This property is 180 acres of woods and mountains with streams and ponds. Beautiful settings. If you like hiking in the mountains this will definitely hit the spot. You can fish in the ponds it has blue gills and catfish. I also added grass carp there as part of weed management. This used to be an abandoned farm which I want to bring back to life. The site offers three luxury large Safari Style Tents that are all separate and private. This is not a KOA style of camping where everyone is on top of each other. All tents are far away from each other to provide privacy and freedom of going Wild (still remaining civilized in your manners and careful attitude to Nature around you). Tent 1 is in the Forrest itself and it is pretty cool and serene. Tent 2 is on the top of a rocky hill overlooking the forest. Tent 3 is the most remote and closest to the ponds. It has most of the open space around it, and can be a great place for parties. We are working on making the sites and the area more comfortable, but I do not want to make it a manicured park. I want it to remain wild and still offer comfortable stay. The farm is work in progress. The closest town - Lenoir is about 12 miles away . Closest Grocery store (Dollar General) - about 3 miles away. Closest Gas station - 2 miles away. Professional Tennis court, Basketball court and large kids playground are in a public park within - 5 minute drive. Lenoir has restaurants, shopping, etc. Hickory is a larger town about 25 minutes drive. Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with marina where you can rent a boat and it also offers a good game fishing. Nice swimming beach access on Lake Hickory 13 miles ( 20 Minutes) from here: Lake Hickory Wittenburg access area (Wittenburg Access Area, 175 Wildlife Access Rd, Hickory, NC 28601) Asheville is 1:25 hrs to the West, Charlotte is 1:25 hr to the East. There are couple of Ski resorts 45 minutes to an hr away.

Sites area cleared flat area in the woods on a hill. Very private. At the same time there is space for games and tent. It is "unimproved " land. Bring whatever you need and take back everything you brought in. Toilet is a bucket with Plastic bag. We can provide the backet and the bag. There sre 10 sites available for setting up your tent. We also have tents for rent and can set it up for you . Tent rent is $35 .

This Tent is located in the most charming place. My favorite place. The tent is sitting at the edge of a sunny meadow. Surrounded by forest. A picturesque path leads on the top of the ridge to the ponds nearby. The Location is the most remote from everything. And there is enough space to set additional tents or have a nice birthday party. The toilet is a privy. Outhouse. We provide some starter firewood, but there is plenty more in the forest. if you think there is not enough firewood in the forest - more can be purchased at the barn. This Tent has solar power, that would allow you to charge your devices, run a fan, a light. There is a medium size refrigerator and an electric cooktop. There is a comfortable queen size bed and two cots. There is a badminton court with a net, or you can play volleyball. There is a picnic table, hammock, grill everything you need for an active and enjoyable vacation. Note that there is no potable water at the site. There is a barrel with Sky Water to put out fire. It is not for drinking or cooking.

This Tent 2 is called “King of the Mountain”, because it is placed at the top of the rocky hill, that I call “A killer’s hill” because only a tough off road vehicle can make it up that hill. The prize for making it up the hill is a front row parking. If you have a regular car you can park at the bottom of the hill. Just a short walk up the hill and you will see a beautiful tent with a cozy campground with flowering Mountain Laurel and a carpet of wildflowers on the hill slope. The mountain view that opens up from the deck make you feel like “the world is yours”. There are no other tents or houses that you can see around you. This place is just for you, your friends and family. The Tent itself is a large luxury Tent that has a queen size bed with comfortable mattress and two cots This tent has Solar power, so you can charge your devices. There is a fridge, induction cooktop, lamp. There is a deck facing the view, where you can sit and watch the clouds go by. Off the deck there is a large picnic area with fire pit and picnic table. There is a single person hammock fitted in the middle of tree bunch. There is also a large hammock, from which you can supervise your kids or husband and tell them what to do, while trying to keep a delicate balance (on the hammock). The toilet is behind the Tent. We provide some starter firewood, but there is plenty more in the forest. if you think there is not enough firewood in the forest - more can be purchased at the barn. Besides the Tent itself you have 180 acres of land to roam around. Hiking trails, Fishing pond. Mountain views. The civilization in the form of the town of Lenoir is about 11 miles away. There you can find all regular brand shops, fast food, restaurants etc. The town of Hickory offers more choices and also a very large lake with several marinas, where you can get a boat. There is a Tennis court in a community park about 5 -8 minutes away by car. Asheville is about 1.5 hr away to the West and Charlotte is about 1.5 hr away to the East. The nearest airport is Concord Regional Airport, 115 km from the accommodation.

Tent for rest in the forest. Private Luxury tent in the woods. Tent1. The Tent 1 located on top of the mountain, deep in the forest and surrounded by mature trees. When you are there, it feels like you are in a magic forest far away from everything, yet it is pretty short walk to the driveway. To get to the Tent you need to drive along the private drive way and park at the edge of the field. Then there is a short walk from that parking spot to the tent probably 300 -400 feet up a gentle hill. We just cut a new road, so you can drive right up to the Tent. It is possible to drive directly to the Tent 1 and park right there. While the road is fresh it could be soft and dusty. Regular 2 wheel drive vehicle might not make it. The toilet is an outhouse privy. We provide some starter firewood, but there is plenty more in the forest. if you think there is not enough firewood in the forest - more can be purchased at the barn. There is no potable water at the tent. There is a barrel of SkyWater, that you can use to put out campfire.

My preteen boys said this was the most fun camping trip they’ve been on (we camp a lot!) The area is secluded and beautiful, there was a canoe for fishing by the pond and we caught fish! Adli was an amazing host and we will definitely be back.

Pioneer Wagon Settlement - Wagon 3
Highly recommend staying in one of the wagons!! Such a cute and beautiful scenery! Individual picnic tables and fire pits along with one major fire pit for group events! The host was extremely quick with responses and understanding and helpful!

Such a a Cool spot! Adil provided So many awesome helpful ways to ease the stay including chairs, hammock, grill, camping and fire supplies! The hike to tent from car parking was tough on my 4 year old but the tent was super secluded and peaceful so hence the walk. We tried to fish in the pond-caught a sunny first cast then nothing else but property is beautiful and if kids were more patient we could have fished longer. Cutting down some spots along water would be helpful for fishing. Had a great stay! Thanks again!

Had such an amazing time on our recent gambling trip! The wagon tent made the journey itself feel special – it had everything we needed: comfy air conditioning, a handy fridge, and cozy lights that made the space feel so warm and inviting. The view along the way was stunning too – rolling hills, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

Tent 1 - Forrest Cump.
It was beautiful and accurate to the description. Definitely allowed us to connect with nature while still having some comforts. The only things that we can complain about is that tent 1 has a broken zipper along half of the entire length of the entrance. This can be a safety issue as well as allowing bugs in. Also, only half the string lights worked, and the ones that did flashed constantly the entire night, illuminating the tent even with the window flaps closed. These are two minor fixes that could make the place not only a better, safer stay, but a 10 out of 10 in our opinion.

I loved car camping on Adil's property!! I was originally supposed to be camping in his primitive area which is a rocky road to get there then it is not just no water, no electricity primitive it is like forge your own path primitive!! So I said to myself, I am not staying up here, I didn't feel comfortable especially by myself (the first night) and there was really no clear flat areas to set up a tent or park a car. It looked like he was just starting the primitive sites, small cleared out areas, trees cut down with stumps still there, very tall grass......definitely would never stay up there with kids!! Having said all that, Adil was nice enough to let me park in his wagon camp since nobody else was staying there which was very neat and nice, potable water in barrels, electric in the wagons with coffee pot and toaster. There is a cute rustic outhouse, nice touch to go along with the experience! We definitely hope to come back for a 2nd stay in his wagons!! Thank you so much, Adil!!

Great spot in the mountains. The wagon was clean, comfy and lovely. We will definitely be back. If you like novelty, get over to Lenoir and stay in a pioneer wagon!

Everything was perfect, Adil's setup included everything we needed and some things we wouldn't have thought of. We loved the area, and the kids had fun with the canoe. We'll be going back and would recommend this site to anyone.

Tent 1 - Forrest Cump.
Tent 1 was a breath of fresh air for first time campers like my partner & I! The tent was big with a queen size bed, a shelf on the inside, multiple window flaps, a big deck & multiple chairs. Having a bathroom, sink, & shower accessible made our stay a lot smoother! There was a broom and dust pan that helped sweep away the crazy amount of stink bugs (the bugs didn’t bother us in the slightest). The string lights made the ambiance romantic (which was perfect for our occasion). Firewood is provided that was tucked close to the tent just in case it rains (it did rain). Having a grill and fire pit all ready to go made preparing food and roasting marshmallows all the more enjoyable! Adil responded to all my questions in a timely manner, which was appreciated! The hike that’s described, in our opinion was not bad at all. Would recommend bringing a wagon if you plan to bring quite a bit necessities like we did lol. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Great place to camp!
Tent 2 King of the Mountain Camping
We were very pleased with our stay in Tent 2. The walk up the rocky hill to the tent was easy and our 4 wheel drive made it to the tent with ease. The non 4 wheel drive suv we parked at the bottom of the hill. Brand new queen bed was so comfortable. Great communication with the host. We brought a generator and didn’t even use it much. Using a down comforter kept us very comfortable. It was very quiet and private. This is a great balance of real camping and glamping. The cold shower was definitely refreshing to say the least. They are planning solar electric to this site. Next time I will bring my camping bag shower and just fill with hot water and hang in the shower. 3 camping chairs and a picnic table, fire pit with grill and a coal burning grill is supplied. We will definitely return. Tent 3 is just as nice if you don’t want to walk up a hill to your tent. However the view was well worth it. Definitely check out the other sites and the covered wagons they were very impressive.

This place was awesome! A taste of off-grid living truly. So much more than typical tent camping. They really have thought of everything! When we were there, they had 3 cots and a queen bed in the tent as well as some camping chairs. There was a sink, shower, toilets, drinking water, picnic type table, grill, lights, fire pit and fire cooking grates and hook.... The only thing is the "gentle hill" is not a gentle hill but a short hike up a mountain! We would come back but park closer.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tent 3. We were surprised when we arrived and there was electricity! We could charge our phones/speakers. The trees blocked us from the extreme heat. There was a Queen size bed already in there and Adil provided 4 more cots for our use. We will absolutely be back !

The wagons were so cute! Rustic/fun feel, perfect for kids. Very primitive, be prepared for that, but otherwise was a great in between living indoors and tent camping.

The tent cabin was very well built and the location was secluded-- perfect! Our kids loved playing around the area. There was also a nice hammock. The owner provided cots for free and pillows and sleeping bags for a small fee. The hospitality that the owner provided was beyond amazing. I would definitely recommend this place!
