Sacred Nectar rests on the land of the Wabanaki Tribes. This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's top treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. A unique glamping getaway nestled on a mountainside, 4 miles from Evans Notch, in Chatham, NH.
We have three 10x12 glamping tents tucked away in the forest on 6 acres, behind our home with glimpses of the surrounding mountains through the trees.
Private and tranquil- each tent has a queen sized bed with flannel sheets, a light comforter, and a lantern.
The front porch has two Adirondack chairs looking out over the forest. Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and a cabinet filled with basic cook wear, plates and cups, a French press, kettle, and utensils for making meals over a campfire.
Our double-header outhouse is clean and beautiful- a guest favorite!
There is a short 1/8 mile walk through the woods to the camp- we provide garden wagons to tote your gear.
Follow the camp path to our wooded sanctuary, sleep among the trees, marvel at the stars, tell tall tales around the fire, and unwind!

Fall is in the air and the colors are starting to show. AC units are out and the cabins are heated for those chilly mornings along with cozy blankets!
This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river (no access to) has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people (full size bed) and the other can accommodate three, 1 queen bed and a twin bed)
The property is such a peaceful spot!
We have a rustic outhouse, and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available every weekday from 8am to 9am.
Night showers possible as well, just ask!
Both cabins have a fridge, and microwave and coffee maker to enjoy.
We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well!
Enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings and listen to the birds. Bottled water is included as well and placed in your fridge upon arrival. Potable water also easily accessible.
We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you.
We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also, pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time.
So, with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river.
Listen to the birds and relax! And if luck is with you, you might spot a bald eagle
Fresh eggs are available for sale and you can even say hi to the chickens on site! $5.00 a dozen!!
We are 30 minutes from Lake Morey concert venue!

Hiking trails are nearby including Groton State Forest, hiking near Willoughby Lake is only about 45 minutes away and is worth the trip! Come experience the green mountains and we are not far from the White mountains of NH.

Dancing Bear Farm is a working farm with silvopastured chickens, turkeys, goats, and horses. Campsites are at the edge of the hayfields overlooking a view of Mt. Ascutney and Mt. Sunapee and excellent sunrises!
During your stay you are welcome to visit the animals, explore the forested trails, and walk up to the pond. There is a shared campfire and pavilion that guests are welcome to use, as well as a restroom with flush toilet and handwashing sink close to the campsites. Firewood is provided though we also have higher quality firewood bundles available to purchase.
We can also offer a customized farm experience for an additional cost! Hike with the goats, harvest in the garden, or meet the baby animals! Traveling with kids? We can offer a private kids farm class while the grownups head off for their own adventures.
We sometimes host educational workshops on site, including in the pavilion. When you book we will let you know if your stay coincides with an educational program. Guests are welcome to join in with a 15% discount to any of our public workshops!

The yurt is grid-powered, the stars aren't.
For an even more immersive nature experience, The Orchard on Apple Hill road is ready for your tent or hammock, along with an outdoor kitchen, two hot showers and compost toilets, picnic tables and firepit, and propane cooking burners. The Orchard's solar kit can charge your equipment and boil a kettle for your hot morning cup.
The Pond on The Hillside is open to guests for swimming or skating at the case may be.
If you'd like to reserve our woodfired hot tub, please do so at least 7 days before your arrival so we have time to schedule the firemaster.
Firewood is included with all sites, so please don't travel with firewood as it's a great way to transport forest-devastating invasive insects.
Hikers are welcome to wander along old logging roads through our sugarbush, and along trails throughout the remainder of the property (300+ ac. total) where there are numerous springs and creeks, mystical softwoods, expansive grassy fields, and a wild apple orchard. Moose, deer, and bear tracks are common, but animal encounters are not - still, please sequester your food accordingly and be mindful to carry out scraps or place them in lidded containers.

We had a wonderful stay at this pet‑friendly cabin overlooking the Connecticut River. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for. The cabin itself is just as listed; impeccably clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Jessica, the host, was kind and accommodating throughout our stay.
We brought both our cat and dog, and the space worked perfectly for all of us. Jessica provided an electric heater in anticipation of a chilly night, but we didn’t end up needing it—the cabin is well insulated and stayed warm on its own. The outhouse is exactly what you’d expect, but it was clean, well maintained, and easy to use.
There were lots of small, well‑considered amenities that made the stay even nicer, and we really appreciated the care that went into creating a welcoming space. We would absolutely recommend this spot and would happily stay again.

You are living in a beautiful, detailed puzzle in a beautiful spot. It's really well-equipped with two fire pits (one with a grill for cooking, and water to rinse (not drink) in the cabin. It's warm and clean and has windows for light and air. You're about a mile from the main camp area, which has showers and more cooking stuff and electricity. You can't see or hear any other campsites from where you are.

Had a wonderful time staying at Angela's property. She is a lovely and attentive hostess who provides everything you need for a comfortable and cozy stay.. lots of blankets for chilly nights, cooking supplies to make your campfire meals, and plenty of drinking water all surrounded by her beautiful gardens. The highlight of our visit was spending nights on her outdoor patio, stargazing and listening to owls converse with each other in the forest. Can't recommend Angela's place enough!

Weekend Trip to Pine Brook Retreat
Loved this little slice of heaven! Private camping area next to the river but close to conveniences.
Their dog was super sweet and our dog enjoyed the friend visiting. We could hear owls at night, and saw a Bob cat! The hill was humbling so I would pack lighter next time but worth it! The A frame with King air mattress was fun to lay in and listen to the rain. The outhouse they have built was perfect size. The fire pit was nice and I very much enjoyed the swing they have at the site. Nice little stop over area or week away site. Highly recommended.

Cabin was cute and clean and nicely stocked with essentials and even some pleasant extras. The bathroom space was clean and well stocked with necessities, the firepit was lovely and well kept and the mountain view was absolutely extraordinary. It's close to the house and another small cabin but situated so it was still very private. Jess was accommodating and kind.

Jessica was an amazing host! The cabin was nicely decorated and was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Truly enjoyed having that glamping experience while having access to an ac, mini fridge, microwave, grill and options to purchase eggs, firewood and smores packages. The outdoor bathroom was very clean and easy to use. Additionally, Jessica was able to accommodate an evening shower. I’m not much of an outdoorsy person (but my boyfriend is) so having easy access to all of these items made it very homey. I also love how dog friendly the location is. Our dog also enjoyed her stay and didn’t want to leave. All of the local recommendations were a 10/10 and we were even able to enjoy some stargazing during our evenings. Overall such a great experience! Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back soon! :)

Weekend Trip to Streeter Mountain Farm
Had an amazing trip here, I loved the two kitties running around the farm and just exploring the general land. The lighthouse was super beautiful and isolated (though I suggest the farm tells people to avoid certain areas because a few people didn’t realize it wasn’t public). Anyhow, I absolutely loved this place and the staff were super cool and helpful. I hope to revisit again, it was the perfect birthday gift for my partner. Every night there were lots of coyotes, but I felt very safe in our tree. There were a lot more amenities available than I thought, and the staff was very straightforward about what they had to offer. If rain is in the forecast, the lighthouse is perfect and stays very dry. It definitely can get cold so bring lots of blankets! Thank you all so much!

My 2 teenagers and I had a really good time camping the tent and all the accessories provided made it less stressful for a Friday after work.. we were NOT prepared for the bathroom accommodations and that there were not any other bathrooms to utilize, even on the beach there wasn’t a bathroom??? Odd!!! Also the directions weren’t clear.. we drove around for over an hour trying to find the camp.. I also tried to contact Donna and never heard back.. Frustrating!! Eventually we found the camp and we enjoyed every minute we had together!!

Okay, where to even start? By far the COOLEST place I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying. The escape room aspect kept us entertained for hours even though we couldn’t figure out the last clue it was a blast, This place is magical in every way. Jessica was a fantastic host, and her place was great. We stayed in the smaller cabin with our dog, and had just the right amount of space, and enough creature comforts to elevate our camping experience over our typical tenting outings. Jessica was very helpful with suggestions of things to do locally, and we also enjoyed just sitting on the porch reading and watching the eagles.
