This is our story , well I have this land its 6.43 acres . This is how it all started there was a hippie fest going on in town and it was posted on social media . Someone posted they were looking for a place to camp but they didnt have camping at the fairgrounds where the event was . So I messaged this person and said I have a big yard maybe they could camp here but I have no facilities water toilet etc. We spoke and the gentleman said he would like to do that him and his group . I have never done anything like this they paid me to stay ,but before I knew it I had 32 people coming here 2 pop up campers a 30 ft pull behind and 12 tents WOW . So of course I had to get the porta toilet thats how it ended up down there . The weather was threatening us so some people cancelled but in all we ended up with 16 people here it was a fun time for all . Thats when I decided to join hipcamp now we are on our hipcamp journey . My fiance Henry built a shelter and a rain barrel water isnt drinkable , as time goes on we will be cleaning out more of the land for more camp sites . Hope y'all come visit . UPDATES !!! I was just seven years old when we came to live here on the "farm" as I have called it all my life. It was loved by family until my fathers' passing 5 years ago. My husband Terry and I came back to the farm to be with my father in his final years. Terry and I have continued loving and caring for the land. This property backs to a 200 acre nature reserve and 600 acres of natural forest. It has a 30 foot creekside overlook and a beachfront at the creek. The is lots of nature to be heard and seen. We have resident foxes, a blue heron that frequents the pond, egrets, kingfisher, a bobcat, raccoons, crows, birds, fireflies, and (bear were seen last fall). Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat is a small slice of paradise in Mocksville NC. We are the last property at the end of a dirt road surrounded by woods on all sides. We built this space as our little stay-cation spot and knew we had to share it with fellow lovers of all things outdoors. We have 3 primitive sites and 1 authentic tee-pee. There is a bath house with a heated shower, and a port-a-john that is cleaned regularly. There are 2 picnic tables and a charcoal grill. We have a 24x16 enclosed stage that can be used for bands, educational classes, karaoke, yoga... ect. There is also an outdoor movie theater that we will occasionally play movies on for guests but it is also available to rent for an evening. There are a few restaurants close by. We are about a 5 minute drive to Lake Myers RV resort that has 2 Olympic size swimming pools. There are a lot of wineries and breweries within a 30 min drive from our property. We are also about 15 minutes from river access to the Yadkin river for anyone looking to Kayak. We have 2 dogs that live here and will greet you at the gate. Please be respectful of the neighbors and drive slowly down the dirt road to our property to limit dust. Gate code will be provided prior to guests arrival. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard. We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or dought conditions. Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival). Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs (American Viticultural Area). We're next door (3 miles) to Raffaldini and Piccione Vineyards. It is smack in the middle of Charlotte and Hickory! So you can enjoy the mountains or the city or both from ONE LOCATION!! We are within driving distance to Lowe's Motor speedway and very close to many race teams located in Mooresville. The downtown of Troutman is a short drive from your camp spot and there is a grocery store, drug store and many privately owned restaurants, including Italian, German and good old southern BBQ! There is an ice cream parlor too!! Another wonderful asset to Troutman is Daveste' Vineyard where there is live music often, and of course wine tastings! This beautiful vineyard is less than 10 mins away. LKN State Park and Gander Outdoor Store (11miles away) have a dumping station. The Oasis at Harmon Creek Farms

Looking for peace, contentment, and to get away to just unwind? Look no more than our Oasis on Harmon Creek! Pitch your tent, van or popup on or near the bank of our creek with lots of shade and complete privacy. You can drive right up to most sites, weather permitting. You will have access to a fire ring and picnic table (located at each site), firewood for sale on site (please do not bring firewood from off-site), clean drinking water and a Porta Potty (located near the pond), the creek to explore, our pond to fish, and wooded trails to hike. Once roamed by Native Americans and now farmed by the same family for over 6 generations, Harmon Creek Farm is a working farm of over 150 acres. Peace, quiet, tranquility and privacy are overflowing along the creek, and hiking throughout the hills on the backside of the farm (and on the other side of the creek) leads to interesting and abundant flora and fauna. The stocked, spring fed pond is 'brimming" with angler challenges. ;) Our cows, pigs, goats,sheep, donkeys, and chickens are all eager to meet you, as are we! We currently have fresh eggs, pork and beef for sale on site and will soon add fresh organically raised vegetables and herbs in season. Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat

Bear Creek Tee-Pee Retreat is a small slice of paradise in Mocksville NC. We are the last property at the end of a dirt road surrounded by woods on all sides. We built this space as our little stay-cation spot and knew we had to share it with fellow lovers of all things outdoors. We have 3 primitive sites and 1 authentic tee-pee. There is a bath house with a heated shower, and a port-a-john that is cleaned regularly. There are 2 picnic tables and a charcoal grill. We have a 24x16 enclosed stage that can be used for bands, educational classes, karaoke, yoga... ect. There is also an outdoor movie theater that we will occasionally play movies on for guests but it is also available to rent for an evening. There are a few restaurants close by. We are about a 5 minute drive to Lake Myers RV resort that has 2 Olympic size swimming pools. There are a lot of wineries and breweries within a 30 min drive from our property. We are also about 15 minutes from river access to the Yadkin river for anyone looking to Kayak. We have 2 dogs that live here and will greet you at the gate. Please be respectful of the neighbors and drive slowly down the dirt road to our property to limit dust. Gate code will be provided prior to guests arrival. Uwharrie National Forest

Camping options are available at five tent and RV campgrounds through the forest as well as dispersed areas within the forest, allowing campers to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Boone’s Cave Park

About 25 minutes from Mocksville, campers can explore 7.5 miles of trails that weave through the backcountry. Fittingly named Boone’s Cave Park, wander the park’s 100+ acres—just like Daniel Boone did—on secluded forest hiking trails. Then, grab a bite at picnic shelters with stunning views of Yadkin River. Along the river, campers will find fishing spots and easy access for kayaking and canoeing. Keep an eye out for native wildflowers, butterflies, and diverse wildlife, including deer and hawks, as well. Campers can reserve their place in tent-exclusive primitive campgrounds with camping pads right in the park to spend multiple days in the wilderness.

Tanglewood Park

Only about 15 minutes from Mocksville by road, find Tanglewood Park—where campers can set up tents, park their RVs, and enjoy the park’s natural beauty. Explore scenic hiking trails, go fishing in one of two stocked lakes, or try boating and paddling adventures. Golf enthusiasts can also play on the park's championship golf courses. Cool off during hot days at the Aquatic Center, which provides a water playground and a lap pool.

When to Go

Springtime brings mild temperatures and excellent weather for hiking and fishing, with some occasional rain showers. Summers can be hot and humid, with temperatures reaching the 80s and 90s—perfect for water-based activities like swimming or boating. Be prepared for potential thunderstorms during summer.
