The majestic Schoharie Valley! Conveniently located just 4 miles off of interstate 88 open all year round. Located closely, 1/2 mile to the award winning New York State brewary of the year, Wayward Lane Brewary. The brewary offers live music and events often. Lasalle Park is also a short walk. kayaking on Schoharie Creek with rentals available only 1 mile away. On the snowmobile trail. For history buffs walk to the historical Palantine house or Old Stone Fort. The property has a house on the far end of the 7 acres but that is the only house you will see. The camper site itself is on flat level surface of packed sturdy number 2 stone. It is next to our storage barn where you will have access to an outdoor electrical outlet. If you face your camper away from the storage barn you will only see the field and woods. Our location is known for underground caves.

Nice convenience just off of the interstate. We were doing long stretches of driving to reach Acadia, and this fit the bill for us. Unfortunately the nearby brewery wasn’t open or we would’ve stopped in for a cold one, but the view from the firepit was nice, complete with a hawk who kept our eyes & ears interested. This is a pretty level camping area adjacent to a garage & container, no frills but a lovely view, convenience, and really great hosts!

Randy and Jenna are the most welcoming hosts! We were their very first Hipcampers and absolutely loved how easy and simple their site was to settle into. There’s a bit of work ahead for Randy, but it’s already shaping up to be a quiet little hideaway with beautiful mountain views and plenty of hiking through the woods. We’re excited to come back in the fall and explore more of the area!
