We welcome well-mannered dogs off-leash on the property being mindful that it is located on a small hill overlooking our family home (Feather Pond Hollow on Instagram) which houses a toddler, two working-from-home adults, and as of July 2025, 2 White German Shepard/Great Pyrenees puppies (Bos and Ley who are 1 year old and learning), a chair lounging goat (Buttercup), 2 geese (the JuJus, good and bad - they can be, so best to be on guard), and many ducks and chickens. The wildflowers are in bloom for summer, and the song birds are singing. We invite you to join us in the woods! We are on Main Rd. (VT Route 8) and the property has a driveway entrance, making it easy to leave and explore the nearby areas of: South to Massachusetts: North Adams, MA (10 mins), which is home to Mass MoCA - the largest contemporary art museum in the country, and many wonderful spots to explore for shopping and dining. Williamstown, MA (20 mins), offers tons of hiking trails and The Clark museum. Staying in VT: Readsboro, VT (10 mins), has an out-of-this-world general store with food you don't expect to find in the woods; Readsboro General Store is a must-see, and sandwiches/salads you'll come back for! Readsboro Inn is the perfect place for an easy drive for drinks, a burger, or pizza, if you please! Wilmington, VT (20 mins), offers water activities, such as boating, swimming, and fishing! Located In upstate New York is this hidden gem. This camper was old school, now turned new. With a full renovation to give it a Scandinavian look in the front, and a cozy cabin feel in the bedroom. This will give you a unique experience different from the normal camper your used to! Also at your campsite there is a firepit, garden hose,(not available during the winter)and a 8x8 hammock perfect to stargaze in! We are now offering kindling firewood with fire starter and matches. Feel free to reserve your own firewood. $10 *PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING* I want to be transparent with you guys on the property and size of the camper! -The camper is very small only 21ft. The average height clearance is 6'2" so if you are tall this may not be for you. (I'm 5'9" and its comfortable for me) -If you are a bigger person this may feel too tight for you especially in the bathroom area -The bed is a full size some couples may feel that this is to small for them. -A hot shower will last about 15 minutes once it is heated up. -In the summertime there is bugs some may get into the camper. We do treat the area with safe bug spray but it may not fully prevent them. -There are two other tiny houses and a main house on the property. They are far apart but the main house is close. We have a privacy fence that fully blocks the house. So you are still very private but you are not fully secluded. -In case of fire There is a fire blanket, fire extinguisher, and a smoke/carbon monoxide detector inside the camper. The bedroom door is only to be used as an emergency fire exit. (Door is locked from the outside but unlocked from the inside) There is also a water cannon outside for outdoor fires. Please be responsible with all fires! -If you want to cancel you must cancel within 24 hours of booking then I will issue a full refund. This was a really nice spot! It felt reasonably secluded and was quite cozy. We were only there for a short stay, but enjoyed the trails around the property. The bed in the canvas tent was so comfortable, I actually slept better than I have in a while. Would love to bring some more friends back for a longer stay sometime!

We had a great weekend getaway in this cute forest hut! The hut and privy were stocked with everything we needed for a weekend. The town of Ashfield is also very quaint. The hut is fairly close to the Airbnb house, so if you're looking for an isolated stay in the woods, this may not be far enough from others as you'd prefer.

Staying at the Forest Hut was a magical experience. The hut was cozy and romantic with the fairy lights, views of the light through the trees, and sounds of nature lulling us to sleep. The privy was clean and comfortable. Swinging in the hammock sipping coffee and reading a book was never better. Host is just lovely and her garden/apothecary made it extra special!

John’s camper was super fun! My partner and I loved it as a little summer getaway. Here’s some things to note: shower never got hot (there was instructions to wait 20 minutes after turning the heat button on and letting the water run but it never turned warm). Oven did not work :( If you plan to go to this site in the summer, be prepared to have a lot of buggy friends fly in to the camper at night. TV, bed, and everything else was amazing.

4 nights at The Catskill And Chill

We had such a beautiful time! John is an amazing host, he's down to earth and very helpful. He already mentioned this in the description, but the RV is tight! Me and my girlfriend both are 5'3" so we are good and found the space cozy. Cooking was good too, we got some groceries delivered from a nearby market that does free delivery. The RV has its own spot in the shared campsite and it feels private. The hammock outside is wonderful and we took a few naps there too. We forgot our cards but John has a deck in the RV which worked perfectly for us. We did fires every night and did some food in the grill. There are different species of birds in the campsite and at night the stars are gorgeous. We saw a few bunnies and a pair of deers around as well. We were there without a car so it was a bit harder to move around but taxi services work there! It just takes a bit of time. There are a lot of things to enjoy in Hudson, Catskill and Leeds! We did also a few hikes around the area and explored some thrift/antiques stores that were lovely. Oh and the wifi works good! We would love to come back! Thanks for everything John, we had a great time!
