The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. It was Town's place to get away from the busy life. As time went on and his money dwindled and plans to sell off some of the land arose.
Townsend's son, Nick, foresaw a devastating development of conventional homes that would diminish the soul of this sacred land that held so much magic. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. HipCamp was the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an Intentional lifestyle. One in which we hope to share our way of being that brings awareness to the natural world we have fallen so far from. Nick and his tribe of like minds are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Harvey's Hill has been a beloved part of Epping for generations. In the summer, you might see small planes taking off from the hilltop airstrip or locals walking their dogs up to catch the sunset. In the fall, my aunt Erica makes donuts down in the Milk Room, and in the winter, the hill fills with sledders racing down its snowy slope.
Many celebrations have taken place here over the years, including weddings, reunions, and picnics.
The Cantina is a new addition to the top of the hill. It includes three bathrooms, a kitchen, and electricity. While simple and minimalist, these amenities make the site more comfortable, and we hope they enhance your stay.

A unique glamping getaway nestled on a mountainside, 4 miles from Evans Notch, in Chatham, NH.
We have three 10x12 glamping tents tucked away in the forest on 6 acres, behind our home with glimpses of the surrounding mountains through the trees.
Private and tranquil- each tent has a queen sized bed with flannel sheets, a light comforter, and a lantern.
The front porch has two Adirondack chairs looking out over the forest. Each campsite has a fire pit, picnic table, and a cabinet filled with basic cook wear, plates and cups, a French press, kettle, and utensils for making meals over a campfire.
Our double-header outhouse is clean and beautiful- a guest favorite!
There is a short 1/8 mile walk through the woods to the camp- we provide garden wagons to tote your gear.
Follow the camp path to our wooded sanctuary, sleep among the trees, marvel at the stars, tell tall tales around the fire, and unwind!

This is clearly a great spot as a home base for many outdoor activities that Conway has to offer. The host was a delight, friendly and it is very apparent this site is a labor of love - the small details really shine here, from the fire pit covers to the thoughtfully placed tiki torches lighting the way to the loo, it's well considered and easy to recede into a relaxed state.
Despite being a New Hampshire resident most all my life, this little site felt new and unique in ways I've not experienced elsewhere in NH. Sleeps three grown men just fine, you could easily make this site work (without a tent, hammock or other solution, speaking all sleeping inside the yurt here) for a few parents and two children.
This is a great spot for folks looking to lean into the camping experience, without abandoning too many creature comforts. With civilization just 6-8min away, you get the peace and serenity of the natural environment with the peace of mind of resources and medical services immediately accessible nearby.
Give it a try, it might even become a new favorite!

We eloped with Lori on her property at the camps, it was the most beautiful, peaceful day we ever could have wanted. We had a perfect, clear view of the starry night sky, and woke up to the sunrise glowing in our tents window. Lori is a fantastic host, from the fresh flowers to the firewood. The outhouses are also spectacular! We plan to come back to this spot for our anniversaries, it is just so great!

You are living in a beautiful, detailed puzzle in a beautiful spot. It's really well-equipped with two fire pits (one with a grill for cooking, and water to rinse (not drink) in the cabin. It's warm and clean and has windows for light and air. You're about a mile from the main camp area, which has showers and more cooking stuff and electricity. You can't see or hear any other campsites from where you are.

She is a lovely and attentive hostess who provides everything you need for a comfortable and cozy stay.. lots of blankets for chilly nights, cooking supplies to make your campfire meals, and plenty of drinking water all surrounded by her beautiful gardens. The highlight of our visit was spending nights on her outdoor patio, stargazing and listening to owls converse with each other in the forest. Can't recommend Angela's place enough!

Weekend Trip to Emerald Green Cabin
It felt very private, cozy, and peaceful. The river trail is also very close, which was amazing! The cabin had everything we needed, and we especially loved how cozy it felt and how it smelled like fresh wood. Thank you again for your hospitality

Weekend Trip to Yurty Expectations Conga Camp Maine
Cliff was very hospitable!!! The yurt was roomy and tidy. The drinking water was very good. We did a couple hikes on the area. We had a great time yurting!

Weekend Trip to Tuttles Homestead
Everything was fantastic. Mark and Trish were friendly, quick to respond when we had questions, but also gave us our space. The cabin is great and the outhouse was very clean. Having a place to shower a little down the hill was very nice after hiking.
It was ~15 minutes from Cornish which made for easy shopping and good restaurants. Between weather and good restaurants, we ended up eating out both nights, but the fire pit, grill, and washing setup looked like they would make for a very nice evening of grilling. We hope to be back!
