Nice spot. Make sure to call ahead.
Cool location, owner was annoyed.
If you go through Hipcamp she will let you know about how frustrated they are with it. Stated it was cheaper to go through them rather than Hipcamp, so that is something. Host or Hipcamp needs to figure this out with each other.
Be aware, there is no contact number or info provided by owner/Hipcamp for these sites from the app so make sure to call the location before close of business so confirm stay. You have to get a badge to scan in to access the site. They are available to let you in until 10 by leaving a key out for you but if you go through hip camp they do not leave your key at the drop spot, you have to call from doorbell, then be met with an annoyed owner that will let you know NOT to use Hipcamp and then have you sign paperwork to receive your passkey.
I get the annoyance, but it’s not my problem as your guest. Take it up with Hipcamp.
Campsites are nice, but most by river are small, be aware you will need trailer maneuvering skills for most sites, it can be tight.
Nice bathrooms and showers, other staff were very friendly. Campground itself felt very safe.
I may go back in a pinch since it’s affordable.
