This off-the-grid tiny house is nestled on a 23 acre parcel at the end of a quarter-mile dirt road. The property itself is secluded but is less than 2 miles from the heart of Saranac Lake's downtown. This property is bordered by the Saranac River, the backside of Baker Mountain and State Forest. The only other building on the property is our timberframe which we may or may not be at during the time of your visit. Come stay in our 1880s vintage summer cottage, built as a studio by a Keene Valley artist on a secluded and elevated spot in the center of the Adirondacks' High Peaks. It has a gorgeous view of Giant, Hopkins and Spread Eagle mountains. The summer cottage overlooks a cliff and is a few hundred yards from the nearest house, a classic Adirondack camp that shares its driveway but can't be seen. Even so, it is within walking distance of the village of Keene Valley,. Hikers love it because it's a 25-minute walk to The Garden, one of the largest and most popular trailheads in the Adirondacks that has very little parking. The cottage has a huge covered porch (not screened) that looks out on the mountains and functions as an outdoor dining room with a view. The accommodations are rustic but comfortable: a bedroom with a double bed; a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker; washer/dryer; a bathroom with a shower/bath; and a large sitting room with a stone fireplace and a futon that sleeps two. There is a one-room cabin nearby (also available for rent) with a screened porch that is perfect for sleeping in the summer.

We are a gateway to outdoor play in the Adirondacks. Lake George and hiking trails are a stone's throw away. Swim, sail, fish, boat, hike, rock climb, and white-water raft during the summer and down-hill or cross-country ski, skate, snow shoe, and ice fish in the winter. Or sit with a book in secluded natural privacy.

Our cabin is an original Adirondack hunters camp nestled on the toe of Pelkey Mt. Vintage twin beds and built-in bunks sleep up to 4 people comfortably with a wood stove, propane lighting and a dry sink to load with ice and goodies. This off-the-grid, rustic cabin is the ONLY camp on over 600 acres of land, of which Pelkey Mt is the dominate feature. World class hiking, boating, swimming, biking, and fishing all within minutes of Camp Moonset and set in one of the most beloved areas by ADK locals. Enjoy the Adirondacks' High Peaks region without the crowds. **New pictures added from the April 2024 eclipse, top of Pelkey Mt looking south east towards Catamount Mt. **New pictures will be posted soon with recent cabin interior up grades. **2 night minimum required during the summer season.
