The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. We have lots of very lovable goats that love interacting with people, 7 babies......plus pigs and chickens, and our homestead is deep in the woods.....full reimbursement i.e. free of charge.

Our property is very wooded,, secluded area on two and a half acres., it is on a hill, parking is about a football field distance from the campsite, rugged walking, very doable, bring appropriate footwear.
We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here.
We are 420 friendly!
Sites are on top of the hill in a very secluded spot with a small campfire.
We offer organic vegetables from the garden and work almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop.
For a nice experience for adventurous families, you are welcome to accompany us on our herding of our goats/milking, collect eggs for your own breakfast.
We offer a unique place to unwind. Conveniently located near Watkins Glenn, Corning, Bath, and Penn Yan. Perfect get away and an inexpensive alternative to the hotels when you go to the races, lakes, wine tours, museums or many other great attractions around our area. We offer organic vegetables from the garden and work almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop.

I camped on a reeeealllly cold & windy night so it was nice to have my Mr. Buddy heater to supplement in the middle of the night when I didn’t feel like tending to the fire. I didn’t have time to explore the other paths and I’m so bummed because it looked like an amazing place to frolick! If you are a star gazer, this is your place! The hosts were so amazing and very accommodating. I appreciated the fire!

We loved our time on the homestead! Gary is a very gracious host and was nothing but helpful the whole trip. The wagon stayed warm so long as we got off our butts to stick some wood in the stove. It was very comfy for our little trio, and my dog thoroughly enjoyed exploring the trails with us. The only downside of the entire trip was the hike down to the outhouse, but even that was manageable - we just needed to plan ahead for bathroom breaks. The goats were friendly and we appreciated the rooster alarm clock. I know the homestead is still a work in progress, which is why we're very excited to see what it looks like when we come back next year :)

Weekend Trip to Overgrown Ridge Camp By Letchworth
The site is tucked back in hidden from everything but a field. The tent is great and the wood stove worked wonderfully once we remembered how vents work. The bed was quite comfortable but pick your side wisely if you are over 6 ft.
The outhouse seems brand new and the short trails around the property are a nice morning walk.
We were comfortably warm in the 30s, except for when I let the fire go out. Will definitely be stopping by again when it warms back up.

This spot is a hidden gem — peaceful, private, and beautifully maintained. The site has small walking trails that are great for a quiet morning stroll or an evening walk to unwind. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, from the setup of the site to the little touches that make your stay comfortable and relaxing.
It’s also conveniently located — only about 10 minutes from town, with easy access to gas stations, Walmart, and McDonald’s if you need to grab anything. You get the best of both worlds here: the calm and privacy of nature with the convenience of nearby amenities.
We had a wonderful stay and left feeling refreshed. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a bit of nature without being too far from town!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Stergelandia. We stayed in the Gumdrop cabin which was decorated beautifully and peacefully with colorful tapestries and pillows. Despite it being chilly out we were able to sleep comfortably with extra blankets and some hand warmers. It rained one morning and watching/hearing it fall on the plexiglass wall was amazingly beautiful. We enjoyed the observation deck and took a short hike. We made a cozy fire and used the cooking gear provided to make a nice dinner. We cannot wait for our film to be developed as every part of this trip was stunning. We will definitely be back, Jennifer was a great host and has made a beautiful nature oasis on her land.
