Weekend Trip to Sugarneck Glamping Resort, NC

I really enjoyed my experience with my family. Everything was clean and well kept. Even with summer, mosquitos weren't rampant. They have 3 or 4 other units on the property and they're all well spaced out. The tent was a great condition. The kitchen included a small fridge and a small coffee maker and some mugs, plates, and bowls. The game room was a lifesaver. Our dog enjoyed her time as well as she got to run around the property to explore. She's good about being called and coming to us, but for others, I'd recommend really knowing your dog because the property isn't fenced in and they could just run off into the woods. Plenty of shaded areas. The game room was a lifesaver because it had room for us to just lounge around and play games and watch TV. Don't judge, we chose glamping this time for a reason! Lol the long swing was fun. We also found a full size corn hole set, ax throwing (plastic), and as much ice as you could need for your stay. It was a wonderful time. The only BIG thing you should consider is how much there is to do in the immediate area (not much). So either plan to stay on property the whole time you're here, or be sure everything is at a reasonable distance. This is a great spot to just get away.

The bathroom and The Alice were both clean. Due to its location, wooded area, there were a lot of bugs (spiders, roaches, etc) inside both. That was expected but disturbing. The “game room” on the property was really nice and had games and a tv for movie night. We would definitely return. However, non of us were ever able to connect to the WiFi. Even at the game room. So that was disappointing since one of us looked forward to working on a novel. But in general, we had a great time. Also, we were able to communicate via the App if there were any issues.

Cheryl is amazing!! This is the perfect place to camp, it's quiet and secluded. The farm stand is open on the weekend I got a bunch of goodies! We got to pet the sheep and donkeys and they were so friendly. I would definitely come back here!!

We love the Tent that we stayed in. We are lucky that it was only us who were staying in the whole place that day. The place is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We had our dinner in their bbq station and we enjoyed it! A lot of activities around to enjoy. We will definitely be back next time and will bring more friends to stay!

The lake is beautiful and saw turtles, frogs and was a lovely walk around the entire lake. Unfortunately, I have dogs that scare easily and Scott’s dogs visit the camping area, so I did not stay. But the property was gorgeous and Scott was easy to communicate with and gave me fresh eggs when I arrived.

This property was absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, and so peaceful. The owner was so kind and welcoming. No mosquitoes or ticks in sight. Very convenient drive to/from the carrboro area. Hope to stay here again soon!

This was awesome, it has all the great things about camping. Nice outdoor spaces, fire pits, big communal spaces, but without the 'roughing it' due to air conditioning, nice showers, etc. I'd have a hard time getting my wife to go camping but she'd do this all the time!

1 night at R.O.S.A Land Campground Piedmont NC

This was my first time camping solo, and I could not have picked a better place for it. My site was private and safe, right next to the river....my tent fit perfectly on the platform and there was a firepit nearby. Directions to the campground were clear, I found the place easily. Be prepared to walk a little bit from your car to site#1, but it's a beautiful walk on a trail. Something for every nature lover ..river, meadows, woods, a fruit and veggie garden, I even saw some horses! Bathroom was easy to find and workable, too. Just a gorgeous, quiet place to connect to creation! Cox was friendly and encouraged me to enjoy the campground and hang a while, which I appreciate. Get yourself to Respite on the Round! I highly recommend!

This was really an incredible experience! The campsites are next to a nature sanctuary which you are able to explore once it's closed to the public. There are tons of friendly dogs and cats that spend time with you as you wander. Two cats even stayed at the campsite! Highly recommend staying here, will definitely be returning

This has been our best camping experience since moving to eastern North Carolina. We’ve tried so many sites, but nothing quite hit the nostalgia button of what we camped in growing up in New England. This site nailed it. Very fair price, very clean, river access. So grateful to have found the spot.

Absolutely loved the sites. Each site was spaced apart so you felt like you were secluded. I loved being able to get in the river and float from my site. Each site was in shade which I know will be great next time I go. Really loved having fire wood on site and extra available if needed. The paths were great to walk on. The Host was very nice. We loved how close it was to stores if we needed anything. It also a great treat to go to Vollmer Farms store for ice cream which was like 2 minutes up the road.

Back to the basics, come and experience Tar River Life’s primitive camping on the Tar River. Enjoy being on the river and listening to slow running sound of the Tar River. Bring your own tent or rent one of ours. You can drive your vehicle to all of our campsites. The drive to camp is about 1/2 miles. Each site includes a fire pit, wood and trash bin. Cook your own meals or try and catch your own fish from the river. Campsites can be secluded or grouped. Each site comes with a picnic table, 1 bundle of wood and trash can. Our farm is an agritourism/sheep farm that offers seasonal events, educational workshops, a petting zoo, B&B, farm store, snack bar and camping! We are a working farm during the week so we only allow camping to occur on the farm during the week as well as weekends. The rest of the farm offerings are not available until the weekend. We don't have hookups, so bring a generator if you need it. If you need to fill up your RV water tank, we charge $10. Each of the 3 sites has a fire ring and picnic table. A Grill Pavilion is available to rent for $20 extra. See photos. Propane, grill, table and party lights included. We allow check-ins during the week after 12 noon, perfect for folks passing through and just need a safe and quiet place to park for the night and not interested in visiting the farm store, the barnyard or the rest of the farm, which are closed during week. If you are looking for interaction with the animals, or shop our farm store, book on a weekends when we open the Farm 10am-4pm for the public to visit our petting zoo, Farm Store and Snack Shack. We even offer feed so you can feed our sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks and geese! While we are dog-friendly, we do not allow dogs outside the camping area. Instead, we offer a 1.5 acre piece of property adjacent to the camping sites where you can allow your dogs off-leash. No extra charge. Our camping area is a large grassy field that will accommodate multiple tent campers, travel trailers, and RVs under 30' with room to turn around, stake your area, and not feel crowded. There is also 1 regularly maintained porta potty located in this area.
