At night stare up at the stars as you fall asleep on your full sized queen beds with memory foam mattresses. The main floor offers a very spacious living area with in floor radiant heat system to keep you toasty warm in the winter. The space also includes a mini-split unit that offers additional heating as well as A/C in the summer months. A pull out couch is provided to accommodate any extra guest. The living area is open to the beautiful kitchen with custom made cabinets and rustic center island constructed out of old salvaged barn beams. The large marble island top provides ample space for food prep and dining. Our kitchen has all full sized appliances with large farm sink, full sized French door fridge and a convection oven. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you would need to prepare simple dishes including cooking oil, spices, flour, sugar, basic cookware and baking utensils. A Keurig coffee machine and pods are provided as well as a drip machine with ground coffee. Our bathroom provides every convenience and luxury during your stay. A large 6 foot walk-in shower is spacious and inviting. Admire the custom built vanity also constructed from salvaged barn beams. A full sized washer and dryer are located in the nook of the bathroom and guests are welcome to use throughout their stay. Dogwood Cabin is an off grid experience. Think glamping. It is set on 25 acres in the rolling hills of Morgan County in southeast OH, close to the village of Chesterhill. Hidden in the woods, back a gravel driveway. No electricity, no running water, no central heat, no WiFi, no cell service. Truly getting out into nature without distractions. Hang your hammock between trees. Build a fire to grill your meals. Relax on the porch swing or by the fire. Hike the property, play in the creek. Dogwood Cabin has a small kitchenette. There is a propane camping stove and some pots, pans, coffee maker, and dishes. We have a grill to place over the fire pit. There are 4 mattresses in the loft. No linens. Bring sleeping bags, etc. No running water. Bring water in jugs for drinking, cleaning up and dousing the fire. Buddy propane heater to take off the chill inside, but not make it cozy. Bring a flashlight or lantern. We have several battery lanterns. On low, the lights should work for 6-8 hours. On high, much less. An outhouse (think wooden porta potty) is not far from the cabin. No cell service or internet. Chesterhill is about 2 miles and has service in numerous places on Main St. We have gone up the hill at the church in Todds - right on Goshen Run, left on St Rt 377, about 2 miles. Firewood is not provided. You can bring your own or scrounge the woods for dead branches and twigs. Please douse the fire before leaving. Rake leaves away from the fire pit. Dry materials could easily start a forest fire. 8 plastic deck chairs are stacked on the porch. Please put them back and secure the cover before you leave. We encourage you to get groceries on your way to the cabin, since it is 30 minutes to a decent grocery store. Chesterhill has Ron's Convenience and Restaurant where you can buy subs, pizza, burgers, fries, and groceries. Triple Nickel Diner in Chesterhill is another neat place to eat. No motorcycles on the driveway. You may enjoy hiking the 25 acres on the property. Nature is awesome, but check yourselves and your pet for ticks. 24 hours before your arrival, you should receive a message with the code to get in at the digital entry door, plus a bit more information that you may enjoy.

Weekend Trip to Altenbrauch Farm

The small cabin made it very enjoyable. The 2 of us along with a dog managed well. The AC worked well, the Keurig and Microwave we didn't use. We had planned on cooking over the firepit though by the time the day was done we were too exhausted to start the fire and let the dog run in the soaked muddy ground from all the rain over the past 2 weeks. The self-checkin made it easy along with the colored map to find the cabin. The solar shower I didn't get a chance to use. Only once did I hear the neighbors and that was when I let the dog out late at night. To avoid the rain, the small cabin made it worth it.

I was looking for a relaxing birthday getaway and am so glad I found the Wild Pines! The pups and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pine Cove. The site and the rest of the property was beautiful, and you can tell how much thought and pride Tom & Melissa have poured into this place. The site had everything we needed and more…we are used to primitive/tent camping, so the amenities here were so nice to have! We enjoyed exploring the property, relaxing by the fire, and just being immersed in Nature. It was so quiet and lovely, and exactly what we needed. We even got to experience a cozy evening in the tent listening to a summer thunderstorm. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back!

While we don’t live far away our family of 4 was in need of a short getaway to unplug before the hectic schedule of another school year. This place fit the bill wonderfully. Fresh cut flowers in the dome, swinging by the fire while devouring s'mores, and waking up to the faint sounds of a snoring pig named Red... all priceless memories! Susan is a great communicator via the app and Jeff is so hospitable—at our request he gladly showed us around the farm and taught us about their animals. When a storm rolled in during our stay they made sure we were safe—we couldn’t ask for better hosts! We will be recommending our friends make a visit for a peaceful reset.

This was our second time staying at this little piece of Heaven. So peaceful and quiet - and fun! We loved floating in the little pond and listening to the nature sounds (because that is all you could hear up there) The little cabin had everything we needed and everything was very clean. We will definitely be back.

We had a great experience at Cherokee Valley Bison Ranch! The campsite was very nice and clean, and the tepee was so cool! Such a unique experience! The bison were in the field when we arrived, we didn’t have to wait at all to see them. There were several young calves as well, very cute. Highly recommend for a fun, relaxing trip

Weekend Trip to Geo-dome Glamping

Our time at the dome could not have been any better! My fiancé and I had a MUCH needed, one night get away to the dome and we are already anxiously awaiting our next visit. The hosts are absolutely incredible with all of their amenities and you simply cannot beat the scenery. Perfect for the out of town feel, but close enough for anything you’d like to visit! From the fire pit to the surprise recliners, we only went inside to sleep and with a light rain, I’ve never slept better. Cannot speak highly enough of the dome and its hosts! We will absolutely be back, SOON.

Directions were clear. Close to Athens. Very communicative with questions/messages. Helpful to have a headlamp or flashlight for night to find your way. Clean linens.

This is such a fun getaway, especially with kids. My kids really enjoyed the pond and hot tub. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a short stay and the attention to detail really showed. I would 100% recommend. 😊

Weekend Trip to Pop's Place Camping

The Bear Cabin was superb. Very comfortable, they had already set the AC before we got there. They had firewood available, if we wanted it. This is our second time here and the owners are amazingly friendly and helpful.

Weekend Trip to Woody Acres

We had an amazing stay at Woody Acres. We stayed in the Hickory Hut while our friends stayed in the Peppermint Patty Wagon, and both accommodations were thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. From comfortable bedding and extra linens to cooking supplies, serving ware, and other little incidentals, it was clear the hosts put a lot of care into anticipating guests' needs. The property is absolutely beautiful and truly feels like an immersive nature retreat. The nature-inspired décor is intentionally curated, with so many personal touches that make each space feel warm and unique. We also appreciated that Woody Acres is dog-friendly, making it easy to bring our pups along for the adventure. Kate and Austin were wonderful hosts—kind, communicative, and available whenever we needed them while still giving guests plenty of privacy. One of the highlights of our trip was joining them for a plant identification walk. It was incredibly informative, engaging, and gave us an even greater appreciation for the property and the surrounding landscape. The mowed walking trails throughout the property were perfect for exploring, and the beautifully landscaped sites offer plenty of privacy between campers. The outdoor composting toilet and shower were both very clean and only a short walk from our hut. We also loved how close Woody Acres is to the Hocking Hills attractions, making it easy to enjoy the area's hiking options.

4 nights at Birdhouse Farm Camp And Cabin

My wife and I returned from July 22–26, 2026, and once again had an absolutely wonderful experience. The pond-side A-frame cabin and surrounding campsite are truly special. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature. The cabin offers the perfect balance of comfortable camping and an authentic outdoor experience, especially with the screened opening that lets you enjoy the fresh air and nighttime sounds without dealing with the bugs. Jenny and Logan are exceptional hosts. They are friendly, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely want their guests to have a great stay. Their hospitality is one of the biggest reasons this place stands out. They are always available when needed and make you feel completely welcome from the moment you arrive. The entire site is clean, organized, and thoughtfully arranged. It is obvious how much work and care they have put into the cabin, campsite, farm, and surrounding land. This is the kind of place where you can truly slow down, unwind, and enjoy time together. We loved our stay and will absolutely return again. Jenny and Logan, you continue to impress us—y’all rock! We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable camping getaway.
