The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house.
When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here.
We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site.
We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.
It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property.
We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped.
Our property has provided many happy gatherings and events and we love to share it with others.

You can enjoy exploring, and examining our 7 year permacultuire food forest with chestnut seedlings already tall enough to climb , 10-foot hazels bearing buckets of nuts and a different selection of raspberries, blackberries, gooseberry, currents, golden berries, service berries and Mulberries. Enjoy a stroll through the meadow trail to breath in morning views and evening fireflies and stars. This camp area is very private but household amenities are not far away if desired. This site is much more private than Mickelberry Forest Garden Site and the beautiful mountain view is only a small step away. One mile away we offer nearby blue mark trails, mountain biking, lake and outdoor activities are at your fingertips and your hosts will be happy to provide any assistance needed to find or enjoy these opportunities. The Creamery (Ferris Acres) is one of the best farm ice cream shops in the East. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private.
As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping.

My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you.
I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site.
Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses.
We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray.
We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails.
There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking.
There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

We are a small vegetable farm based in upstate NY. The farm is located right next to the rail trail creating a short scenic walk to our small town New Paltz that has many food, arts, and outdoorsy attractions.

My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you.
I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site.
Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses.
We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray.
We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails.
There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking.
There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

We love having chill rock climbers, hikers and families on our farm/wedding venue. It's not a campground! Osa Trail site rests on a secluded hilltop bordering Sundown Wild Forest with SPECTACULAR VIEWS of hills and valleys. You can see all the way to The Berkshires on clear days. At night, it's the Milky Way, so bring your telescope. There is a beautiful "secret" mountain stream waterhole within a 7-minute walk from the tent. Bring your towels.
Right along the driveway leading to the campsite there is a shale outcrop, full of fossils, mostly prehistoric leaves and branches, but also occasional Brachiopods - yours for the taking. Bring your cold chisel and a mallet.
This campsite is equipped with one Queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress!
Good cell reception at the site.
No poison ivy anywhere on the property.
Bring extra warm blankets but wake up early to watch the sunrise. Enjoy the stone fire pit, but don't leave the fire unattended. Forage the forest, but don't leave food that may attract wildlife. Explore nearby mountain streams, waterfalls, hills and trails - don't get lost in the woods.

We had such an amazing experience camping at Paradise valley homestead, Kathleen was so kind and helpful and even gave us a little tour before we started. There’s an amazing mini hike that leads to a waterfall and it’s just so so gorgeous. We will definitely be back to camp again!!

This is my second visit to Wright farm and already looking forward to the next. We had a good, albeit cold and snowy stay mid-Jan which was totally worth it for us. Beautiful snowy night but BOOKER BE ADVISED, you must be VERY prepared from an equipment, camping knowledge/awareness, and vehicle standpoint if attempting to stay during a snowy period. You will need several bundles of firewood (5+) to last through the evening which luckily the farm has at its market at entrance. Only the Stonehenge sites appear to be accessible in the snow and you'll need 4x4 with proper winter tires at minimum to access. AWD with all-season tires likely won't cut it. That said, our RAV-4 2WD made it just fine in the fall but we did have to park at the farmstore and carry our gear to the site this time around. These challenges aside, the farm is amazing. All sites sit on hills which offer remote vibes with amazing views at all times of the day. The staff is very nice but are generally hands off. These are campsites and not ABNBs/hotels afterall. Just something to keep in mind. Overall, another great stay.

I loved hot tent camping on Kathleen’s land! It was so much fun, peaceful and beautiful scenery. Kathleen was very kind, informative and welcoming. I stayed busy enjoying the hikes and exploring on the property. If you like off roading, it’s so much fun on the trails to get to the property and to get to the site. Also if you’re worried about space and clearance to get to the site I stayed at, my truck is a 8ft bed and i did just fine getting up and making turns, if this helps anyone. Thanks you so much Kathleen for the amazing getaway, i will definitely be back!!

Stayed at Site 3 – Paradise Valley Homestead on December 15th during about 5 inches of snow, and the experience exceeded expectations. The site was peaceful, scenic, and felt private even with winter conditions, Despite the snow, everything was manageable and clearly well thought out. If you’re looking for a quiet, well-run campsite with a host who actually cares about their guests, this place delivers. Would absolutely stay here again—snow or no snow.

Theres something really special about this place! The horses are amazing, the land and trails are beautiful and the people are nice and friendly! My old van made it easily up the hill and the parking was nice and flat and the power hookup very good! My dogs also had a great time! The WiFi worked very well on the iPad but the phones struggled a bit. But really I have to dedicate some words to the horses: oh my, what beautiful animals they are! And they are all rescue! Mama and Lacey stole my heart!
