During your stay at our farm, guests can unwind amidst natural surroundings, visit with our animals, enjoy on farm activities and explore the wide variety of local attractions that the surrounding area has to offer.
Just 30 minutes west, you’ll find the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kerr Scott Lake is only 10 minutes away, where you can swim, rent kayaks and pontoon boats, fish, or enjoy mountain biking and hiking on extensive trails. Prayer Mountain is about 2 miles up the road.
To the east, explore several wineries and a local moonshine distillery. A half-hour away, visit the Amish community with shops like Shiloh Bakery and General Store (closed Sundays and Mondays).
For fantastic hiking, head northeast to Stone Mountain, about 45 minutes away, which also features a renovated homestead. To the south, Rocky Face Park offers hiking and rock climbing, while Emerald Hollow Mine allows you to search for and keep precious stones.

The Firefly is nestled between trees, on a loud, rushing creek, on a five acre property that is mostly cleared and on a hard surface dead end rd, a few miles from Hillsville, Va. The firefly is comfortable for a small family or a romantic get away for couples. Absolutely loved staying here! Will definitely return one day. The site was right on the river and we were able to jump on in with our floats and fish off the bank. John was super helpful during our entire stay. Highly recommend the tent that John provides— it had a full sized memory foam mattress, couch and a ton of space to store all of our camping gear. It was my 9 year old daughter’s first time camping and she didn’t want to leave!

We loved staying in the Rivernest cabin in the treetops! From the deck we had a view of both the Yadkin River below and Pilot Mountain across the valley—truly breathtaking. The bed and soft seating were comfortable, and the kitchenette was well equipped for our long weekend of glamping. We added on a dozen eggs fresh from the onsite henhouse, and they were delicious! We enjoyed walking the many trails and hanging out at the river access on site. And we enjoyed meeting Christine who is a kind and friendly host. We look forward to returning—maybe for blackberry picking season!

Christine's home is absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking and the hikes down to the water were a delight! It had everything we needed and she even stopped over the first night to make sure we settled in. The directions were spot on, definitely follow them. Absolutely amazing! Had everything we needed and nothing we didnt for some simple primitive camping in a cabin. Fair warning my lil Toyota Corolla did have trouble going up the gravel driveway (entirely my fault, just realized after getting home my tires are almost bald and have no tread/traction) but Darin & Beth were incredibly helpful and were kind enough to assist us and was still able to make it to the cabin 😊 cannot state enough how magical this place is, it was so quiet and peaceful. Thanks Darin & Beth for your kindness and awesome hospitality, cannot wait to go back! 🫶🏼🏕️🔥

Great spot! Just needed one night and didn’t want to go the traditional hotel route. Directions were on point, space was as described and it was a peaceful small getaway. The tent has plenty of room, heat options/fan options and ventilation. Owner was super communicative with solid suggestions of the community. Book and enjoy with confidence!!

Weekend Trip to Marshall Creek Farm
Darin and Beth didn’t miss a thing planning this hilltop cabin. The gravel driveway is steep but we had no issue climbing up to the site in a Ford Transit 250 2wd loaded heavy. Our height clearance is 9’9”. All we can say is it was a super well thought out layout and includes just enough to simply pull up and start camping in minutes. Lots of extras to discover as well. Our dog loved it. We camped at end of March so trees were still bare and the night sky was visible.

My puppy and I LOVED the treehouse! It was cozy, quiet, & had just about everything you could need for a trip. There were dog treats, doggy shampoo, & a doggy towel which was awesome after spending the day on the trails. The property & the views were so beautiful and Christine was such a pleasant host. She made us feel right at home. 11/10 would recommend. I will definitely be taking another trip here during blackberry season!

Beautiful place to spend the night. I really enjoyed the bed, it’s super comfy!
It’s quiet and lots of stars. The bathroom was clean and cabin was very clean. Cabin is beautifully decorated. They even had small fridge with some waters. Very nice location near vineyards and not too far from town.
My only recommendation would be to add full length curtains for privacy and to keep sun out in morning. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Beautiful property with variety of farm animals and endless relaxation at your fingertips! The cabin is not too far from the host’s home but feels secluded at the same time. They offer as much privacy as you would like while also being readily available to assist. Amazing garden with herbs and nuts to share! They even came out one evening to introduce us to their baby ducks and chickens. Outhouse is clean and well stocked. Absolutely loved cooking on the old stove! Highly recommend this spot! Camp site also looked amazing :)

What a wonderful stay at Christine’s treehouse! She has truly thought of everything to make this the perfectly cozy and relaxing stay. It has everything you need. The place is beautifully decorated and I felt like I was in a cozy artist’s studio. Even though the nights during our stay were cold, we were very warm and comfortable inside the treehouse with the heaters doing a great job. The views of the river from the treehouse is gorgeous and being able to open both garage doors to let the fresh air in really merged the outside freshness with the indoor relaxation. Christine’s property is also super cool! She has miles of hiking trails available and has stand up paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes available to use! There were even doggie life jackets! The treehouse is also only 45 minutes from Winston-Salem and the perfect weekend getaway. This is a stay we’d absolutely love to do again! (Also, make sure to follow the directions and NOT plug the treehouse address into Google Maps because that may lead you somewhere quite different).

Weekend Trip to Glamping At Fall Creek Retreats
Wow, what a gem this place is. My girlfriend and I were fortunate to be the only ones staying last weekend, it was absolutely tranquil. We stayed in the geodome. Being right on the creek, away from everyone and everything, and still having WiFi to share pics with friends and family made it that much better. We stayed for two nights, checked out and made it to Boone in just 25 minutes to start our adventure down the mountain. Paul was quick to message back when we couldn’t figure out the WiFi password, and checked on us during our stay. Safe to say we would highly recommended this spot!
