • All communication via Hipcamp messages - no text messages • One check-in per group. If arriving in two vehicles, coordinate timing or walk your party in You’ll park near our greenhouse and home, where you may see chickens, a kiddo on the play structure, or hear a tractor. Campsites are deeper in the woods and often feel totally private. A seasonal creek flows nearby. Depending on the time of year, you might spot wild mushrooms, huckleberries, and more. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, including a short stretch along Highway 101. It’s walkable but may feel exposed to some. Yachats, the 804 Trail, and Cape Perpetua are all nearby. This land once held a WWI-era spruce logging camp. We’ve lived here since 2013, slowly transforming bramble into trails, gardens, and space to grow. Our son is a cancer survivor, and our connection to this land runs deep. We’re not a commercial farm - we’re a family practicing stewardship, slow living, and welcoming guests who do the same. We love hosting quiet campers, nature lovers, foragers, backwoods hikers, and families who understand personal space and come prepared. If that’s you, you’ll feel right at home.

Kilchis River Retreat

Enjoy a quarter mile of Kilchis River access in the Tillamook Forest! If you prefer a private setting you can put up a tent on the west end of the property, or chose the comfort of staying in our rustic cabin.
