From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on Splat Action Paintball is just five minutes away. GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Please be careful when using Google maps, for whatever reason it has taken several people to other places other than mine. I posted a picture of the entrance of my property, hopefully this will help. Hurlys Hideaway is a very nice location located approximately 2 miles from the town of Tillamook. Very close to the beach Sand Lake various Rivers for fishing kayaking swimming Etc. Approximately 4 MI from Netarts Oceanside area, Netarts Bay, Cape Mears. A very nice location to be able to access all of these activities in Tillamook County. My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

Camp on the edge of Forest Park and sleep underneath an evergreen canopy of Douglas fir and big leaf maple. We have one large forest glade with room for several tents. We book only one group at a time, so you are guaranteed the place to yourselves. We can accommodate up to 15 people, with a max of 5-6 vehicles (parking is tight). This is a hike-in only campground most suited to backpack style camping. The hike in has two short steep sections about 50 feet each. It takes 5-15 minutes depending on fitness level and load. This is not suitable for those with accessibility issues. The campground features: -Fairy lights strung among the tress to create the perfect magical ambiance -Large fire ring with seating for 7-10 and cooking grate -picnic table with seating for six - Composting latrine with a forest view (commune with nature!) -Photo worthy hammock, swinging loveseat , and sunset views - A huge clearing with multiple flat tent spots (5-7) -1/2 mile of trails with hidden surprises - A parking area suitable for car camping or van camping during the rainy season. -Only 20 minutes from downtown Portland, 15 from I5, and minutes from gas and Parking is separate from the campground! It is a brief but steep 1/4 mile hike to get to the main campground and latrine. Bring hiking shoes and pack light. It takes most people 5-15 minutes to hike up, depending on fitness level and load size . If you want to car camp, you will be next to a road and separate from the latrine and fire pit. Enjoy several short trails on the camp's property before heading to Forest Park's Wildwood Trail, which is just up the street, or check out all of the incredible natural and urban nearby attractions in Portland. We are about 20 minutes away Portland's International Rose Test Garden , The Oregon Zoo, and Pittock Mansion Or just swing lazily in a hammock under the trees and enjoy the sound of the forest coming to life. Inquire about a tour of the homestead and the chance to play with our tiny herd of goats who think they are dogs.

There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

My land is Timber, some clearings, we'll see how this goes I'm just getting started. Also, I just learned that the transient tax for Tillamook Oregon is an additional 10% and I hate to do this but I'm going to have to raise my prices $5. If you are coming from Town, I'm 2 mi. from the hospital west on hwy. 131. Look for the purple Minnesota Vikings bus shack. I also put up a hipcamp sign just up my driveway a bit. If you are coming from the south on Fraiser road, turn right when you come to hwy. 131. I'm less than a quarter mile on your left. Also a heads up lately I've had a few people that are having a hard time booking and I learned from another camper if you're staying one night you actually have to select two days it includes the day you check out I just experienced that with another camper so just a bit information I don't know if hip camp changed something or what, but if you're staying one night select two days and it'll work.

Enjoy several short trails on the camp's property before heading to Forest Park's Wildwood Trail, which is just up the street, or check out all of the incredible natural and urban nearby attractions in Portland. This is my most favorite Hipcamp, the setting was like a state park, the host was very welcoming. Sites vary between Forest camping and Orchard camping, I was in a big van so I took the Orchard. Incredible views and enjoyed walking around the land. Definitely will stay again when I’m in the area. Don’t be put off by the steep driveway, a UPS truck makes it up and down!

We have REALLY enjoyed our stay at beautiful Grace Acres. We’re still here, we have decided to extend our stay. Paula and Ed are super friendly and kind hosts. Ed went above and beyond to help us out with an electric cord to use so we could have electricity. The rv spot is flat and on gravel, so no muddy paws on our Pooch. Plus the resident farm dogs, Maverick and Lucy are just wonderful and so gentle. The rolling green views are magnificent and the stars at night, look close enough to touch. Thank you for allowing us to stay on your fabulous property!

Choose your preferred dates. 3. Pack up your RV for a relaxing getaway from the city! More about the property: - This is a regenerative farm, just starting. Last season I focused on chickens- alive (egg layers for your back yard flock) and dead (meat birds in the freezer and available for your camp dinner). Two cows roam the front pasture and my goal is to grow their numbers to be able to improve the soil health here at the farm.. -My tiny home is in the area of the sites, but far enough away to maintain privacy. Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful. -There is ELECTRICITY and WATER on site. The electricity is through a standard household outlet so an adaptor will be necessary, and possibly an extension cord, depending on where you choose to set up. An outhouse with a compost TOILET and sink are available, but no shower. However, in winter months, the sink will be turned off to protect pipes. Water is still available from an in ground frost free spigot. -There is a FIREPIT for evening musing, don't forget your marshmallows. Firewood is available on site for $10/night with an unlimited supply (or free if you want to gather downed limbs). - There is an old hay wagon converted into a covered picnic area that I call the COWZEBO for use in bad weather. Enjoy a meal here with a great view of the river. - FRIENDLY DOGS are welcome. Know that my dogs also hang out here. Located in the Willamette Valley, where route 240 and 47 meet is the small town of Yamhill. just 3 miles out of town there is a 66 acre farm with forest covered hills, rolling hay fields and a small seasonal creek. We have 2 camp sites available and more coming soon nestled in the trees across the open hay field where you can watch wildlife. each site has access to the composting toilet, has their own picnic table, fire ring, access to water, and some extras like hay that can be used for under tents, kindling to help start your fire, a fire extinguisher, access to a propane fire ring during fire danger season, and a few yard games. we do have fire wood available to purchase as well as farm fresh eggs. the camp sites are seasonal and most will be closed for the wet winter months. they will be open from June to September, depending on the weather we may need to adjust the access to the sites. at times they may be walk in only (about 200ft walk) or four wheel drive access only as they are in a low area of the farm and do not wish anyone to get stuck. if access has been changed I will notify you as soon as I can with an update. you are welcome to walk around during your stay, pick some blackberries, apples or plums but please be aware and careful as we do have some poison oak on the property. I encourage you to stay on a path. please message me if you would like a tour of the farm we have a horse boarding stable, rabbits, chickens and goats ( for your safety please do not enter any barns or pastures without permission , preferable accompanied) you can see and hear some of the animals but most are far enough away that they are not disturbing.
