3 nights at Hippie Havens: A Groovy Retreat

Hippie Havens was an AMAZING find. Shaggy and Kendra are really friendly and welcoming. Their dog Taj got along very well with our dog and us. Just an all around cool vibe. The cabin was immaculately prepared and the attention to detail was great. The multicolored wifi controlled lights were a cool touch. We mentioned it was a birthday for one of us, and they had it prepared with an adorable birthday card, balloon, and some friendship bracelets. Honestly, the additional touches were over the top. The s'mores are a must get. The sauna was a big plus and definitely relaxing. All in all this place is amazing, and we will be back. We've already booked our second trip.

Weekend Trip to The 1772 Lefevre Homestead

This was my first Hip Camp stay. The land was as advertised (great open and private property, friendly cows, and a great view). The weather turn out for the worse on our weekend but as seasoned campers we made the best of it. My friend and I talked about coming back at some point with the family and make a bigger trip out of it.

My girlfriend, some friends and I spent the weekend at Eric’s farm and it was amazing!!! The bathroom and showers felt so clean and the view from our car camping site was gorgeous! He was quick to message me back if i needed anything during my stay as well. The goats, cats and dog were a huge plus and made our stay so much nicer. This is by far the best campsite i have been to!!

Boulder Point Campground is a new favorite for an overnight with kids. I highly recommend booking here for the wonderful views, well maintained campsite and welcoming stay.

The hosts were amazing to work with. They know their animals and take good care of them. The sites are clean and you have good space to roam. They property is well kept and everything is exactly as described. This would be a great place for novice campers (meeeeeee) or seasoned campers, looking to test out new gear in different climates while having a great experience and being safe. I would definitely be interested in seeing if this place has long-term camping arrangements!!! 10/10!!! We fed EVERYONE, it was awesome. They were friendly before the food. But!!! The animals came running once we broke out the bagels and old bread we got from a bagel shop for super cheap!!! We woke up to sheep and a mini cow at the door. The chickens and goats came later. The big cows were sooooooo sweet! Enjoy your time here and leave the world behind for a little while. I cant stress how positive this was.

Love Love Love. Very beautiful, peaceful and private place. We had some cool visitors such a fox, owls, coyotes and of course the cows!!! Beautiful sunset and views. We enjoyed local hiking spots and attractions.

It was perfect, it was quiet, private, and perfect to just relax and enjoy with friends. Everyone loved the spot and will definitely be staying here again soon! Thank you Jenna for the communication and hospitality!

The 1772 Lefevre Homestead

This property was once a working apple orchard. Over regulation made it very difficult to manage so we let it lie foul for years. Then we let a fellow farmer use it to graze his cattle. Now our children has taking it over and are raising beef cattle on the property. Our campsite lies on the beautiful two and a half century old LeFevre family farmstead with rich history and stunning views of the Shawangunk Mountain ridge. The property is on a 40-acre old apple orchard that is super private and filled with dramatic views and spectacular sunsets. Wake up in your tent to the sounds of birds chirping, roasters crowing and cows just close enough but just far enough way. On occasion there may be a person driving by to tend to the cattle.

We have 40 acres with miles of trails through the property. It is located on the hudson valley wine trail so there are tons of wineries to access. We are in the mountains with great climbing, next to a state park. The campsite is on top of a massive boulder that looks out over the grounds with tons of wildlife surrounding. On a dead end road in the middle of the woods with no other houses within sight. ***PLEASE NOTE: BATHROOMS ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. A little bit about us. This is a small campground. We do have one Glamping site as well as well as a super luxurious pool house available. We rent small retro RV's as well, see our other listings!! There are 40 acres here to explore with small streams, wetlands and forests. We have 4 modern brand new bathrooms with a hot showers in a beautiful new bathhouse with a charging station for phones and tablets. Its pretty amazing!!!!! We do have sulfur water, its great for your skin but smells! Each site usually has a 2 chairs, a table , a grill and a fire ring..... We also offer 3 vintage campers for a unique glamping experience. We have a 1984, a 1975 and a 1966 all with solar electric lighting. Running water is located at the camp store. Take a look at our listings or ask me. I'll tell you all about them. *Please note that use of the pool is available to guests of the pool house only. We also offer hiking excursions. Please book in advance. Our sites are in the middle of the 40 acres of beautiful undeveloped land to explore or just enjoy the quiet. There are no street lights to block the view of the night sky and the fire flies are something to see. We still have all the cool stuff like tons of restaurants, breweries, wineries & vineyards, and farms all around. Boulder Point Camping is centrally located among indoor and outdoor activities, great restaurants, local shops, and antiquing. We are close to loads of hiking trails, state parks, restaurants, creeks, swimming, fishing and more. Sam's Point, Ice Caves Mountain, and Minnewaska State Park just to name a few! In addition there are plenty of microbreweries, wineries, and farms where you can pick your fruit right off the tree (or vine) as the case may be. We are also a few minutes from Angry Orchard, Gardiner Brewing Company, and Baldwin Vineyards and many many others... Dogs welcome with an additional $20 fee. We can accommodate small vans, popups and RVs as well. Check in is at 3 pm Check out is a strict 12 pm unless prior arrangements have been made. Menlo Pond is our 10 acre property where we live in the old 1885 farmhouse. There is also a large old cow barn on the property and a 2 acre pond. The HipCamp spot is down in the back of the property near the pond. There is a small beach with a dock and also a floating swim-to dock out in the middle of the pond. We share our flat bottom boat, canoe, standup paddle board and our kayaks. You can have a campfire in our firepit and use our outdoor grill. There is electrical hookup and possibly water(you provide the long hose). There is a seasonal outdoor shower and sometimes we have a rented Porta-potty.
