I have two acres of land separate from my home, pretty much wooded property ideal for tent camping or sleeping in your car you are off the road a bit with privacy in a secure safe environment. You will find shells between the trees and solar lights at each campsite for your convenience.On the two acres, there's a Porta-Potty available, and all my guest will receive a welcome bag, as a thank you for booking with River Pines. There is four campsites of your choosing to choose from.The river is within walking distance, easily accessible off the main road, just about two car lengths away, off Sunna Ln. It's approximately 5 miles to the town of Chiloquin, about 35 miles from Crater Lake, roughly 12 miles from Collier Park Museum (a logging museum), and Spring Creek, around 32 miles to Klamath Falls. Experience the peace and quiet (except for the frogs) on this beautiful property. Each site includes a private secluded space to set up camp, we include running water and a fire pit. We provide the first night of firewood with more available for purchase. We are all about peace and respect for the land and each other on Thrive Ranch. Please be expecting to exist in the same type of space while here. No loud music or huge ruckus'. If you have the need to create a space for a larger group where you can celebrate and make some noise just let us know, we can probably accommodate with special arrangements and at a different location on the property. No road noise at all, we are out here and the only thing you will hear at night is bugs and frogs. Maybe a moo or two occasionally during grazing season. We named all our sites after past and present pets that we hold very dear to our hearts. It was that or some kind of hairy fairy names that you hear everywhere else like serenity or solitude.....blechh... We have a stream that flows year round, a 10-12' sheet waterfall with a swimming hole and a glorious 100' waterfall to hike to, stand under or just sit and enjoy. We have a pond that we are currently developing as a contributing recreational space. We are adding value at a very rapid pace and will be adding to the description as we do. If you book a month out don't be surprised if we have added an outdoor kitchen. Our real toilet outhouses have been added to 3 of our sites. So much cool stuff to do on a really magical property. We want to share so come enjoy. Not one of our campsites are in view or proximity to the others. Very private and lots of solitude. We (as hosts) can be as present or invisible as you like. Access to miles of trails and roads on BLM/Forest Service land for hiking, ATV's, motorcycles and off-roading. Please know to explore responsibly and at your own risk to preserve the land and keep yourself safe. You are also welcome to explore the property with the exception of one space on the upper portion where the owners reside. Views are beyond and nothing man made that is not on the property is visible from the property with the exception of one little red light on a US Cellular tower across the valley. We currently do not provide electricity at the sites but it is in the works. We have both available a short walk from the camp site in a common area. The power is limited to charging tech, some laptop time and the like, It wont run a hairdryer, etc. The WiFi is common use and has the ability to download and make WiFi calls. No guarantee of its suitability for any particular purpose, it will depend on usage in the moment. There is little to no reception up here so please plan ahead. US cellular has property and valley wide reception but that is the only one. Verizon can send texts and messages but is painfully slow or non-existent on internet. Also has voice calls occasionally but don't count on it. All the other cell services we do not know about. If you would like to spend a week or more here and would like a better power/internet solution then let us know. We can set it up for specific needs. Good if you wish to be in an amazing space to work remote or write. We are adding decks for lounging and views, a solar and wood heated community Jacuzzi for our guests and an outdoor shower tub as we speak and will add pictures as the projects are completed. We welcome ATV's, side by sides, 4x4's, snowmobiles and other such fun rec stuff but will require you to ride/drive on the bazillion acres of BLM land. It is on two sides of the property and a short distance. Riding on and off the property is limited to 10 mph to limit dust and noise and safety for everyone on the property. Please let us know if you plan on bringing any toys so we can notify the others on the property and send additional info, rules and such. There are several wineries on the road between us and Ashland. If you get drunk please arrange a ride or contact us for help. We support not driving while under the influence and will support you. we also have several responsible persons that live on the property and can be hired to drive/guide you on tours. We are in the process of creating wine tours of the valley which will include a driver. We have several lakes within 10-30 minutes for boating, and other water sports. Rock climbing is also available with the local sport crag within 25 minutes, castle crags is about 2 hrs away and several other small crags and bouldering around the valley 30 min.-1.5 hrs. Instruction and guiding are available if you or your group would like to learn. Equipment provided. Inquire. We can provide certain camping amenities if you need them. We would love to make arraignments for kids groups, camps, music festivals and workshops. Please be aware that there is little to no cell service up here if you get lost you will have to back track, find service and contact us and we can help you find us. If you'd like, tell us when you are turning onto Dead Indian Memorial Rd so we can expect you in 30 minutes, if you don't arrive we can go looking for you. Please just let us know and we can send directions. Google maps will take you right to the property, we've found that other navigation apps will take you the wrong way. Dead Indian Memorial Rd. Is a very good two lane rd. Some steep grades but qaulity pavement. Internet available for all sites at a centralish location. There are some small trout in the stream but only throwback size so far. Grow fishy’s grow!!

Hideouts HipCamp Review I loved this place! Partly the location and partly the very nice people there. About the location: it's not for everyone,; it is a bit of a drive including 5 miles on a scrabble road that is fine. But you get out and away from everyone and into a beautiful spot with a great view. It’s also rather rustic that I like that soon they will have a bath house and it’ll be different. There’s an example of how they were nice to me: I am 72 years old and have some mobility issues. they were very cognizant of it and helped me get around a little bit. That was very sweet. I would come back every year if I could.

I've had the best time staying on this beautiful mountain with these wonderful people. There is absolutely nothing like waking up to mountain sunrises, and taking a dip in the cool creek after hiking on a hot day. This place is very special, and it's not just due to the breathtaking views. It's also because of the people there whose goal is to make it feel like both home and a new adventure all at once. I look forward to many many more trips back!

It was nice! There was a well kept outhouse, and she put hand sanitizer and such inside. Nice touches. There was a garbage can and a picnic table - we had a good camping experience there. The only drawback in my opinion is that the camp lacks a source of water so you need to bring your own.

This spot is definitely a hidden gem! From incredible star-gazing to a beautiful sunrise, this spot is perfect for the view-seekers. Kat and her partner were such gracious hosts, thinking of the little things to help make us comfortable. They made themselves available if we needed anything throughout our stay as well. They have a little piece of heaven tucked away in the mountains of southern Oregon and they’re dedicated to making it as special as possible! Getting to the Hipcamp is a little tricky even with detailed instructions so definitely give yourself time to get there as they are still working to perfect the off-grid navigation.

Gravel/ dirt road for about 30 minutes of the 45 minute drive off the highway to get to the property, would not recommend 2WD like I had but I still made it and man was that view worth it! Fantastic hosts and property!! They’re putting a lot of work in to cleaning up the land to eventually become a campground but even as is I would go back time and time again.

We had a wonderful time in this cabin. Although the cabin is small, it is well designed and feels much more spacious. The loft was great and the outdoor shower worked exceptionally well. The property is so peaceful and private, it was great to hang out. Hope to get back there sometime.

What a view and a hidden gem, truly. It's the early days for these camp hosts, and they have already poured so much of their hearts and souls into this breathtaking land. We had a killer spot, with unobstructed views of Mt McLoughlin, the canyon, and the Milky Way filled night sky. Peace abounds here, as did the hospitality from hosts Kat and Colman. They have a vision for all that the place will become, and it feels really special to have gotten to stay at The Hideouts and support that vision as it becomes reality. Kat and Cameron were accommodating, communicative, and welcoming from our first HipCamp message, to our arrival, and all the way through to our departure. Our trip down the canyon to hike to the waterfall was well worth the drive. 4WD required! Next time, we'll do the canyon hike as well. Don't miss this spot - a little slice of heaven far away from distractions.

Brian and his cohost Jessica were great hosts, available if you want to chat, unobtrusive if you don't. They also supplied a map of the property showing the dirt roads and lanmarks. We hiked, rode mountain bikes, napped in a meadow.
