Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village. Please note: We do allow pets in some of our sites for $10 per night. If you plan to bring a pet, please add the pet fee which is listed under "Extras" during the booking process.

Welcome to adventure in far north Siskiyou County! Firebird Ridge presents a fantastic secluded camp station in a beautiful semi-wild setting with huge open sky views over 50 miles of the Klamath River and Siskiyou Crest. Just 10 minutes off the freeway and a little ways up from the river, a handful of thoughtfully laid out sites afford comfy car, tent, or compact RV camping with ample privacy. At an elevation near 3000 feet, the Ridge gets lots of sun, with cold nights and hot days in winter and summer respectively. The mountainside location generally offers clean fresh air with stunning sunsets and excellent stargazing. Best to arrive in daylight to orient and take in the scene! Count on fair to good cell service, plus limited central wifi and power on request. The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old 'bonsai' oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site. Birds and wildlife are prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns. The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! Come as a guest, not a customer, and find yourself at home in the wild. Activity and development on site are minimized to enhance natural habitat and ambience. It's a slow and steady work in progress, not a polished product, so input and feedback is certainly welcome! Guests are advised to minimize disturbance of other occupants and lifeforms--it's fine to have fun and make some intermittent noise but disruptive or damaging behavior will be curtailed. This location is not set up (yet) for people with mobility challenges, or people with no prior wilderness camping experience. Small to medium size (5-15p) groups may combine sites and enjoy some shared space and amenities, please inquire.

This 200 acre property is located within the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, a land bridge where two mountain ranges meet, creating immense biodiversity and natural beauty. Soda Spring is a bourgeoning community tended land located on the unceded territories of the Shasta, Takilma, Latgawa and Klamath peoples, just 10 minutes from the south end of Ashland, Oregon. The property is primarily oak savannah and pastureland, with adjacent fir/pine and madrone/manzanita forests and hillsides. The land sits in a valley where both Soda Creek and Carter Creek enter in to Emigrant Creek as it flows onward to Emigrant Lake, just a mile away. The land is being stewarded by a small group of humans and large community of wildlife and insects. Together we are slowly creating something special... including community event and classroom spaces, gardens, orchards, holistically managed ranch lands, campgrounds and wild places. Please note that we are a working farm with sheep, cattle, horses, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, pigeons and bees. We ask that you are considerate to all the life happening on the land, observing animals at a distance (except the cats, who will not allow for that) and being aware of electric fences. If you bring dogs to the land, (an option only with RV sites) do so at your own risk. Dogs will need to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after meticulously. Thank you for helping keep everyone safe and the land well cared for. Currently there are two vintage trailers and two RV sites available. We are located in southern Oregon near Crater Lake NP, just off of hwy 62, part of the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, more commonly known as the "highway of waterfalls" and near the little town of Prospect on what is known as the beautiful side of Crater Lake NP. Three waterfalls, the Prospect Cafe, and the Historic Hotel are all within a two-mile radius. If you're after that famous pie at Beckie's Cafe, you are 10 minutes close. Our 100 acre ranch allows us to host guests in their own RV's, at camp/tent sites, or in our new A-frame Cabin all located in private, and even secluded, sites. Several well maintained trails wind throughout the property and can be enjoyed by guests. Nature enthusiasts enjoy the hiking, wildlife viewing, and the beautiful ponds and woods. Crater Lake Woodlands is part of the historic Katydid Ranch. Once owned by Boise Cascade who used it both for growing seedlings to replant logged mountain sides and as a vacation getaway for their executives, the story of Katydid Ranch goes back to the early 1900's when it's owner named "Katy" used it as the "half-way" overnight lodging for horse buggy guests traveling to Crater Lake from the Rogue Valley. Leaving the valley at the crack of dawn, they could arrive at "Katy's" by nightfall, in time for a meal and sound mountain sleep. They'd hitch up at dawn and make it to Crater Lake by nightfall. Historically, the first residents were the Rogue River Takelma and Latgawa native Americans. Latgawa lived in the Rogue Valley of interior southwest Oregon. In their own language "Latgawa" means "those living in the “uplands," though they were also known as the Walumskni by the neighboring Klamath tribes. Specifically, Ha-ne-sakh. The Latgawa were one of two peoples who spoke the Takelma language. They were hunters, gatherers, weavers and fished the Rogue River. They were known to have a stationary settlement and trading post at the Katydid Ranch location. Their tribes lived in the upper Rogue River area extending beyond Prospect and Union up to Crater Lake. Since we've owned the Ranch, we've maintained the custom of welcoming overnight guests and at the same time, we continue to honor the protected wildlife designation given to it back in the 50's. Wildlife viewing is one the delights we share with our guests. Please be mindful of native wildlife keeping dogs on leash so as to avoid chasing and barking at wildlife. Thank you. The animals here include, but are not limited to black tail deer, elk, fox, coyote, ringtailed cat, raccoon, skunk, and also typically farther up the mountain are the elusive mountain lions and black bear which we have never spotted on our property. The ponds and surrounding area are home to migratory to the Oregon Pond turtle, Canada geese, quail, wild turkeys, various owls including the great horned owls, hawks, cranes and eagles. Our pond bird watcher friends spotted Common Mergansers, Ring Necked Ducks, Canada Geese…and a Loon. The bull frogs orchestrate the evening and can be heard at times throughout the day. Katydid Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary. The flora and fauna of the forest is abundant and diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and numerous varieties of mushrooms. If you are visiting during blackberry season, feel free to pick, pick, pick and indulge. Katydid trees include old growth Douglas Fir, Ponderosa, Sugar, and Jeffrey Pine, various Cedar tree varieties, Incense Cedar, the majestic Pacific Madrone, Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Black and White Oak, Dog wood, and Vine Maple. If you are traveling through or base camping in the area for a bit, my lower gravel driveway is set up as an easy -access private parking area with string lights, tables and chairs, and space for your outdoor kitchen. Enjoy fresh mint, grapes from the grapevines, plums, west- facing sunsets, chickens nearby (no rooster, no worries), and wonderful afternoon shade. It's a perfect spot for a van or two, a small to mid-sized bumper pull, or small RV. Tents are also welcome in the back field. The property is about 10 minutes from the Britt Music Festival and the Forest Park off-leash trail system, as well as dozens of local wineries. It's also about a one-mile walk to downtown Phoenix via either the railroad tracks or the Greenway. The site is just two blocks from the Greenway bike path. Cross the hwy and follow East Glenwood rd down the lane until it intersects with the bike path. It's a safe, peaceful space to spread out, dry your gear after a wet adventure, relax, listen to the birds, and enjoy a sunset without having close neighbors. Basically a convenient beautiful spot along your journey. There is an outdoor sink, shower and outdoor toilet. The shower will not be available during freezing temperatures as it has exposed piping. I also host a Sniffspot on a separate section of the property, which can be added to your reservation through their app. Their motto is ‘like Air Bnb for dogs by the hour”. There, your dog can run free in a fully fenced and landscaped private dog park that they don’t have to share with any other dogs nor people. In summary, Orange Dog Acres is a dog friendly parking spot for the night with the option to reserve a fully fenced Sniffspot to let your pup tire themselves out. Farm stand, dog pool and plenty of toys available . Beautiful property close to Crater Lake National Park. The Wood River runs through it. The 28 acres is mostly undeveloped, but there are a few houses and a restroom outbuilding. Bring your kids, bring your dogs; enjoy the beautiful setting. We have a few kayaks, or there are rental kayaks available nearby. NOTE: Please be aware that the mosquitos can be very bad here at times. Power has recently been going out more frequently due to the Pacific Power's "advanced safety settings". When the power is out the well pump is out, so there is no water. I am happy to provide buckets of river water for "flushing toilets" and pay for showers at the Klamoya Travel Center. I will not be giving refunds for a situation over which I have no control.

We are in the shadow of Mt. McLoughlin in the high Sierra of the Cascades. Our Ranch was part of the original 1800's Oregon land grant. We have our own fresh water springs..cool nights with 1 million stars. No lights touch our prairie. Lake of the Woods is 10 minutes away but we are on Howard lake and just down the road from Hyatt Lake and The Cove Restaurant. Best hamburgers, pizzas, Vegetarian food to be had. Our riding pastures back up to Lilly Glenn Equestrian Park. Our barn is equipped to board up to 8 horses.. We are a Ranch in rehabbing mode but are ready for campers who can come and share our vision. Hopefully start a tradition..
