We are off the beaten path in the forest near the White Mountain National Forest. A 6 to 8 minute hike from your site gets you to a private lake. We have two local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure. There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain right from your site. We improved upon our tenant's idea by adding a proper outhouse and outdoor shower area. The space offered us a quiet haven during hectic times and now we are ready to share that opportunity. Our yurt sits on a quiet and private nook on our 7 acre property. We are right in between Kennebunk and Biddeford so there are quite a number of areas to explore if you make us your home base. It is a lovely 6 mile ride to Goose Rocks Beach or you can spend an afternoon walking around Dock's Square in Kennebunkport. Biddeford is a rapidly rebuilding mill town that has made several high profile food and travel publications for its great dining spots. If you are visiting to get away from the city, we are less than a mile away from the Eastern Trail which connects South Portland to Kittery, ME. Bring a bike or plan a quiet walk. The tent is 50 yards up a rustic wooded path through the woods and the yurt is an 800 yard (10 minute) uphill walk from the parking area. Both sites are adjacent to our local network of hiking/biking trails that connect to the summit of Mount Agassiz, which offers stunning views of Franconia Notch. Additionally, within a half hour drive, you have access to some of the best hiking in the North East. We are happy to provide recommendations! The surrounding towns are home to three different breweries, numerous restaurants serving up delicious food and quaint main streets. Through the generous permission of surrounding landowners and the stewardship of the Bethlehem Trails Association, guests can access this trail network to enjoy the views from the summit of Mount Agassiz for top notch single-track mountain biking. We live one town over and are just a phone call away. If you walk the trails, you may encounter a friendly neighbor's dog but all our guests enjoy the privacy and solitude the mountain provides. This is such a lovely and peaceful spot. It's so clear that a lot of thought went into the details. The main house can be seen from the campsite but it still feels very private (compared to others I've stayed at) because of the direction the yurt faces and tree coverage. Everything you could think to need is provided, while still maintaining the feeling of sleeping under the stars. Would have loved to stay longer!

We loved our two-night stay at Sunrise Cabin! The cabin is beautiful, peaceful, and private, and sleeping out on the sunroom was incredible!! We were visited by the sheep herd one morning and got to see them right outside the cabin. We stayed with our two cats who made themselves right at home. Sandi let us come down and meet the horses, chickens, and of course the sheep, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. There was tons of birdwatching (LOTS of hummingbirds), including owls at night. A wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back!! Thanks again for a great time, Sandi and Brandon!!

The escape room aspect kept us entertained for hours even though we couldn’t figure out the last clue it was a blast, This place is magical in every way. This place is wonderful and so peaceful. The tent is wonderful, super comfortable, and clean. The bedding was soft and warm. And the view was just lovely--especially if you are into star gazing. The yard for each tent is well equipped, well maintained, lots of places to sit and eat. I absolutely loved it. And the bathrooms are immaculate and insanely cute. Look at the pics! There are *plants and books* in there. And Lori the host is lovely too. After ten years of camping in the Whites, I've finally found my spot. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Would highly recommend for a private and restorative stay, just minutes away from what you need from the general store, and route 1 to launch 🚀 and explore anything southern Maine has to offer you. There’s also an owl on the property!

2 nights at Mountain View Gardens & Apiary

This is a great little spot to get away from life. The walk-in is manageable, and at night the pathway is well-lit. The different lights and lanterns are quite magical! I didn't use the gazebo, but it would be a great place to spend a night by the campfire with friends. The yurt is nestled in a shaded spot in the woods past the gazebo and offers complete privacy. It has a covered porch with a cookstove and water station. A table/chairs, tiki torches, and a fire pit complete the site. The loo is further back, and that path is also able to be lit at night with tiki's. The yurt itself was very comfortable, despite the heat and humidity during my stay. I used the provided fan when needed and slept great on the very comfortable bed. There are some great reading materials available in the yurt, along with most everything you might need. The solar electric was more than enough for my needs. I'd never stayed in a yurt before and didn't know what to expect, but the way it is set up and decorated, it was really a cool stay!! The mosquitoes weren't bad. I did set up my ThermaCell, though, and that was enough to keep the few around at bay. Angela is readily available if you have any questions or concerns. What I liked most about this wa the "secluded" feel without sacrificing that sense of security. My dog was able to wander about and get in and out of the yurt at will with the mesh screen. It's a great location for exploring all the area has to offer in any direction. Book it!

3 nights at Streeter Mountain Farm

Very calm and peaceful. Lovely view of the mountains during sunrise from the balcony, Josh is extremely hospitable and accommodating I was traveling alone and he made sure I felt safe and comfortable there the entire trip. A wonderful place for family couples are even just a solo trip to get out of your hometown. The farm cat were so cute and so friendly. As well as the farm dog. Many pollinating flowers with buzzing bees, nearby bugs, and birds will ease you to rest at night.

The most comfortable camping experience I’ve ever had! Super well equipped with everything you’d need. That shower is magical, and the bed is too. Watching the stars through the top of the yurt while laying in bed is so beautiful, 10/10 stay would love to come back again someday :)

5 nights at BrandiLee Woods at the Woolley farm

This was our second time staying at Sunrise Cabin. We’ve just returned home today and already can’t wait to go back. This farm is incredibly peaceful and makes for a restorative stay. Sandi has thought of everything campers might need to have the comfort of home during their stay and despite the cabins rural location we had every creature comfort. This location allows for all the serenity and privacy you might want and the consideration of hosts who came out during our visit to change a fire alarm battery just to ensure the noise didn’t obstruct our relaxation at the cabin. We brought along our new 4 legged addition to the cabin and Sandi was kind enough to leave a few treats and a doggy towel for him with the upcoming rainy forecast. Both the humans and the k9 on this trip loved taking daily walks on well maintained trails on the property. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough
