Welcome to Scandinavian Staycation Cabin, nestled in the foothills of the Catskills. This home is your country getaway, mountain views and newly renovated in chic Scandinavian style.
Delaware County, NY is an absolute gem. The cottage is ideally situated in the middle of all the little hot spots this side of the mountain has to offer.
You'll have privacy and access to the entire cabin and all 5.5 acres of natural beauty. Huge picture windows bathe the cabin in light, a wood burning stove, comfortable furnishings along with light hardwood floors completes the look.
Many opportunities for hiking, fishing, and swimming abound. High speed wifi and centrally located, just 12 min into town. 2.5-3 hrs from NYC.
Belleayre Mountain Ski Center is an easy 23 minute drive, a great spot to ski or snowboard. Alternatively, Platekill Mountain is a 19 minute drive and offers some good slopes for snowboarding, snow tubing and skiing.
Main street in the town of Margaretville NY is a picturesque little village, just 12 min by car offering coffee shops, art galleries, a vintage thrift store, farm to table restaurants, the Binnekill Tavern, a favorite of mine and some boutique shops. You can also shop for all your groceries at Freshtown, a large supermarket that services the area.
Take county route 6 over to Andes NY, about a 20 min drive from the cabin and you will find yourself in another super cute little town offering more farm to table restaurants, boutique and antique shops and the hip Wayside Cider Tap Room.

The dining table seats eight, and living room features a fireplace, the perfect spot for quiet music, watching a movie or a lively game night. We really enjoyed our stay at the Scandinavian staycation cabin! The place was spacious, cozy, and the wood stove was our absolute favorite, it made everything feel so warm and homey. On our last morning, we even got some snow flurries, which totally made our day. Our cat loved hanging out on the stairs too. It was a little chilly at times, but overall we enjoyed our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was not only clean and comfortable but also sweetly decorated. It’s clear that a lot of heart and soul was put into the design. The house was also stocked with everything we needed. It was secluded enough for our kids and dogs to run and play outside without worry. And the short drive to the grocery store, shops and restaurants was convenient. Check in and out were seamless. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Hemlock Cabin
We spent two nights at this magical little house, and I think it’s the first time I’ve truly missed a place after leaving.
Everything was thoughtfully crafted — you can feel the love and talent of the people who built it with their own hands. From the smallest kitchen details to the balcony overlooking the creek, and the shower with a floor-to-ceiling window facing the forest — it’s all just perfect.
A huge thank you to the hosts for creating such a cozy and welcoming space.

We had a beautiful long weekend at the Scandinavian Staycation Cabin with our friends and dog. Everything in the home was arranged to be easy to find, clean, and comfortable, and the owner provided clear and helpful instructions for everything we needed. It was a lovely stay and we can’t wait to book another visit!
