The site has a large gravel pad that is easy to back into.  We provide 2 Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, a fire pit and lights in the trees.  Lake Norman State Park is exactly 1 mile from this property and is known for AMAZING mountain biking and hiking trails and access to the 520 miles of shore line of Lake Norman, the largest fresh water lake in Iredell County. DO YOU WANT TO BRING A BOAT OR JETSKIS? We have a covered tractor barn on the property where you can keep your bikes or kayaks, boat etc. The state park also has a FREE boat launching area. Also you can keep your trailered boat with you on the property... FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Don't have a boat? There is a marina only 5 mins from here to rent boats and jetskis WANT TO TRAVEL WITH A FRIEND WHO ALSO HAS A CAMPER/RV/TENT?  We have an additional 30/50amp hookup .  You all will enjoy an amazing experience using the hanging out together!  They way we set you up is both RV front doors share the shaded Pecan area.  OR if you are willing to let your friends us your facilities this site can be rented for up to 2 tents. To rent this space you will need to request when booking.  It is only available when booking site #1  WITH this site. Please contact me to discuss this more if you are interested. Troutman is a very quaint southern town very close to Mooresville, NC. It is smack in the middle of Charlotte and Hickory! So you can enjoy the mountains or the city or both from ONE LOCATION!! We are within driving distance to Lowe's Motor speedway and very close to many race teams located in Mooresville. The downtown of Troutman is a short drive from your camp spot and there is a grocery store, drug store and many privately owned restaurants, including Italian, German and amazing fried chicken at Julia's! There is an ice cream parlor too!!  Another wonderful asset to Troutman is Daveste' Vineyard where there is live music often, and of course wine tastings! This beautiful vineyard is less than 10 mins away.

There was enough space for large tents and several hammocks. We caught several different fish. There is a small charcoal grill and a nice fire pit, swing, and picnic table. The privacy is nice, and it’s not a bad walk with your gear especially with a wagon. We are so grateful to this space so close to home and can’t wait to get back out there. Thank you for sharing such a lovely space.

We had the most amazing weekend at Scott’s. The waterfall is beautiful and the land is set up perfectly for tent camping. Scott was kind, responsive, and awesome to talk to. Great place for a getaway. I live locally and never knew that it was there after 40 years. Recommend bug spray for mosquitoes or citronella candles, for the time if season should be expected. Beautiful site with lots of room. Kinda secluded but there's a house and another site across the water. Everyone minded their business, just clean up after yourselves and everything should be a great experience. Clean porta potty. Highly recommend!!!

What an amazing getaway spot! The area was a lot bigger than anticipated, and the views so much better in person. The swinging benches looking out at the waterfall was great! So much to explore and many opportunities for play. Dinner on top of the waterfall was amazing. We had the pleasure of meeting Scott and getting a brief history lesson (I recommend asking if you see him). We also thoroughly enjoyed two visits from a heron.

We were a group of seven families. The place was absolutely fantastic and large for all of us to comfortably camp. It was maintained beautifully and the best highlight was the waterfall. Luckily for us there was rain last night so the waterfall had a lot of water when we visited everybody enjoyed to our hearts content. Would definitely recommend for others and we will plan another trip to this place.
