If you prefer a more private setting you can put up a tent or bring a small RV on the riverside site on the far west end of the property, or choose the comfort of staying in our rustic cabin. Book both sites for extra large groups or if you need more space/privacy. There is no electricity or running water in the cabin, however a generator can be rented if it is desired. Potable water is also available if you bring a jug to fill. A portable toilet is available on-site. Take advantage of the opportunity to go fishing, swimming, or launch your boat/kayak/tube. Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy the picturesque views of the river and the wildlife in the coastal rainforest. Watch the salmon jump during spawning season in November, or cast a rod from our private fishing spot. We are also a birdwatcher's and rockhounding paradise! Just a few minutes away from town amenities, this location allows you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the forested river canyon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are family and fur baby friendly! If you are an animal lover, take the time to enjoy a visit with our cats and chickens too.
*Please note, while we have no direct neighbors, we are in a narrow river canyon. There is an active farm and wedding venue across the river. You may hear distant noise of their operations or events, depending on the season. There is also a quarry across the road that operates M-F, from 8a-3p that sometimes can be heard sporadically throughout the day.

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options.
Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park.
The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin.
Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests.
The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts.
The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards.
The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! It was a very relaxing and quiet spot.
Also, Butters is such a sweet cuddlebug of a cat. We’ll absolutely be booking again :)

Staying at the flying f ranch was so relaxing and refreshing. The cows did make their way up to the cabin and it was so cool getting to watch them. Brent and Tabitha showed us up to the cabin and were very nice, they were welcoming and had a beautiful property! Definitely get some steaks, eggs and ground beef!! They were delicious!! The porch sitting is awesome as well!

Weekend Trip to Alsea Valley Farm
We had a wonderful time staying at this special spot for a friends getaway. Our host was extremely helpful and responsive. The cabin is so well thought-out, and it's lovely to see the creativity and time that has gone into this property. It's so nice to be able to walk right out the door and hike their private trails, listen to the creek, and relax. We arrived right after fire restrictions were lifted, so we were able to use the outdoor fire pit and look at the stars. We also used the sauna every day we were there. It has an electric sauna heater and a small woodstove, so you can choose your heat source, and the short little path down to the cold dip in the creek is genius. Some folks in reviews have mentioned the composting toilets--as some of our group lives entirely off-grid, we were actually taking pictures of their setup because it's really well designed. Just think of all the water you're saving in the world. The property itself is well cared for, and their little dog is such a cutie. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a beautiful place! The way Kim had made it special with the cabin and the tasting area is really great. Very peaceful and not too far away from McMinnville if you were silly like us and forgot to bring food. The dogs also loved it!

Weekend Trip to The Flying F Ranch Bunkhouse
Came here for the second time and I can't wait to come back for a third visit! Brent and Tabitha take great care of the bunkhouse and those of us that get to come stay there. Don't forget to grab some steaks and yummy beef snacks while you're there!

1 night at Kilchis River Retreat
We booked a last minute trip and it was a great stay. We booked the cabin and it was nice and cozy with a 1 minute walk to the river. Also the bench and grill which definitely came in handy. Finding the location was easy as well. We did the hot tube option and enjoyed it outside on the deck. Easy to use and nice to be under the trees. Definitely would recommend or stay again.

The river spot was great, fun farm animals to hang with as well. Fit two campers and had the cabin, made for a great family weekend.
