This tiny (about 150 sq feet) eco cabin is nestled in the hills and hollows of Meigs County Ohio on 6.6 secluded acres of mostly wooded land on a private, dead end gravel lane. A superb place to bird watch, identify native plants and trees, and stargaze as the cabin is located in one of the darkest places in Ohio. Also on the property is a 16x20 camping/activities platform for your enjoyment. Amazing location, definitely off the beaten track. Loved the privacy, the scenic oasis and the trails along the river/creek. Our dog Gemma, loved to run free on her walks with her owners, including the rail trail. The colors of autumn were such an enjoyable treat from this location. If you’re in the area, it’s a gem!

What an awesome site! Especially if you’re into biking. The Moonville Rail Trail is just a stones throw away. The campsite has a maze of awesome clover paved walking trails. Great for walking your dog! Location is an easy walk to the Kings Hollow Tunnel and an easy bike ride to the Moonville Tunnel.

We loved our stay at the A-Frame. It was more secluded than expected which was nice. It is about 1/4 mile from where you park. Logan will help you haul your stuff in his Gator which was super helpful when we were leaving in the rain. We had a peaceful stay and explored Lake Hope State Park, dined at Pleasant Hill Winery, and enjoyed Jennifer's delicious homemade and locally sourced breakfast burritos.

The land was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed one night as a quick stop on a longer trip. Jennifer was very sweet and had the site prepped with water and fire wood for us. the bathroom was clean. The pond was my favorite part.

The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, and the host went above and beyond by providing plenty of fresh drinking water and campfire wood. Absolutely loved the little A frame cabin. So cute and cozy! There was a 5 gallon jug of water and bundles of wood (1 is included, more can be purchased!) waiting for us at camp. It was a short, but beautiful, hike to the cabin. We didn't use the outdoor shower but we did check it out - its heated! The outhouse was close to camp, that was nice. My husband loved fishing in the pond. My dog had a blast - lots of wildlife to watch and she was so curious about the goats 😂 we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our night staying at Ramp Camp! It’s a short hike to the site and a little further to the outhouse (you’ll have to walk uphill then back downhill). If you’re in a hurry to poop, no you’re not! We appreciated the outdoor shower to rinse away the day. Lots of farm animals to enjoy- goats, chickens, cats and dogs! Jennifer and Logan were very welcoming and friendly.

Our family had an amazing stay at Jellystone Park in Nelsonville. We close to the caves, the kids had endless things to do, the floating obstacle course and bounce float at the take were so much fun. The and beach area is beautiful and the pool was phenomenal! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Weekend Trip to Birdhouse Farm Camp And Cabin

We loved the pond side cabin due to the privacy, beauty of the land and comfort of the adorable a-frame. During the peak heat of the day, the a-frame's pull-out hatch provided shade and easy-to-hang mosquito netting provided protection from insects. The pond was a magical setting with a canoe and fishing gear available. The trails were marked and mowed and really enjoyable to hike. We especially enjoyed the climb of the Pawpaw trail. The outhouse was close-by. We did not use the shower but liked knowing it was there. It rained the second morning and the hatch kept everything dry while allowing us to enjoy the rainfall from the comfort of bed. It's a relatively easy hike to and from the campsite and it's quite picturesque past the farm and through the trails. Highlights included the cutest and friendliest campsite cat and delicious breakfast burritos prepared by Jennifer and delivered right on time to our cabin. We highly recommend this beautiful place for a getaway which is conveniently located near Strouds Run (which we visited for hiking) and Athens (which we visited for Whit's custard).

I highly recommend staying with Jennifer !! The Pond Side Cabin was absolutely beautiful and lovely. The hosts were very courteous and hospitable. The campsite itself was very private, and the versatility of being able to open/close the side of the cabin allowed for very fun and immersive nights. The food Jennifer cooked for us was professional grade and knocked out any expectations I could have had out of the park. Overall I highly recommend this campsite and I will be returning!

Weekend Trip to Butterfly Valley at Zaleski

I enjoyed the semi-secluded location of this campsite but also felt a bit exposed to those that did pass by—walking on the rail trail or tearing up the gravel roads late at night… The grounds were spacious, clean and mostly level and the firewood provided ($5/bundle) burned nicely. No water, but I brought my own and electricity was a plus (once I realized the main breaker had not been turned on). Be aware that you will need to back in if your power cord is on the driver’s side of your camper, unless it’s small enough to turn around. Also, the grass was mowed the day after I arrived, while I was gone and my privacy tent was apparently in the way. It would have been nice to have that done prior to check-in time, but it was nice to have mowed grass at least. Overall it was a nice, peaceful stay, and a wonderful place to explore. The host was very helpful and accommodating and quick to respond.

I booked this spot for myself and a few family members and WOW WHAT A PLACE! The site is perfect and wild, yet well cared for. Paths were mowed so we could explore the land, the creek was full and I got my new paddle board out to play, there is a shaded area in the back where my sister set up her tent and we even used a tree swing hook to make a tree swing with a hammock. Even with some rain and wind, we had so much fun and will be back. This is a family favorite for sure.
