New in July, 2026! A peaceful riverfront nature retreat on the pristine Upper Delaware River. Easy, private river access to swim, wade, fish, and hand launch your kayak or small boat.
Guests enjoy eagle sightings, birdwatching, and a thriving wild trout population that draws anglers from all over the world. Campsites are nestled in a shaded grove of mature hardwood trees. The riverfront is a one minute walk down a trail to a gently sloping riverbank. The water is typically 1-3 ft deep near shore.

Well Behaved Dogs: At Site 5 Grouse Cove only. This is to keep the vibe tranquil and clean. Max 2 dogs.
River safety: Typically calm and shallow near shore. Depth increases and current becomes stronger as you walk out toward mid-river. This is a river not a pool or lake. The river is not always safe for swimming after heavy rains and upstream water releases. Life jackets are strongly encouraged even for strong swimmers and are required by the National Park Service for kids. Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard.
Boats: Canoes, kayaks, rafts, tubes, or inflatables - hand carry and launch right from camp. The walk to the waterfront is less than 2 minutes from parking down a stone trail. Trailered boats - launch at the nearby paved PA Fish and Boat Ramps (we are between Shehawken and Buckingham). Overnight parking for trailered boats is OK in our parking lot.
About Your Hosts: We are two nature-loving families with a 10+ year connection to the area. Our vision is a friendly, peaceful, low-density campground where friendships are made for a lifetime. It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you.
The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes.

Enjoy meals and quality time utilizing multiple areas, such as our wrap around bench, picnic tables, and lean to area. Afterwards, dishes are easy, including late night clean up with our lighted, double sink dishwashing and drying area.
Listen and enjoy your playlists with the Pyle Bluetooth surround system while playing fun yard games or shoot some hoops (bring your own ball). Access our unique bathhouse and clean, interesting outhouse. Build a campfire, whenever you like in our firepit with self-serve firewood. In the evenings, illuminate a portion of the camp with the horseshoe pit overhead lights. Star gazing is amazing with dim lighting or bring a telescope.
The activities and adventure continue offsite and nearby from natural areas and a distillery to outdoor Mexican food with a view. Beyond the river and just a few minutes away, Rock Valley Spirits, offers distillery tours/tastings/cocktails with scenic outdoor views and seating. Grab a bite to eat at Salsa Shack, less than 10 minutes away, while gazing at the lush greenery, mountain views and beaver pond. Afterwards, work off the meal, with an amazing and scenic hike, or walking trails. The famous Jensen Ledges and Patridge Walking Trail are a short drive away. On the way back to camp take a quick dip at the Lordville River Access, stop at the Equinunk General Store or grab some ice cream at The Cow Lick.
Besides the plethora of possibilities, other amenities are included with your stay. As an overview, included with the camp are bulk cooking items (pots, pans, serving utensils, knives, spices), large 15 cup coffee maker/urn and 7 to 14 gallons of fresh, drinkable, well water for your usage. This gorgeous 24' Yurt includes electricity, excellent Wifi, comfortable Queen beds (one mattress on a bed frame and up to two floor mattresses), a refrigerator, and a pristine compost toilet. There is no running water but we provide one gallon of drinking
water and one gallon of water for washing up in the bathroom. You can add-on our outdoors camping shower setup for an additional $30, which is more like a birdbath than a real shower, but you can add hot water so it is warm. Sit on our gorgeous rocking chairs on the deck and grill, and stargaze from bed through the dome in the ceiling.
Please also note that there are extra charges for more than 2 guests ($15/ person/ night), pets ($25/ stay), propane for heat (if needed- $25/ tank) mini-propane for gas grill ($10) wood bundle for outdoor fire ($15) and outdoor shower setup ($30 for us to fill with water, provide biodegradable soap, and two towels). You can add these to your booking under 'Extras'

Wifi
We have excellent high-speed fiberoptic Wifi. There is no cell service, so make sure to save it before you arrive.
Sound
Expect to hear all the sounds of nature that you hear when sleeping in a tent. While the Yurt is insulated and stays warm, sound-wise it is like a tent rather than like a house, so expect to hear the sounds of the woods and the weather during your stay.
Windows
The screen windows close two different ways: to keep the Yurt insulated there is a velcroed thick plastic cover that is clear. To keep out light/ for added privacy you can roll down a solid canvas flap and zip them shut. Please note that both of these things need to happen from outside the Yurt, so you may want to set them how you want them before you turn in for the night. Please reset windows to how you found them when you leave.
Bathroom
Our compost toilet is lined with a compostable trash bag. Please scoop sawdust from the Periwinkle Milk Crate into the toilet after each use of the toilet. You should scoop enough sawdust to completely and generously cover everything in the toilet. When you end your trip and leave the Yurt, and/or when the toilet is 2/3 full, please tie shut the compostable bag and dump the bag into our compost. Every time you use the outdoor compost, please cover what you have disposed of with either leaves or the hay provided in the center bin. (If you are only staying for 1-2 nights and would prefer not to do this, that is totally fine! Just let us know you didn’t get a chance to bring it out.)
There is a pitcher with water and a wash bin for brushing teeth/ washing hands in the bathroom. You can empty the wash bin outside when finished using it. We also provide all-purpose soap.
Heat
The Yurt is well insulated and runs on a propane heater. Please note that propane is not included in your stay and each tank is $25; you can find them under add-ons.
Each propane tank will comfortably heat the yurt a night as cold as 30-degree night up to 24hrs.
Decide how many tanks you'd like depending how long you are staying or how cold you expect it to be. The Yurt will comfortabl heat freezing nights as well, it just will use propane more quickly.
Water
We provide a filtered, clean water with each visit. We also provide a pitcher of water in the bathroom for brushing teeth and washing hands and face. If you are staying longer than two nights, or if you expect for any reason to use more water than provided, we ask that you bring the additional water with you, keeping in mind it is a short (4-minute) hike from parking to the Yurt. In some cases with enough notice we may be able to provide additional water for your stay for an additional charge.
Kitchenette
We provide an electric kettle, a mini fridge and freezer, a microwave for use during your stay. We provide a gas Cuisinart Grill for use on the deck. If you plan to use the grill, please do a $10 mini-propane add-on so we can make sure there is fresh propane provided. We also provide cups, wine glasses, a French Press for coffee making, and plates and bowls. Please do not put the plastic plates and mugs in the microwave.
Please throw any compostable food into the compost bin or compost bag provided in the kitchenette and empty it into our large outdoor compost bin at the end of each day. Every time you use the outdoor compost, please cover what you have disposed of with either leaves or the hay provided in the center bin. Please never leave any food in the Yurt for more than one day that isn’t sealed in an airtight container.
Please do not put meat or dairy products in the compost. If you bring meat or dairy products into the Yurt, we ask that you take any meat or diary trash out with you and dispose of it elsewhere. We have provided trash bags for this purpose. Please keep any meat and dairy products and trash in airtight sealed containers in the Yurt until you are able to dispose of them.
Shower
If you add-on the Shower Setup ($30) we will fill it with water, and provide 2 towels and biodegradable soap. This is an outdoors camping shower enclosed by shower curtains with a dirt floor; it is very rudimentary, but if you add warm water from the kettle it will be nice and warm. Please do not use any of your own products like soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the shower because it will be bad for the forest floor.
Trash
Please dispose of regular trash and recycling in our regular trash cans across from where you park. Walton automatically sorts recycling from trash so both can go in the same bins (we separate our recycling in a different bag just so the trash doesn’t contaminate it, but put it in the same bin as the trash.)
Compost (fruit + veggie scraps, tea + coffee grounds, toilet bag) gets taken to outdoor compost bin on path to parking and covered with hay or leaves
Meat + dairy stays sealed in an airtight container when in the Yurt and taken with you when you leave
Rules
1) Please remove shoes as soon as you enter the Yurt
2) Please scoop sawdust anytime you use the toilet, and please take the toilet sawdust out to the compost bin once it is 2/3 of the way full or when you leave, whichever comes first. (If you are only staying 1-2 nights and prefer not to do this, that is fine, just please let us know you didn’t get a chance to bring out the toilet compost and our cleaner will take care of it.)
3) Please turn off all electricity, including all lights and heaters every time you leave the Yurt, especially when you end your trip.
4) Please never leave any food in the Yurt for more than one day that isn’t sealed in an airtight container. Please put any compostable food in the kitchen compost and take that compost out to the outdoor compost every couple days, covering the compost with leaves or hay once it is disposed of. Please take meat or diary trash with you when you leave.
5) Please do not put the plastic plates and mugs in the microwave.
6) Please wipe down the grill when finished use, make sure to turn off the gas when done, and please do not bring the grill inside the Yurt.
7) Please don't use any products in the shower except the soap

Wood-fired hot tub: See Site #2 description. It's private for site #2 but if you booked Site #1 and no one is in Site #2, you can hike down and use the hot tub too!
Pets: Site #1 is the designated dog-friendly site.
Host Interaction: We are off site most dates in the Fall but if we are around we’ll say hi when you check in.
Access Logistics: Self check-in/out. Borrow the rugged garden cart to haul gear to your site. Trails use reflective markers for easy night navigation.
Liability Waiver and Rules: You'll get a link to e-sign before arrival. One per family or unrelated adult guest.
Waterfall intensity: Varies with weather. Expect a whitewater torrent after very heavy rain or snowmelt or just a steady spring-fed trickle during droughts.
What's nearby? Hancock NY (15 mins), Honesdale PA (20 mins), Bethel and Livingston Manor NY (45 mins). Rent boats and get Delaware River shuttle service from local business O.A.R.S. Of Hancock.
Running Water for outdoor sink and shower: Available May through Mid October. Frosty late Fall bookings - please bring your own drinking water. Hot tub is creek-fed and will work until things freeze over.
Wildlife: We get a lot of questions about bears and also know there's a rising concern about ticks in the northeast. Black bears do traverse the area. We see one scooting away every couple of months on average. They won't bother you. All campers must keep food, trash, cookware, locked away and out of sight. There are ticks in the woods. We find very few on us, even after lots of time in the brush. Check yourself, use repellent, and you'll be fine.

The Hillside Retreat centers around a thoughtfully curated 10’ x 12’ canvas tent perched above the Delaware Valley with sweeping views of the surrounding hills. Inside, you’ll find a queen bed with memory foam mattress and fleece cover, nightstands, a table and chair, a solar fan, a rechargeable camping lamp and solar string lights. Outside, enjoy Adirondack chairs, a hammock, a picnic table, fire pit with grill top, camp stove, cookware, utensils, tableware, seasonings, bug spray, potable mountain water, a private hot and cold on-demand shower and a private loo.
The tent comfortably accommodates two adults and can hold up to four guests. Glamping cots for children or additional adults are available for rental.
We also offer optional bed linen rentals (no pets), rental Yeti coolers with ice blocks and farm fresh eggs for purchase. Complimentary firewood is provided. Our property is cigarette-free.

Pitch your tent on sites throughout our 400 acre farmland. Depending on the location of your site you will be able to either drive there or walk from the main address. Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, on a meadow with views down the valley. 70 acres to wander with a stream to investigate and a hill to climb, enjoying the flora and fauna. There is a Bath House available that is shared with other campsites on the property. It has a claw foot tub/shower, flushing toilet and a large sink ! Nice spot - felt private. Not a lot of sun in this spot so I wouldn’t recommend for colder days. The tub was the easiest kind to use that I’ve experienced which was nice. It still took a while to heat but you could enjoy the fire while it warmed up. There’s a lot of hills and it was very moist and slippery so I fell several times. Don’t plan to bring too much heavy stuff because of the short but steep and bumpy trek to the site. It was nice to have the platform off the ground and the large tent was setup which helped protect from the rain. There’s no flat space at all but everything was setup as well as it could be. The bathroom is very far and up a hill from this site but it was clean and easy to use.
Would recommended to the right camper who is looking for some solitude.

Justamere was a great site. We had enough room for our 16x16 Tent and an additional bathroom tent. Fire pit was great with unlimited firewood. We had the table and additional bench to help set up all our things. Sherri was a great host and super responsive. Service wasn’t great for Verizon but T-Mobile got one bar to atleast make a phone call if need be.

We love the swamp Site 2 site in the Quilted Woods and the ice cream shop! It is so peaceful with all of the bird and frog sounds at night, and feels so remote, but we also always feel safe knowing their house is nearby if something happens. Dan and Corrie are wonderful hosts and great communicators. They are always checking in to make sure everything is going well and if we need anything. We have been back a few times and it’s one of our favorite spots. Highly recommend checking out the ice cream store too!!

We had a wonderful time at Quilted Woods! Daniel and his family take great pride in their land. The ice cream shop is great and for those who think it may make it seem less “rural” - it defintely does not. Once you are back at your campground you are deep in the woods. Me and my two kids (10 and 5 - both moderately experienced campers) explored the property a lot. There are trails with big rock structures to see, it feels raw but navigable. There had been a fair amount of rain in recent days (not while we were camping thankfully) so quite a bit of mud to work around so I’d choose good hiking boots/sneakers that can handle the muck if the weather seems to go that way. We did have an animal visitor on our last night - not sure if bear or other - our campfire was dug out and log stumps rolled and scrapped. We are extremely careful with food and trash storage so all was ok, but Daniel has signs all around regarding food and trash storage (in your car!!!) so I’d recommend following those rules. It was added excitement for the kids for sure and a great story to tell. Any camping in the northeast requires considerations for the wildlife and I am of the mindset to expect to see a bear or other to remain vigilant (esp with kids). It doesn’t diminish the experience at all just keeps you mindful. It is also why so many of us love the experience. Respect nature and it will and love and respect you back. We also drive about 20min to Hancock NY for some light fishing in the Delaware.

Incredible stay!! Felt like a home away from home, even for camping outdoors. Renee was super welcoming and showed us around the beautiful property. Amenities were clean and the linens were obviously just washed! Bedding was super warm on chilly nights thanks to the many blankets provided. Private retreat with so much space. If you’re looking to disconnect for a while, this stay is perfect.

I loved camping on Dan's land! My husband and I had a very short stay of 1 night and I only wish it were longer. Dan is super friendly and helpful and made the directions very clear. His property is huge and beautiful! And family-friendly! So many trails we didn't get the chance to do, but highly recommend the one across the road (won't give the exact name for privacy reasons, but just ask Dan!). He also owns an ice cream shop, a short hike through the woods which is so sweet. Hope to visit again in the future!

We absolutely LOVED camping here…it was truly unreal. The sound of the waterfall was so relaxing. Everything was clean, directions were extremely clear, and the site was well taken care of. The hot tub is work, but completely worth it. Couldn’t get over how clean the outhouse was. Host was very friendly, responsive, gave updates before our trip, and whenever I had questions he answered promptly. You truly feel alone in the best way…you have privacy even if another camper is at the other site. We literally didn’t leave the two nights we were there and definitely want to come back! Highly recommend.

What an unforgettable stay at the Hillside Retreat on Three Barn Farm! From the warm welcome to the incredibly helpful host guide, every detail was spot on. The views and accommodations completely blew us away—the only downside was having to check out! We booked this trip to pick up our kid from summer camp nearby, but we loved it so much that we're already planning a much longer stay for next summer.
