Our farm is a beautiful, private 25 acres with an 1830s house, outbuildings, animals, orchards, gardens, pastures, old trees, wildlife habitat, a spring, and woods. Here you can relax; watch nature; meet our chickens, goats, horse, cats, and dog; take guided tours to learn about the farm, animals, plants, archaeology, and history or learn to make mead; and purchase eggs and homegrown seasonal food and products. Listen to birdsong and watch clouds during the day, wander a path through our 5 acres of woods, see fireflies in the evening, and star watch at night. Nearby are hiking, horseback riding, historical sites, fishing, antiques, breweries, shooting, and more. We are located in a rural area and have many different domesticated and wild animals so you may hear diverse animal noises and see or smell animal poop, although we try to keep things clean and tidy. Our neighbors have dogs, cattle, and chickens/roosters and occasionally shoot guns during daylight hours (one neighbor is a sporting club with skeet shooting and hunting dogs) but typically our farm is a quiet and peaceful place. We mow regularly and our rooster and chicken ladies wander far and wide eating bugs but, in the summer, they can't get every mosquito and tick so please plan accordingly for your own comfort.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hall River Camp Spot Absolutely beautiful spot! 🌲 The scenery is stunning, peaceful, and the whole area feels tucked away from the world. It’s incredibly quiet — the perfect place to relax and take in God’s creation. 🙌 You can definitely hear a shooting range in the distance, but it’s not overwhelming — just part of the charm of the area. And yes, the local rooster makes sure you don’t oversleep! 🐓😂 Overall, a wonderful stay — we’ll definitely be back! 🏕️🔥

Paul has a great piece of property with all of the amenities… level pad, power, lights, good water, a shower if you want it, a lovely gazebo with twinkle-lights and a firepit. And as an extra bonus… 3 welcoming & well-behaved dogs. My own dog had a fabulous time playing with them. Plenty of room to run around and minimal traffic on the access road. You’re thru Gold Hill in the blink of an eye, but looks like it would be worth a visit.

Weekend Trip to Cool Creek Farm

I rented the Hipcamp loft in the barn but actually brought my camper van and Melissa was so gracious to let me park it by the barn. Her property is outstanding and it was a real pleasure to stay there near the music venue I attended. It was like being at a retreat . . . so peaceful! The animals were very entertaining. She has horses, goats, chickens, and barn cats, The one drawback for me was the Wifi situation. There isn't any, and the signal wasn't strong enough for me to be able to access emails or send messages. It wouldn't matter except I run a business and need to be n touch with clients. All in all, a wonderful Hipcamp experience.

Weekend Trip to The Farm at Long Creek

This campsite absolutely lives up to its name - Peaceful Easy Feeling. The whole weekend felt like nature showing off: dragonflies twirling around us, birds singing like they were in concert, and the lake buzzing with life. We spotted koi, fish, minnows, snapping turtles, and even a surprisingly cute little watersnake who was (quite proudly) having frog for lunch = front-row seats to the circle of life! Afternoons floating on personal rafts were pure bliss, evenings cooling off in the creek were refreshing, and nights by the firepit were perfection. Salem was such a kind and accommodating host, which made everything feel even more easy and welcoming. It all came together to make the weekend unforgettable — peaceful, easy and beautiful.

The camp is well aptly named. You absolutely get a peaceful easy feeling and it won’t let you down. Such a relaxing place to get away from the world. The pond and campsite were very clean and supplies, if needed, were only 10 minutes away. The dogs had an awesome time in and out of the water and the canoe provided was a nice bonus.

We are always looking for a camping spot where we are solo campers. This was perfect as we had the entire place to ourselves. We enjoy our privacy and have 2 dogs, so some room to run and play is important to us. Paul’s property was a perfect match. The outdoor shower, electric hook up , gazebo and fire pit ( plus free wood ) was very much appreciated. Paul greeted us and introduced his dogs to ours. I would highly recommend this site!

1 night at Golden Spot

What a wonderful campsite -- surrounded by trees, well lit, with a lovely pagoda. Paul is a wonderful host and I so enjoyed getting to chat with him and meeting his two dogs Panda and Sebastian. I can't wait to come back! I bet it's beautiful with the fall colors.

Riding the zip line that runs from the main structure down to the patio in the woods — hands down my favorite part!

Weekend Trip to Basecamp_outdoors

What an awesome and unique stay! I felt like my childhood dreams were realized in this tucked away little treehouse. I’m so excited to come back and zip line sometime soon!
