Angela and Jesse have built such a beautiful home and sanctuary for some amazing animals, including the sweetest duo Moonpie and Ziggy. Their property is a paradise for dogs, with rolling hills, numerous trails, and a lovely river for splashing and swimming. The tiny house itself was better appointed than 80% of the hotels we’ve stayed in. Just pack food and clothes - they’ve got the rest covered! Make sure you leave time in the itinerary to check out their restaurant Happy Valley Filling Station, for some delicious wood fired pizza, extensive beer menu, and the friendliest community vibes. We can’t wait to be back!

Amazing place! Exceeded our expectations, they had anything you could need covered. Our dog loved playing with the host pups, there is an amazing water fall hike right outside the door, sauna was the best add on, just all around perfect. Plus great wifi, comfy beds, cozy wood stove, games book & puzzles so you can be as connected or disconnected as you like. We will definitely be back, 10/10!

Camping with walls! It’s an unfinished tiny cabin rental on almost 12 acres situated very closely to the blue ridge parkway. Air mattress included however you are responsible for all of your pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, Check the weather forecast and pack more than you think you’re going to need. It gets very cold quickly up here on the top of the mountain! If you hike to the top you’ll see 360° views. Access to the nicely sized Reddies Creek at the bottom of the same mountain. Hammocks placed along trails, side by side rental add on available as well as an 8 person tent with its own air mattresses add on is also available. , one small grill, fire pits, fishing/swimming hole, and small waterfalls. You’re welcomed to bring your own additional tent for more space at no additional charge. Max 8 people total. Main cabin is under construction, and NOT currently for rent. There is a very rugged outdoor shower, but no running water. (Currently just a large backpack sprayer.) Riverview Treehouse

The cabin is ~20 ft from the back corner of our house on a slope overlooking the North Fork of the New River. It is built on stilts next to a tree giving it a treehouse feel. You’ll have your own access to our side yard gate on natural stone steps. From the gate, there is a short staircase to the 8 X 10 front deck, partially enclosed for privacy. You may encounter our us, our small dogs or cats or us as you pass through the yard. The cabin is 10’ X 12’ with a small kitchen, sitting area, and sleeping area. The outhouse, with a composting toilet, a shower, and hot running water, is accessed through the 8’ x 6’ secluded back deck. The kitchen area consists of a sink, 2 burner hot plate, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and mini fridge. There is a one-lane dirt lane easement just below the cabin that you’ll cross to access the riverfront. A few cars will pass by daily but most of the time it the lane is very quiet. The lane continues along the river for about 1 mile before it becomes paved, making for a lovely peaceful walk. You’ll have unlimited access to the river and riverfront lawn with seating and a firepit. The river is ideal for fly fishing for Brook, Rainbow and Brown Trout. This section of the river is regulated as “wild” public mountain trout water (open year-round, single hook artificial lures only, minimum size 7 inches, daily limit 4 fish). Kayaks and bikes are available for your use. The cabin is a 45-minute float upstream or downstream of two access points. 🐶 Pets are accepted on a case by case basis! Numerous large manicured campsites in an open space DIRECTLY ON THE NEW RIVER where adventures abound! Up to 4 guests and 2 tents per site. Newly constructed tiny home provides GLAMPING at its finest! The Liberty cabin shares a space with a few tent sites along the river. With the addition of Liberty, I have limited the number of campers to 4. (Exceptions may be made for holiday weekends). There is plenty of space for everyone and the cabin sits above the tent sites for amazing views and privacy. While HWY 16 can be a bit noisy during busy times, step into the campsites and let the peaceful noise-canceling river serenity whisk you away. Forest views across the river with endless fireflies and stars that light up the night! Zaloo's Canoes, Kayak, and Tubes is within eyesight and will set you up with an amazing float or paddle down river. Plentiful small mouth bass and trout fishing just steps from your site. Outhouse w/washing station. Fire pits at each site as well as a large communal fire pit and picnic tables. Downtown West Jefferson is just 15 minutes away with local breweries, quaint restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, shopping, music, art, and a wonderful farmer's market from May - October. The quaint little town of Lansing, NC is quickly becoming a favorite stop of mine. Check out the Old Orchard Creek General Store, Pie on the Mountain Pizza, the Old Orchard Creek Blueberry Farm, and Molly Chomper for a perfect day in Ashe County. The New River State Park is an easy walk, float, paddle or drive away. This park is absolutely GORGEOUS and impeccably maintained, including hiking trails, public facilities, showers, boat launch and pick up, etc. Just a short drive to multiple Blue Ridge Parkway entry points for ease of access to Boone, Appalachian State University, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, and the Linville Gorge. Mount Jefferson and Grayson Highlands are also just a short drive away for unlimited hiking and incredible mountain views. My personal favorite is hiking with the wild ponies at Grayson Highlands! We have Firewood available for a nominal fee. Just let us know and we will make arrangements to have it ready for you upon arrival. Please respect quiet hours between 10 PM and 8 AM each evening.

Mila’s Bunny Farm

Nice secluded tent campsite on an angora bunny farm. Listen to the sound of the mountain creek while you sleep, and cuddle with bunnies by the running water wheel during the day. Very relaxing spot to decompress and unplug on 7 acres that are mostly wooded. Pisgah National Forest is just two miles away with plenty of hiking to explore. The charming town of Burnsville is just 10 miles on a beautiful, scenic highway. Homeplace Brewery, Birdfoot Taproom, and Snapdragon are among the local spots to visit. Asheville is also nearby at just under an hour’s drive. The trail entrance to Big Butt is a couple miles away with a few great overlook points. If you want to do the whole 24 mile length of the trail (featuring 5 mountain peaks above 6,000ft), I can make shuttle arrangements for your party to be picked up at the end. Navitat Ziplining is very close, as well as gorgeous flower farms and Mountain Light Sanctuary to visit over in Barnardsville. Come enjoy our mountain community!

Wiseman Ridge is a boutique micro campground for RVs only, first opened in July of 2022. Our property adjoins the Blue Ridge Parkway in Linville Falls NC with easy access off NC 221. We offer 5 full hook up RV sites with views of Hawksbill, Table Rock and Humpback Mountains. Micro means we have only a handful of sites but that is where micro ends. Each site is expansive, with large areas to spread out and enjoy the views or play yard games. Unlike typical RV parks our sites are spread out on the ridge top and offer great views and lots of space. Our campground offers a unique camping experience for the RV and outdoors enthusiast. All of our RV sites feature views of the surrounding peaks and have full hook ups with, water, septic and 30 or 50 amp power access, high speed wi-fi access at each site as well as a picnic table and in ground fire pits. Wiseman Ridge provides the peace and quiet of nature at its finest, with easy direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot or by road. We are just a mile down the parkway from the entrance to the Linville Falls parking lot and picnic area, and 2 miles from Kistler Memorial Highway (Old NC 105) that provides access to the western rim of Linville Gorge and multiple trailheads. Our campground is for conventional travel trailers and motorhomes only. We do not have bathroom or bathhouse facilities so we cannot allow campers that do not have a self contained bathroom that can hook up to a conventional RV sewer drain and no human waste is allowed in our trash receptacles. Our farm is named for its site on the South Toe river and this pristine and mighty river indeed showed us their power during Hurricane Helene. At this time, we will be closed for an indeterminate amount of time. The farm was completely flooded by Hurricane Helene September 27th, 2024. All the greenhouses, barns, and fields were impacted and destroyed. We hope to rebuild and open again some day, but the river is completely different and the riparian camping area is now a 30 foot wall of trees at this time. You must have a 4WD with high clearance to reach the site. Please list what vehicle/vehicles you will be taking to site when you are booking. There is no parking at the bottom or anywhere else - only at the sites. On foggy mornings, the mist rolls right over the ridge top. There are 2 sites on one acre so plenty of space for social distancing! Rocky Fork State Park Tn. is just a short drive away for some great additional hiking , swimming and fishing.
