Sunset Hill Orchard was operated as a family-managed fully operating Apple Orchard from the 1940s until 2000. The Orchard still has hundreds of apple trees and in the transition to the next generation, hosted events for many years. We have a beautifully manicured clearing with a fire pit and the second largest ash Tree in the state of NH; The New Hampshire Big Tree County Champion for Hillsboro County. We decided to shift our offering to a more community-oriented and environment-friendly area.

THIS CAN BE RENTED AS A CAMPSITE ONLY. Our 3-acre property is surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots country charm. At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. You will notice lots of them throughout the property!
Our site is a well manicured area near our house on a 3-acre parcel. There is lots of sun and shade depending on when and where you happen to be on the site. There is plenty of space to pull out your favorite lawn game and a great firepit to keep warm at night. We are about 10 minutes from Clough State Park where there is plenty to do including swimming, paddling, biking, hiking, ATVing, etc. Our site has 50amp service and filtered well water (2 spigots). Depending on how long your RV is, you may not be able to put our your awning all the way.

Secluded in the wilderness, Boulder Brook Hipcamp has private tent sites right next to a babbling brook. The access road is a nice gravel .6 mile long road that is not maintained in the Winter. There is firewood for sale via Venmo right in the parking area, $6 per bundle. There is also a nice outhouse. There are 4 first come, first serve sites with tent platforms and fire pits. There is quick access to the Rockingham Recreational Trail, which is ideal for walking, mountain biking, and exploring. There is also a great swimming hole nearby called Chivers Pond. The campsites are located on the back corner of the Chivers Farm property and seasonal farm goods will be available for campers to purchase coming in 2025.

Campsite is situated in the wooded area on our property land that integrates into hundreds of acres of conservation land with hiking trails that are also great for XC skiing, kettle ponds, and wetlands. The property is surrounded on 3 sides by conservation land with trails, 45 minutes from Boston and 10 minute drive to groceries, stores and restaurants.
The house is right off a country road with our property and conservation land both across the street and behind our house. The area is in the heart of New England and is beautiful at all times of year. Minutes from Rte 495 and 2, we are along a popular bike route, 10 minutes from Carlson Orchards and the bistro/cafe Harvard General Store.
We have goats, chickens, and lambs that guests can say hi to.
Please note: Guests may camp only on the terrace unless otherwise approved. We do not sell or provide wood, electricity , shower. There is a woodpile but we cannot share this with guests but it’s our winter heat source, however we know a place you can collect cut from for a small fire. Harvey's Hill has been a beloved part of Epping for generations. In the summer, you might see small planes taking off from the hilltop airstrip or locals walking their dogs up to catch the sunset. In the fall, my aunt Erica makes donuts down in the Milk Room, and in the winter, the hill fills with sledders racing down its snowy slope.

We had a wonderful time, on a very hot summer day & night, at Claudine's glamping spot on White Pond. Very comfy bed and indoor set-up, and lots more creature comforts/amenities. We would happily return and our dog loved the experience (especially the swimming) too!

The Brickyard site was a pretty spot! It is very large with a great river view, fire pit, table, chairs, propane lantern & a privacy tent with a cedar chip toilet set up. There is a steep bank to the river directly in front of this site, but there is great access a short walk away where the kayaks/canoes are. We took our dog for swims there & I took out one of the kayaks. It is a great river for boating & wildlife watching (plenty of beavers), but I personally wouldn't swim in it (muddy bottom & very dark). Kevin is a fantastic host and very attentive. We really appreciated his offer of fresh garden tomatoes, use of the outdoor shower set up, suggestions for nearby swimming spots & all around great conversation!
Just a word of clarification about the Brickyard site. It is listed as a small RV/tent camper site, but you can't really tow anything down into the site. The access is narrow. If you have a RV/trailer you will need to park in the yard at the top of the path going down the embankment to the site. We were taken aback at first because we have a jeep with an overland trailer with a rooftop tent on it and we were expecting to be able to set up down by the river, not in the yard. Although it is a pretty yard, it is close to the road with not much privacy so it would not have felt like camping. Thankfully, we had our pop-up gazebo, so we were able to set up by the river & only go up to the yard to sleep. It ended up working out great & we enjoyed our stay!

Claudine & Henry are very sweet & accommodating! Their property was amazing as it felt like being at a fancy hotel with nature's touch! Swimming multiple times in the pond and enjoying meals on the floating dock really made our trip! The electric kettle and toaster oven were also extremely useful especially during bad weather!

Kevin was awesome! Super friendly and accommodating. The site wasn't setup for my truck and rooftop tent but he found a way to make it work on a spot just up the hill and it was perfect. He had a canoe and kayaks to use and for $10 a night, he supplied all the firewood. The 2 sites met in a common area with the fire pit and a nice spot to sit by the river and put the kayaks in the water. We will definitely be going back

Kevin was a fantastic host and made our stay easy from start to finish. He was available whenever we needed something while still giving us plenty of privacy. His house is fairly close to the tent sites, but it never felt intrusive. Firewood was available for purchase and delivered right to the fire pit area, which was a nice convenience.
The tent sites are a short walk from the parking area, so you can’t drive directly to them. Kevin made transporting our gear easy by using his four-wheeler and trailer to help.
We rented both tent sites, which are separated by a shared community area with a riverside seating area, picnic table, fire pit, and a cedar wood chip toilet inside a privacy tent. There was also a solar shower available, though we didn’t use it. It’s a great spot to launch a kayak or canoe, and Kevin has both available if you don’t have your own. Our dogs were welcome too, as long as they stayed on a leash.
The Contoocook River was the highlight of our stay. It’s beautiful for paddling and exploring. The riverbed near the campsites is quite mucky, so it’s not ideal for swimming there, but paddling upstream leads to some great swimming spots.
Overall, we had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be back. We’d highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a peaceful riverside getaway with a friendly, accommodating host.

My husband, pup, and I really enjoyed our stay at White Pond! The spot is very peaceful but there are plenty of things to do- swim, take the barge out, fish, kayak, make a fire at night, etc. The hosts were also lovely and very helpful if we needed anything. If you're looking for a place to reset, this is it!

Fantastic getaway spot! A private, peaceful, and perfect place to unplug for a few days. The location was beautiful with great hiking trails nearby! The host, Jon, was very welcoming and incredibly responsive to questions. There is great cell service here (Verizon), a fire pit with chairs, camp stove, king sized bed, a speaker !!, pots, pans & utensils. Many games and books to play/read. Lots of outdoor equipment! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway! I will absolutely be coming back!!

Harvey's Hill was a fantastic place to stay at. The view was gorgeous, if you have clear skies the sunsets are spectacular. The shipping container with bathrooms was great to have. This was a wonderful and unique experience. Would definitely stay again in the future if in the area.
