Some cows and sheep roam the front pasture and my goal is to grow their numbers to be able to improve the soil health here at the farm. -My tiny home is in the area of the sites, but far enough away to maintain privacy. Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful. -There is ELECTRICITY and WATER on site for 1 RV. The electricity is through a standard household outlet so an adaptor will be necessary, and possibly an extension cord, depending on where you choose to set up. An outhouse with a composting TOILET and sink are available, but no shower. However, in winter months, the sink will be turned off to protect pipes. Water is still available from an in ground frost free spigot. -There is a FIREPIT for evening musing, don't forget your marshmallows. Firewood is available on site for $10/night with an unlimited supply (or free if you want to gather downed limbs). - There is an old hay wagon converted into a covered picnic area that I call the COWZEBO for use in bad weather. Enjoy a meal here with a great view of the river. - FRIENDLY DOGS are welcome. Know that my dogs also hang out here. GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

Close to area cities, but private and beautiful. Campsites are along the woods in an open meadow. We have a tasting room onsite where we serve cider, perry and wine that we make here (open Fri-Sun, 3-9pm in summer). Lots of great bird watching, beautiful gardens and great backdrop of the coast Range. We host a summer concert series, usually on Saturdays, so those days are blocked. You may still be able to come though- just shoot me a message!

We always enjoy staying at Jared and Stephanie's place. I've reviewed it positively many times. We've made it one of our go-to stops for overnighting along this stretch of the I-5 freeway. The RV pad has full hookups and is large enough for our longer rig- we are sometimes 36 feet with our cargo trailer on. The view from the hillside is beautiful and it's very peaceful at night. Jered is a good communicator and will make sure you have whatever you need. Don't hesitate to stay here!

This hilltop retreat was perfect and exactly what we needed. Private, peaceful and all the beautiful scenes and weather we love to watch and witness. Layers of fog in the morning, views of clouds on the distant mountains, sounds of frogs and whistling wind, mix of sun and rain. For us was just perfect. The retreat itself was more than amble space for our 33’ RV, full hookups, our dogs loved it and the hosts Jared and Stephane were kind, responsive and very gracious. They truly made sure our stay was wonderful. I highly recommend staying and know we will be back again!

we stayed here on our way up and back to Bremerton, so this review is supplemental to my earlier one. As before, this is a great place to stay with all the hook ups and a nice view out over the hillside. Jered is a really easy-going host and again went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. I'm sure we'll stop back by on our next trip as this site is easy to get to being just a few short miles off of I-5. It's peaceful and quiet at night and well worth the quick jaunt off the freeway to get a good nights sleep.

All amenities for RV hook ups are available and it's a beautiful hillside overlook from the pad.. Easy to get to from I-5 but feels like you're out in the country and very peaceful. We will be back.

We have REALLY enjoyed our stay at beautiful Grace Acres. We’re still here, we have decided to extend our stay. Paula and Ed are super friendly and kind hosts. Ed went above and beyond to help us out with an electric cord to use so we could have electricity. The rv spot is flat and on gravel, so no muddy paws on our Pooch. Plus the resident farm dogs, Maverick and Lucy are just wonderful and so gentle. The rolling green views are magnificent and the stars at night, look close enough to touch. Thank you for allowing us to stay on your fabulous property!
