Nestled under a pine forest, Camp KaRuGa is a campground with cabins and campsites near the Blue Ridge Parkway and the New River. Beautiful creek side campsites and primitive cabins each with its own picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate. Camp Karuga offers 1 fully equipped bath house with hot/cold water, electricity and charging stations as well as a family/handicapped bath house. Enjoy the following on-site amenities during your stay in the coolest corner of North Carolina. On-site hiking trails, a pavilion with scenic pond for floating, and a community fire pit. We offer a kayak float from our campground on the New River $60 per person. We also, offer on-site guided horse trail rides through our sister business One More? Trail Riding Stable. Call 828-295-2274 for reservations. The tiny cabins can only accommodate 2 adults and 2 children maximum occupancy. If your family is larger than that, please contact us or the booking site to make additional arrangements. Each cabin is generously spaced from the others for a pleasant heir of privacy. Tent sites are also spaced apart with your privacy in mind. Ashe County is offers something for everyone. Beautiful hiking trails are as close or as far as you want to drive to get there. Downtown offers an experience in walking back in time with a small town feel that is unmatched. Delicious eating experiences are available from country cooking to fine dining. Camp Karuga is also perfectly situated for traveling to Boone, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk without the exhaustion of a long drive. There is so many wonderful experiences around Camp Karuga that it will be hard to choose from. The yurt is 15 mins from Mt Airy NC which is a destination for outdoors activities, wineries, breweries, and has a gorgeous downtown area. Fancy Gap is famous for the BRPW, hiking, mountain biking, and all types of outdoor activities. Mother Earth has a walk in shower, soaking tub, bluetooth music, wifi, and a hot tub. a full kitchen and washer and dryer. I provide all your paper products, coffees, creamer, sugar, shower products and more. it’s in a wooded area with nice views and wildlife in abundance. This yurt is comfortable all year long with a minisplit for heat and air conditioning, and a propane fireplace. This yurt has easy access and parking right in front. The deck is gated for toddlers and pets. Our pet fee is an additional $25 left on the counter.

Our beautiful, 13-acre property is the perfect mixture of woods and grassland fields, both with several walking trails to stroll around. When I moved my family of 7 here from n.e. Ohio 11 years ago we didnt know anyone at all. I am a people person, I love music and I was determined to meet some new friends. So, i decided to build a fire pit and a makeshift stage and have a party! This party was called, Friend Fest, A reason to gather and celebrate the gift of friendship. Our motto: Come as strangers, leave as friends. We were on our 9th Friend Fest until Covid. Over the last few years we have added more amenities to the property. Disc golf, Walking/ hiking trails, fishing, baseball diamond, bonfire pit, 10x14 covered stage, swimming pool, primitive glamping cabin. We also host Nature Education classes on the property. We continue to use our property for good by bringing people together and enjoying life, friends and music. Learn more about this land: Cabin: $60, Enjoy a walk through our many trails. A fishing pond is right through the woods in easy walking distance. Hanging Rock State park, NC. is a 20 minute drive away! Relax and comfortably sleep in our roll away, twin bed in the yard under the stars of the Blue Ridge mtns. or in the cabin. Drift asleep to the sounds of nature. Before you say goodnight, enjoy your dinner and smores over the firepit, (free wood) We have a 14X16 covered stage for entertainment, a 10X10 firepit with surrounding benches. The entire entertainment area and campground sits away from any houses in complete privacy from any neighbors. The cabin and campground is 450 feet away from the house. Both are locked off from the main barn structure to allow use when no events are scheduled, and have separate private keyed access, and include streaming TV, a 2-top burner, mini-fridge, and fold-down small full sofa bed for 2 (larger people may need to bring a blow-up mattress/pad for more room to spread out!). There is a men's and women's bathroom with 2 stalls joining the barn and accessed from the outside, along with 2 outdoor showers for longer stays. Propane, on-demand hot water is provided. The other structure that can be rented is the pond pavilion (an additional guest fee is charged over 4 people to accommodate) that features 2 full-size outdoor mattresses, a camping stove, chairs, and large firepit and firecircle. Property is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile post 182. Access is direct from Parkway where a 1/4 mile gravel road leads to a private retreat. Property is on 21 acres. Three buildings: cabin, meditation studio , and outside storage area. Other amenities: outdoor cooking area, outdoor shower, healing spring, bridges, 3 ponds, creeks, and covered picnic area. Very Private - Free your Body of Society Blunders The cabin is 1600 sqft - 3 bedrooms and full bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower. Meditation studio 600 sqft. Cabin has been restored with all modern amenities including - Jenn Air down draft gas range, all new appliances, all new cook and eating ware, and all new mattresses. About (50) fifty yards from the cabin is a fire pit designed and equipped for outdoor cooking. Located nearby is fire wood and all the essential cookware for preparing an outdoor meal. The grill for cooking was custom made from the highest quality stainless steel used in most modern restaurants. There is a wagon under the storage area for transporting food and dishes to the fire and back. Folding tables and chairs are also included. All you need to do is bring dinner ready to cook. About (200) two hundred yards from the cabin is a Meditation Studio. A bridge crossing is used to get from the cabin to the studio. The mediation studio was built to provide an optimum atmosphere for reading, listening to music, conversation, and just pure relaxation. Due to remoteness of the studio, the building is solar powered. The studio is a perfect setting for enjoying peace and quiet - hence it is called the meditation studio. There are large porches at the cabin and the studio. There is also plenty of outdoor storage for bikes or any other recreation equipment. All the rooms are complete with pillows, bedsheets, and blankets. Many of the typical household necessities are available. Kitchen is fully stocked with crooked pot, rice maker, and Belgium waffle maker. If there are any special requirements or questions please contact owner. Guest access Digital lock. Flashlights are available inside the cabin. It is highly recommended to bring a flashlight when you arrive.

So fun! Very responsive hosts and we had the place to ourselves. The movie night was magical and we had a lot of fun lounging in hammocks, exploring the campsites and playing board games at the picnic table. The rustic tent was comfortable and the shower was nice! They could use some new table umbrellas, and the walk to the porta potty might not be great for someone with more limited mobility, but we were fine! The place would be great for a small group to enjoy together as the picnic table and fire pit are near a nice sized field in between the tipis and the campsites.

We had a great time although we picked a "weather challenged" weekend to visit. Diane kindly offered us the small cabin instead of the dome since it was roomier and there was a high possibility of severe thunderstorms overnight. The creek was absolutely beautiful and full of skipping stones. Their dog, Bug (I think that was his name) was sweet and welcoming! My daughter's and I look forward to coming back on a less rainy and warmer weekend to explore the creek a little better!

What an amazing site and hospitality at its finest! It was great to let the dogs swim in the river. It was a little too cold for me when I visited in February but I will definitely be back in the warmer months. I had a camper but had a tour of the camp and all the sites were very cute. A beautiful back road mountain drive to Boone with plenty of hiking and a mtn bike park in the area.

A very cool experience! The teepee was comfortable. Had electricity- which we didn’t realize we’ll have.. or we would have delight a heater since it got really cold at night. The gas fireplace made it to a very nice atmosphere in the evening to lay in bed and read and sing with the kids.

We loved Bentleys Bunk on Jeremy’s land! The fall leaves were beautiful, the campfire was peaceful, and my dogs loved exploring! There was another site nearby, but it was still secluded and private. The directions to get there were clear and Jeremy was kind and checked in on us. He even helped us with the heater. Would recommend for a quiet getaway.

Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat is a small slice of paradise in Mocksville NC. We are the last property at the end of a dirt road surrounded by woods on all sides. We built this space as our little stay-cation spot and knew we had to share it. We are passionate about what we do and work hard to continue to build and grow and share this beautiful space for others to enjoy. We have 3 primitive sites and 2 authentic tee-pees. There is a bath house with a heated shower, and a port-a-john that is cleaned regularly. There are 2 picnic areas with charcoal grills. We have a 24x16 enclosed stage that can be used for bands, educational classes, karaoke, yoga... ect. There is also an outdoor movie theater that is available to rent for an evening. There are a few restaurants close by and we are only 6 miles from downtown Mocksville. There are a lot of wineries and breweries within a 30 min drive from our property. We are about 15 minutes from river access to the Yadkin river for anyone looking to Kayak. There are lots of local fishing holes and places to go horseback riding. We are about an hour drive to lots of different hiking trails from pilot mountain, and hanging rock to the blue ridge parkway. We have 2 dogs that live here and will greet you at the gate. Please be respectful of the neighbors and drive slowly down the dirt road to our property to limit dust. We look forward to hosting your camping get away.
