We were greeted by Marcy at a wonderful location. The site has a 35 amp receptacle for our trailer. We enjoyed a short walk into town and had a nice dinner at Kevin’s! Many places to explore in the community.

Good little spot to spend a night or two, and the host is very friendly, thanks for having me here
Super friendly hosts! Perfect spot for our stop over on the way to Maine. There is a lovely walk to the pond and the location is very close to Bennington for dinner/shopping. Water and electrical hookups were easy.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely area of Southern Vermont. We were given six fresh eggs as a parting gift and the owner is super nice. However, there were four caveats that we want to share and that kept us from giving this Hipcamp a full thumbs up:
1. There are two roosters that start crowing before dawn (4 am in the early summer) which woke us up and made it a bit challenging to fall back asleep.
2. We followed Google map directions which took us to a beautiful covered bridge which we weren’t able to cross considering the height limit was approximately 10ft, but as we were pulling a 26’ travel trailer which has a higher height, we had to continue down the road, which had another beautiful covered bridge. Fortunately, we were able to turn around and find our way to the campsite. This was all complicated by the fact that cell service was sketchy and although the host tried to help, we lost her phone call. We we had to use a paper map to help us navigate our way back to Bennington.
3. The campsite is located at the bottom of a hill. Larger travel trailers, 26 ft and greater will have some trouble navigating the steep but short connection to the road. Our second set of steps were damaged as we pulled out.
4. The campsite needs some cleanup as there were two huge piles of yard debris piled up beside the gravel campsite and on top of where the fire pit is located. We had to pull some of the debris out of the way to be able to enter & exit our main camper door. (See photos)

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We went on the hike around the lake that also led to Robert Frost's house. It was a beautiful walk through the woods. Thank you Marcy for pointing us in that direction. The street was very quiet. We would definitely stay again if we ever come back this way again.

Marcy's campsite is typically set up for an RV but campers can fit right in as well. We enjoyed our stay and meeting Marcy!
This is a bit misleading. The pictures don’t show that’s it’s not a camp ground, it’s someone’s backyard with zero view of the mountain.
I brought my "camper" truck and had a super peaceful stay. Super friendly host and chickens! If I'm in the area can I'd highly consider staying again!
I had a great time camping here! Very nice quiet dead end road and a nice neighborhood to walk around and explore. Helpful, friendly host! I saw a deer wandering in the lawn about 25 feet from me while I was pitching my tent.

Nice corner of yard with shade and some sunny spots. Lovely chickens will entertain for hours. One with feathery feet. Two babies learning from their mom. Even scored a 6-Pk of fresh eggs. Thank you again!!!
Weber grill for use. (not for these chickens!!!). Chairs, table, fire pit. No 120v power, but massive plug for trailers.
The Haven was a perfect stop on our trip through the area. Great 30amp electricity and water hookups. ATT cell service worked well. You can walk to the trail around Lake Paran. There were many beautiful wild flowers on this trail. Marcy was responsive, accommodating, and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Marcy and family were welcoming and helpful. It’s a well cared for site, setuo and property pleasantly far from any traffic but still close to amenities. Like other campers have mentioned there are chickens which like their dawn chorus which I didn’t mind but something to be mindful of if that kinda thing bothers you. Thank you Marcy for sharing your lovely space.

It was super easy to access and set up. We tented, so we required little other than a flat space. We walked to the lake and into town. Our pups loved it and we loved hearing the roosters in the morning. Overall, it was a great spot.
This was our first time taking our camper out and we enjoyed our stay at Marcy's. No issues with the electric or water hookups once we got them set up. Great location close to Bennington and outdoor activities. The fresh eggs were such a nice treat! Something to be mindful of for non -morning people are the roosters as there will be a 4 am wakeup call haha.
Nice spot on a dead end street= low road noise. We stayed two nights and Marcy was available to answer our questions. My suggestion is to back in. It was convenient to visit local campgrounds and sight seeing.

Great location, peaceful and quiet area. Close to a town with a nice coffee shop and some places to eat. Marcy was so nice and helpful and even had some fresh eggs for us from her chickens! It was a great spot with a big fire pit. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back

Lovely quiet spot except for the chickens, lol! I'm a farm girl so no worries and our hostess gifted us fresh eggs! Double check the GPS, link sent me wrong.

Marcy was very responsive and the space was great. The electric hookup was helpful and everything was easy to find and navigate. Highly recommend!
Beautiful location with a beautiful lake, trails and mountain views across the road. Nice fire pit and electricity is a bonus.
Even though it was a last minute booking, Marcy was very accommodating. She has a lovely place, private with chickens and roosters. We enjoyed our stay at Marcy’s place and would definitely stay there again if we are passing through this way. Thank you Marcy!
