Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1).

You don't have to be an experienced fisherman to catch a fish in this pond! Swimming, kayaking, paddle boat, cornhole, small beach area for the little ones, and 2 acres of wooded trails for those who enjoy a peaceful walk. Wildlife is abundant and they prefer to be left alone. Please stay on the trails to preserve all vegetation. If you see a fawn or other babies, please do not touch these animals. Momma will be back! Please be aware that if we have had a lot of rain, the creek side spots may be too wet and difficult to get back up the hill with the wet grass. If this is the case, we do have the gravel barn driveway that can accommodate your stay. During peak busy season, the barn drive may have additional guests due to site, weather or general camping conditions. The barn drive offers a view of the creek area about 100 feet away and is about 175 feet from the patio common area. WiFi covering the entire camp and all cellular carriers work great here. 30 Amp electrical in many spots. White tank water fill is available in select locations. Plenty of room for tow vehicle at your camp site.

If traveling here from the South (only on Ohio State Route 127), please note the height restrictions on three roads that connect SR 127 with the parallel Wayne Trace Road. The names of the roads to avoid:
Consolidated (Height restriction 9' 9" under the railroad)
Brower (Height restriction 10' 0" over Seven Mile Creek)
7 Mile Road (Height restriction 10' 6" and very sharp turn to bridge)
Please watch what route electronic devices may may pick avoiding these routes.
A suggested route from traveling North on State Route 127 to Camp Rocky Run is to turn in Camden, OH on State Route 725 and head East to Wayne Trace Road.
!! NOTE on RV types !! You must have a self contained RV with on board restroom facilities. We have no restroom facilities available. For this reason, we do not offer tent camping.
!! NOTE on camp fire location !! The fire ring provided on the shared creek side patio is the only spot a camp fire, of any kind, can be built. (Sorry, but we have had too many damaged spots in the grass from the use of 'portable' fire ring units.)
!! NOTE on Class A RVs with towed vehicle !!
If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, this is only if it is too wet to access the creek side camp spots. Generally we will be able to help you back in, but at times we may be away and suggest a helper in guiding you into the barn drive. Note, the barn driveway is not a pull through site.

For your comfort and convenience, we provide amenities such as an outdoor shower*, fire pit, picnic table, and outhouse with a sink. Whether you're roasting marshmallows around the fire or enjoying a picnic by the creek, our campsite offers the perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. We assure you that the tranquil setting and natural beauty of our farm make it well worth the visit.
Our small hobby farm adds to the charm of your stay, with Highlander cows, potbellied pigs, roosters, hens, turkeys, peacocks, and a garden to explore. Feel free to bring along your furry friends, as long as they are friendly with our animals.
Located across from Sycamore State Park, our campsite provides close proximity to hiking trails and fishing ponds, allowing you to further immerse yourself in nature's wonders. Downtown Dayton is less than a 30-minute drive away so you'll have the best of both worlds – the tranquility of the countryside and the excitement of the city.

*The outdoor shower is located on the side of the barn ~ facing the chicken coop. It is not located at the campsite, but you can see it from the campsite and get to it by a short walk. It is solar-powered so the water temperature is weather dependent. It is not available year round due to the Ohio climate.

You don't have to be an experienced fisherman to catch a fish in this pond! Swimming, kayaking, paddle boat, cornhole, small beach area for the little ones, and 2 acres of wooded trails for those who enjoy a peaceful walk. Wildlife is abundant and they prefer to be left alone. Please stay on the trails to preserve all vegetation. If you see a fawn or other babies, please do not touch these animals. Momma will be back! If traveling here from the South (only on Ohio State Route 127), please note the height restrictions on three roads that connect SR 127 with the parallel Wayne Trace Road. The names of the roads to avoid:
Consolidated (Height restriction 9' 9" under the railroad)
Brower (Height restriction 10' 0" over Seven Mile Creek)
7 Mile Road (Height restriction 10' 6" and very sharp turn to bridge)
Please watch what route electronic devices may may pick avoiding these routes.
A suggested route from traveling North on State Route 127 to Camp Rocky Run is to turn in Camden, OH on State Route 725 and head East to Wayne Trace Road.
!! NOTE on RV types !! You must have a self contained RV with on board restroom facilities. We have no restroom facilities available. For this reason, we do not offer tent camping.
!! NOTE on camp fire location !! The fire ring provided on the shared creek side patio is the only spot a camp fire, of any kind, can be built. (Sorry, but we have had too many damaged spots in the grass from the use of 'portable' fire ring units.)

If it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the nearby barn driveway but if you are unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. It was an absolutely beautiful little spot. Nestled in the woods, listening to the owls and coyotes at night over dinner. We are an off grid/ back pack camping couple but will definitely be going back to visit the sugar shack. The town is also very friendly and quaint. This was a great experience. Went hit tent camping with a few inches of snow on the ground. The hosts were very polite. They cleared the snow off the sand on our site.
We were the only ones out there, but each of the 3 or 4 sites is separated by enough Forest that you cannot see one from the other, so it really feels secluded, almost like dispersed camping.
It’s right on the river which makes it very scenic.

We stayed for 5 days in the sugar shack cabin and it was the coziest experience ever!! Aimee is such a great host and made sure we had every we needed. The wood stove keeps the cabin really warm even in the middle of a snowy night, we accidentally made it too warm one night and went on a night hike in the snow, the most beautiful experience ever. Oh and if you see a little orange cat, that’s Aimee’s cat Tangie, he likes to say hi to the campers!

This is my second time camping at Aimee's place. I came during the off season and there was some work being done on the trail leading to my booked site. She happily gave me the option of site #2 and I liked the different experience it offered.
This site #2 was closer to the neighboring fields and roads while still feeling secluded with not so much road noise that it made the experience poor. Since the property is in the country you might hear people riding quads which was the case for a short time that evening. I even got several visits from her cat during my stay to keep me company. I will definitely be back to see the improvements she is adding to the property!

Loved this spot… although we made a mistake and had planned for an electric hookup for heat. We stayed one night anyway and loved having even a short time on this property. The farm was really an incredible property. We brewed coffee on the provided propane stove and enjoyed a quiet morning on the swing by the creek while enjoying our hot coffee. It felt like a happy accident that we accidentally stumbled on a site that we’ll return to with our solar panels for a boondocking trip in the future. And If you are a tent camper, this spot is one of the best we’ve seen, hands down. Book now!

We didn’t pick the best weekend to go camping, but Aimee’s land made the stay the best that it could have been with the wet weather. The outhouse was convenient and conveniently located to our relocated site, since our van only allowed us to park at site 1. I didn’t realize that the other sites were walking access only, and especially since the land was wet, our van, which was our RV, prevented us from accessing our original requested location. The sauna was a feature that we really enjoyed; and the wood, which was convenient to buy there, after many attempts in the wet weather, finally took fire. Overall, considering the conditions, Aimee’s property made the stay the best.
