Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village. Please note: We do allow pets in some of our sites for $10 per night. NOTE: Please be aware that the mosquitos can be very bad here at times. Power has recently been going out more frequently due to the Pacific Power's "advanced safety settings". When the power is out the well pump is out, so there is no water. I am happy to provide buckets of river water for "flushing toilets" and pay for showers at the Klamoya Travel Center. I will not be giving refunds for a situation over which I have no control.

The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site, inquire if curious! Wildlife is prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns. The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! Come as a guest, not a customer, and find yourself at home in the wild. Activity and development on site are minimized to enhance natural habitat and ambience. What a beautiful and cozy spot!! Kit was very accommodating and friendly. The cabin was warm, the fire pit was perfect. I was just bummed the outside bathtub wasn't functional at that time, but all in all a great spot and I highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful location! Ben was a kind host and we enjoyed chatting for him for a bit about the area. Definitely the perfect spot to camp on our way back to Portland from San Francisco. A true gem!

All the perks of camping without the fuss! Cozy bed. Even had some kitchen wares to use. Bathrooms and shower were clean and warmed with space heater, and had warm water. Beautiful views and close to crater lake. If you like camping this is a perfect lil spot.

Weekend Trip to Crater Lake Resort

This place is a must stay. We had an amazing time camping here, even if it was so freaking cold the night we stayed. We utilized the free canoe and it was well worth it. The store has everything you need, is reasonably priced, and everyone that works there is so nice. Would recommend and if I'm back around Crater Lake I'll be back for sure.

Hideouts HipCamp Review I loved this place! Partly the location and partly the very nice people there. About the location: it's not for everyone,; it is a bit of a drive including 5 miles on a scrabble road that is fine. But you get out and away from everyone and into a beautiful spot with a great view. It’s also rather rustic that I like that soon they will have a bath house and it’ll be different. There’s an example of how they were nice to me: I am 72 years old and have some mobility issues. they were very cognizant of it and helped me get around a little bit. That was very sweet. I would come back every year if I could.

Beautiful spot! This Hipcamp has nice sites, a clean port-a-pottie, and a small, pretty garden to view. It is convenient to the freeway (and has freeway noise, which we didn’t hear with the windows closed). We were able to bike to town for our plays from here.

The tent and bathrooms were spotless - possibly the cleanest hip camp I’ve stayed at yet! Beautiful and convenient location, thoughtful camp set up, and easy check-in / check-out. Having hot water in the bathrooms was really nice; Tracy also provided a small propane heater for the tent and there’s a very warm comforter on the bed. Would have loved to stay longer!

We had the pleasure of camping at Firebird Ridge for six nights. The property is off the beaten path and very private. It’s beautiful country with hiking trails a small pond and a great host (Ben) .we really enjoyed our stay - you should check it out.

Weekend Trip to Honeycomb Hill

We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to staying at the dome again the next time we're in the area. The location is private and scenic, about 20 minutes from Ashland's city center. The dome itself is cozy and we'll equipped - though you will need to bring your own cooking supplies if you plan on cooking there. The hot tub was the highlight of our trip. You'll have beautiful views of the hills and wildlife. We spotted a family of deer and while we were tubbing! One note for potential guest - you may have trouble with the access road to the property with a low-clearance vehicle. Our Subaru Crosstrek made it just fine, but it would be a bumpy one in a sedan. Thank you Joe and Laura for a wonderful stay :)
