This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river (no access to) has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people and the other can accommodate three. The property is such a peaceful spot! We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. So that means Sundays are not available or evenings. The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave and coffee maker. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well! Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible. We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you. We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time. So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first!  Listen to the birds and relax!  And if luck is with you, you might spot a bald eagle!   Want to play with goats? 3 nights at Deep Woods Hideaway

We had a fantastic stay in Billy's camper last weekend when we were in the area to bike at Highland. We enjoyed it so much we're going back next week! His property is private with beautiful Mountain View's and the camper was spotless with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. He was an amazing host, even dropping off wood so we could make a fire in the evening. It felt more like a relaxing getaway than staying in a hotel like we usually do, and the camper had plenty of space for several adults to stay comfortably. He isn't kidding that you need four wheel drive to get up the steep driveway - but the views are worth it!

Weekend Trip to Deep Woods Hideaway

Billy is a great host! He's bought a beautiful plot of land and is developing it himself, and in the mean time has created a few sites for folks of the hipcamp persuasion. We stayed in the camper, it was super comfortable, and Billy was very responsive and helpful to make sure we had a great stay. I'd highly recommend. Only note would be that when you enter the property, it kind of looks like you're driving into a construction site, Billy's driveway goes straight up hill and the address marker is a small plaque on the road. You're in the right place, and if you have trouble finding it just give Billy a call. 10 min from Tilton, Tilt'N Diner is right there, plus a walgreens and anything else you may need. Great spot, we'll be back for sure!

I had a great stay at Ryegate. The cabin was warm and homey, a nice break from camping when the rain and cold arrived. Jessica was welcoming, communicative and responsive. She provided good information about the stay and was kind enough to let me use the shower in the farmhouse, which was much appreciated. The cabin really has all you need... shelter, a cozy bed, a microwave, fridge, and coffee station. Sitting on the front porch with coffee overlooking the river and the mountain tree line is a wonderful way to spend a peaceful morning! The cabin is decorated very cute, which is a nice bonus. Note: You need to be up for a bit of outdoor life ... like using an outhouse and washing dishes in a sink outside. It isn't primitive but it is glamping.

I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was adorably decorated with a cozy rustic aesthetic and felt very welcoming. The bed was super comfortable, and although there was a space heater provided, I didn’t end up needing it. The host was extremely communicative and helpful, even making sure I had a warm shower in the morning, which I really appreciated. The views of the river were beautiful—especially in the morning with the fog rolling across the water. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the animals on the property—it made the experience feel even more special. I also loved that I was able to bring my dog along with me.

Jess was an amazing host and this was by far the most comfy cozy and CLEAN place on our fall New England trip!! The pictures honestly didn’t do it justice. She really took care of all the details you might need and it was very well presented. We got showed in the morning and the hospitality was amazing. The property is very beautiful and peaceful. The cabin had a great view of the river and I enjoyed my stay. My dog was allowed which I always appreciate. Jessica brought a heater for me which was perfect for the chilly nights. I arrived at night and did not see the sink/hose for water. You do have to turn the water on and off from the house. Jessica was very responsive and I was able to meet and chat with her. There are chickens, ducks, and 2 goats but I did not hear any of them at all from the cabin.

Lots of great, dry wood, and you couldn’t pick up the s’mores supplies cheaper yourself— made it all that much easier to have an enjoyable evening.

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying in Billy's camper! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. The camper was spotlessly clean, incredibly cozy, and comfortable. Billy is an exceptional host - kind, accommodating, and genuinely attentive to our needs. This was our first camper experience, Billy took the time to welcome us personally and give us a thorough tour of all the amenities. His hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We were searching for the perfect weekend escape that offered both seclusion and stunning natural beauty, and this location delivered exactly that. The views were breathtaking, and the peaceful setting was just what we needed to unwind. Our dog absolutely loved the stay, especially getting to hang out with Billy's friendly furry co-hosts, Pumpkin and Ranger! It was heartwarming to see them all become fast friends. The camper itself exceeded our expectations, offering every comfort we could want: a wonderfully warm space on cool nights, a comfortable bed, a cozy fireplace with reclining seats, and a hot shower. Billy checked in with us daily, ensuring we had everything we needed, and was always just minutes away if we required anything. He provided excellent recommendations for nearby trails and hikes that really enhanced our outdoor adventure. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a perfect blend of comfort and nature!
